Family weekend to attend the Taste of Chicago. Nice house. Great communication with host.

Great service

Positives - Property manager is very easy to communicate. During our stay we had an issue with the bathroom door lock and it was addressed promptly. Negatives - 1) Misrepresentation of bed sizes. Second and third beds are NOT QUEEN as shown in the listing. Both are Full size. 2) Location is NOT SAFE for family stay.

If you are someone new to visiting Chicago, as me and my family were, I would strongly suggest you research this area before reserving. I chose this listing because of its relative proximity to downtown. But once we arrived, we absolutely did not feel comfortable in that environment and opted to stay in a hotel instead. I think it’s safe to say there’s a reason why there’s no exterior pictures of the house or the neighborhood as you often see with other listings. This may be suitable for some families but certainly not for us nor would I suggest other families like us. Do your homework before signing so you don’t make the mistake I did.

Everyone loved their stay at this particular property. It was cozy and very peaceful. The owner communicated very well once it came time to start our vacation from Wisconsin to Illinois.

The host communicated well. The area was busy but felt safe. I felt it was expensive for the location. Very clean.

We stayed here for a family trip to Chicago to visit the bean and city shopping and also went to Solider Field! Ms Linnie was Awesome to deal with and her accommodating was spot on! The reason I put so so for the title was because every Uber driver said oh you are saying a “so so” area? In the posting there isn't a picture of the out side of the house, its a run down house but refurbished . The neighborhood is very diverse. We didn’t feel safe being outside after dark. Although we did meet Ms V and her sister Ms J across the street and were more than welcoming and super to talk to! Reassured us we would be safe. The inside of the house is pretty nice and had most of what we needed. A few things that are in need of work. The refrigerator needs a new handle on the freezer section, there wasn’t a coffee pot or coffee so had to travel to get some. A few more towels would be recommended. Also it was warm and the downstairs air wasn’t working but contacted the host said it wasn’t hooked up? The bedrooms upstairs did work. Not an area to keep windows open. Also the electrical outlets in the upstairs back bathroom did not work to use my hairdryer or flat iron. Had to use the bathroom one? There is nothing to walk to in the vicinity and wouldn’t trust the area to walk as previous reviews had stated. Overall we made it work!

The house was nice and clean very accessible to the expressway…I would definitely stay here again and also would recommend anybody else to stay here also…

The place was very , nice ,clean and in a Great neighborhood no problems whatsoever I’d highly recommend to other and myself again when looking for somewhere to get away from on the weekend keep up the good Work.

The bed was broke railing was loose closet door was broke no doors could lock lights flipping on and off

The property is beautiful, super clean, updated and big, just what I needed!Ms.Linnie was great every question I had she answered it and answered her phone everytime, I would book here again!

Thank You Miss Linnie. My Husband and I enjoyed staying in your home. The bed was super soft. The people in the neighborhood are extremely nice and helpful. 7 minutes walk to the Blue Line, which my husband and I used everyday and night we were there.

We were too busy exploring that We didn’t spend much time at the house but we had everything we needed while there.

Great little house. This place is in a current fixer upper neighborhood. The host is friendly, reachable and cares about her property. The neighborhood is “up and coming” as the they say. We had no issues with our property or safety. I would like to see the back gate get a little matinees so it can be secured from the inside. Overall great place for the value. Would stay again.

Centrally located in the Chicagoland. Great communication with property owner. Private spaces for all. I would recommend and use property again in the future.

Ms Linnie is a 10/10 property manager. She was available at any time for questions and promptly dropped by to show us where extra towels were when we asked. The downstairs area is a perfect layout for gatherings where we had movie nights, played card games, shared stories over beers, and ordered very late night pizzas. The location definitely made me uneasy once my local chicago friends told me about it. As a female, I was definitely on edge during my stay. However, we didn’t have a single issue with any of the neighbors and felt like the house was secured well at night. We love Ms Linnie!

Overall we had a good stay. Checkin was very easy and convenient. Towels and face cloths were left in the bedrooms. And there were seasonings and spices available for our use. With a few minor updates, the place would be peefect. But we were happy with our accommodations.

Don't let the location fool you, friendly neighbors. Easy access to the city, clean house, plenty of room and Ms. Linnie was great!

We had a blast renting this unit, the kitchen is spacious, clean, functional and did I mention it has gas😊. The host was easy to get ahold of and very friendly.

We had a wonderful experience during our stay over memorial day weekend, the house was lovely, and Ms. Linnie was a very kind, helpful, and courteous host. The other reviews complaining about the “surroundings” need to check their biases - the neighborhood was totally fine, there is no reason for any reasonable person to feel unsafe.
