Hi, Everytime I turned around Ms Anya (owner) or someone was cleaning, up keeping and beautifying the place. Graced us w an abundance of clean towels, high quality toilet paper and extra herbs, spices and beautf dishes in the kitchen. Mr Eric who checked me in was friendly and at same time him and Ms Anya gave me all the privacy and solitude I prefer and needed - I felt welcomed, respected and Ms Anya looked out for me when had special bathroom needs because of medical issues. I can not say enough how they make the space feel as if it was our own and how I recommend and I enjoyed my stay. Was truly sad to leave... I wish her and all cont'd fulfillment, health and success ~Thanks again Avalon for being such a safe and magical haven, even if for a few days :)) Ellie *They're #19 on the map

amazing stay! Gorgeous room in the garden, the owner is so sweet and has amazing energy, loved being able to book yoga at the hotel plus it is super close to the city center and nature for a nice walk by the river. Can’t recommend enough

Our stay was amazing. The property reminds me almost of a French countryside house. We loved the kitchen with the outdoor eating area. Our room was perfect and we were very comfortable. And to make it even better, the people and owner were super nice.

We were upstairs, so having to share a single bathroom downstairs was slightly inconvenient. The roosters and dogs barking made it hard to sleep, so have headphones or ear plugs.

Aniya is a super host. I would like to return in the future. My room was very charming and comfortable. I should have booked more days.

The occasional chicken noise in the early morning hours from a neighbor's property. Not the fault of the homestay.

it was wonderful and feel like home staying at Avalon, Ania is a super nice host, she made us feel welcomed with good energy and the place was very clean and the view is excellent. the location is perfect not far from the center but quite in the night. great value! we would love to stay for longer but it was full the next day. Thank you Ania for everything! We would definitely 100% recommend Avalon!😊😊

this was one of my favourite places in all of ecuador, really lovely old charming wooden house and a quiet backyard with lots of interesting plants and chickens. felt like the countryside. beautiful views from our room on the second floor! lovely owner too.

I believe that coming to Vilcabamba and staying at Avalon was one of the best things I did in Ecuador! My stay was very spiritual, with yoga classes twice per day combined with hiking around and discovering the area. Anya is an amazing host and a yoga teacher, I highly recommend taking one of her morning classes! I also enjoyed discovering the basics of yoga with Erick - a private yoga teacher who's also staying there. Apart from that, I'd say that the Wifi connection is pretty decent at Avalon - as I work remotely, I was able to host Zoom meetings without any problems.

A beautiful old adobe Ecuadorian house, lovingly restored and thoughtfully appointed, we felt more like we were staying in a boutique hotel than a budget hostel. Great location, great views from our room, kind and considerate host, highly recommended
