Great place to stay! There is a lot of glass furniture in case anyone is bringing babies/toddlers.

View of the water is excellent. It is a central location for traveling around the island. We liked the laid-back, non-resort atmosphere.

We have stayed at Sugar Beach many times in various units over the last couple of decades. This unit is indeed very nice and a good value. We did notice some maintenance issues and we brought them up to Melissa at the office. Melissa was appreciative and so attentive. I must say, she was a joy to speak with and she was very helpful in many ways during our stay. She took care of our concerns and questions immediately. We would rent this unit again.

The condo was clean. Kitchen is adequately maintained. Spectacular view from the balcony. Could use new glass top stove for easier cleaning. More dishes would help. Sliding glass door is heavy to open and close, needs new rollers. Screen does not close well. Pretty good small appliances. TV is small and has very slow cable to change channels. The building itself needs fresh paint and flooring is bit old. Though, flowering plants and greens are well maintained. Good beach for walking. Did not use pool, but looks good. Lawn chairs are nice.

The condo was exactly as advertised. It, along with the rest of the facilities was clean and peaceful. 100% would stay again.

Bedroom carpet old and dingy. Shower grout moldy, needs attention as do the ceiling fans, dusty. The condo and all linens had a strong (Gain detergent?) smell, over powering seemed to try to mask other unwanted scents. Otherwise, the unit was fine, we always enjoy being in Maui! ;))

Disappointed to find the overall property was more run down and outdated than expected, especially considering the price. There were some updates done on our room but but so much more was needed including a new floor and fresh coat of paint. The view was amazing however.

Loved walking on the beach every morning!

We had an amazing stay. Favorite part was relaxing on the lanai watching sunsets every night. You have to drive a little bit (5-10 min) to where all the restaurants and grocery stores are but there was a great sandwich shop within walking distance that was open late.

The view was amazing from the condo. The ocean is right there and you could watch the beautiful sunsets while having dinner. The resort is easy to find and in a great location. The pool was great and the beach was wonderful for walking on. The condo was a perfect size for the two of us and had everything that we needed for a holiday. We would def go back to this condo.

My husband and I rented this property for our honeymoon. It was in a perfect location and the view from our balcony was amazing. We watched the sunset from our place each night. I would highly recommend this place!

Comfortable with everything one would need. Wonderful views. The second floor location is perfect. Easy access to pool and 2nd floor parking deck is incredibly convenient for luggage.

Amazing view, can watch the waves while sipping coffee. Very clean, they left lots of towels and coffee out for us which was very appreciated. Would recommend

First the good things… the view was beautiful and the place was clean and perfect for a couple. We enjoyed the balcony in the morning and evenings and the hot tub after long walking, hiking, and beaches. Now the bad… communication was poor. We had a problem with the air conditioning (you have to line up the sliding door and lock it perfectly to get it to work) and also had a problem checking in and had to call and call to talk to someone. We never did get anybody to call us about the ac problems. Over all, I would stay again but with the expectation that I might not talk to someone in the office while I’m there.

This condo was beyond my expectations. The beach was amazing and the views from the lanai were out of this world. We used the bbq area most evenings and to see maintenance scouring them each morning was good to see. The girls at the concierge desk we so friendly and very helpful. We will definitely return

Our condo was very comfortable for our family. Very clean. A well-stocked kitchen. Great ocean/beach view. The location of the condo allowed us to easily access other parts of the island. The pool and gathering area was extensively used by our family. This all contributed to our perfect and fun vacation! Mahalo

It was perfectly depicted in the pictures. The unit is slightly dated ..but who cares! The ocean is right at your doorstep. The beach is lovely, the unit is very clean, the lock code made it easy to access and parking was a breeze

I wanted to have a beachfront property and I was not disappointed. This location was everything; waterfront, restaurants and activities. This location is in the center of it all! The condo itself was clean and well maintained could benefit from decor upgrade but it wasn’t terrible. The manager had Lacroix waters and coffee for us in the fridge when checked in that was great! We got great massages at the business on-site and we enjoyed both the on-site pool and relaxing in hot tub as the sunset. The beach access and morning walks were a treat each day. I am planning to come back in October and looking to book here again!

We stayed here for the first half of our Maui trip. Pros - beautiful location. We loved staying in Kihei. Immediate access to beach, beautiful views from the lanai, listened to the water all day long. Condo is good sized for 2 people. Condo is in a great location, easy access to everything. We stayed in Kaanapali for the second half and much preferred being in Kihei. Cons - difficulty checking in. I hadn't received any check-in info by the designated time, tried to contact via phone, no response. My husband tried to enter the management office, but it was locked. He went to other side and they gave us the spiel on the property, but didn't have any info for us to actually get in the condo. Tried the management office again and the lady inside opened the door and let us know they were closed. She did help us though. They said they sent the info via email, but I went back and checked all my junk and deleted items and didn't find it. Resent and printed all the info for us. This management company does not communicate via the app, so be sure to stay on top of other contact methods. The other company we rented with for the second half of our stay didn't communicate through the app either, but I received a text msg, stating they'd sent the check-in info via email, but in case I couldn't access my email at that point, they sent me the door code so I could at least get my luggage and groceries in the condo. Something like this would have been helpful. Most basic amenities were provided, however, coffee filters weren't. While this doesn't seem like a big deal, we had to go to 5 different stores to actually find some. We left them, so hopefully the next few folks don't have to do that. Overall - we really enjoyed our stay here, even if our stay didn't start off so great. The condo itself is great, the view is amazing, and we loved being able to access stores, food, and all of our planned activities very easily.

We loved our stay at Sugar Beach! Amazing views and great location. Very clean and well kept. We used the grills at the resort a few times which was perfect for the nights we wanted to stay in. The only negative thing about our condo was the kitchen was lacking some utensils and pans. The knives in the kitchen were very dull. Also would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom. But all in all it was very clean and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We can't wait to come back.
