This place is incredible! Whilst we were on the bus they tracked us to pick us up at the right place, even after we missed the stop. We also had an incident of a broke phone, of which they were only too happy to drive us into town to an amazing phone shop, where he offered his phone number as a reference. From the moment we arrived we had cold coconuts which were lovely. The room is so comfy and AC is increíble. When we had issues with the water, the guy fixed it within no time. I cannot get over the hospitality we were shown here! He was our personal driver for no charge! He took us around a lake tour to see birds (which he is very talented at) and crocodiles, for no charge also, alongside the amazing bat tree, which is 5 minute away and so wonderful. They orngiased the morning safari, with a fantastic driver, who is so skilled at spotting, he didn’t get dragged into the queuing and pushing that you sometimes hear about at safaris. The place is so lovely and cute, and the lights make it so warm and comfy! He dropped us at the bus station when we left, and made sure we got the right one. Picked us up and dropped us for every dinner and everything we needed! I highlight recommend this stay for anyone looking for an easy Yala safari experience!

The near-by restaurants aren’t the best, no fault of the owners but I think that’s just Tissa, so worth it tho for safari, and location makes up for is with bar tree and lake! Also if you want their food tell them beforehand besucase we couldn’t get any with them. Good for thought :)

Der Besitzer hat uns schon im Vorfeld die Busverbindungen nach Tissa genannt. An der Bushaltestelle hat er uns dann auch kostenlos abgeholt. Am Abend hat sein Bruder mit uns eine kostenlose Rundfahrt am Tissasee gemacht und uns viele Vögel und Flughunde gezeigt. Die Tour war klasse. Abends hat seine Frau für uns gekocht und es war sehr lecker! Die Besitzer haben im Vorhinein auch eine Safaritour in den Yala-Nationalpark (man wird abgeholt und fährt ca. 25 Minuten dort hin)für uns organisiert, welche wir weiterempfehlen können.

Amazing guest house hospitality. We really enjoyed the fresh coconut on arrival and the fact that they were so helpful - even exchanged money for us as we only had USD. The rooms were large, with good aircon.

We booked one night here, so we can reach Yala Park in the morning. The host is very polite and a pleasant person overall, always with a big smile on his face. I recommend both booking the Safari with this host and ordering dinner here. The Food was delicious!!

The family that run the hotel are the kindest and most helpful people in Sri Lanka. Before arrival they had given us advice on how to get public transport to Tissa before then picking us up from the bus stop. From that point on they went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and were really easy to communicate with through WhatsApp. We also booked a Yala safari through them and the driver was very knowledgeable, often avoiding the crowd and driving extremely well. Can’t recommend this enough, it was amazing! Choose this if you are staying in Tissa!

Wir haben den hilfbereitesten und gastfreundlichsten Menschen kennengelernt in Sri Lanka. Der Gastgeber hat sich dauerhaft um uns gekümmert, kalte Getränke hin gestellt, Früchte nach der Safari gereicht. Er hat uns die Safari vermittel ( was wir übrigens nur empfehlen können über ihn zu buchen). Er hat immer wieder gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und uns Spots empfohlen, welche die Gegend so besonders machten.

Really clean room,bed and bathroom, the first find so clean here in Sri Lanka. The owners were super! They pick me up from the bus station and bring me back the day after.They offered me a welcome coconut juice and a fresh juice after the safari. Polite, kind and helpful people.

We had a really great stay at Tissa rainbow. The room was comfortable and had everything we need including hot water. When we arrived they gave us a coconut and head towel on very hot day which was really nice. We did the safari through them which was in a really good jeep with knowledgeable staff and well organised at a very good price. The owners are fantastic and very helpful people and I’d highly recommend staying here!

To be welcomed with a cool towel and a cold refreshing drink certainly set the scene for this guest house. Wonderful hosts, very responsive, friendly and helpful. The upstair room allows for complete privacy. The rooms were extremely clean and well laid out and the air conditioner worked a treat.

We were very fortunate to have picked this homestay to stay at for this journey. They were extremely helpful from the get-go. As soon as I booked I was sent a message asking if I had any questions and automatically helping us with our bus to Tissamaharama. While we were there my girlfriend and I both got sick with a stomach bug going around and the owner and his brother were extremely helpful bringing us fruit and water. All in all they were a lovely family that were helpful and kind. The room was nice with air conditioning and the bed was comfortable (we spent a lot of time in it since we were sick ahahah). Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Tissamaharama.

It’s a nice clean room, with a good bed, good working airco and hot shower! Breakfast was also good! They arranged a full day safari for us, included breakfast, lunch, snacks and water. Really good! We also got a free tour around the lake! They picked us up and dropped us off! They will help you with everything! Good stay overall!

We arrive here late night to do the safari the day after. They organized it for us and they managed to organize also some transfers. Really nice place!

The staff at the place is super helpful. the service is just outstanding. I traveled some cities during the stay in Sri Lanka but they have the best hospitality for sure. they helped us with the transportation and ideas of things to do. I certainly recommend this place to those who are looking for amazing experiences.

Great guest house with a nice room and spacious bathroom. The location is great and the owners are incredible. Not only did they offer to pick me up from the bus station but also made sure to help me organize a safari and to pick nice restaurants to eat at. If you want to visit Yala National Park do yourself a favor and stay there!!!!

The staff is really nice and always available for any needs. They organised for us the safari with breakfast and water for a really competitive price. They also drove us from the bus to their house and from the house to the bus which we appreciated a lot. They really want for you to make the most of your visit (welcoming and good-bye refreshments, cold towel to freshen up when you arrive, good tips on where to eat and what to see). The room is confortable enough for us and quite spacious and the shower had good pressure hot water.

Our Room was nice big and clean and the house looks very nice with a lot of plants. The Owner and his Brother are very kind and we got juices and coconuts for our arrival. The breakfast was very delicious with lots of fruits. We even got dropped at the bus station at the end of our stay. It is located near a lake, where you can watch bats fly away in the evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

I had a lovely stay here! The family running it was great and communication was nice and with fast response! When I needed to run some errands in the town they even brought me there which saved me a lot of hassle. The wifi was good and I also went on a fun safari with them to Yala! Also the breakfast was really great every morning!

This place is amazing, surrounded by beautiful plants! We were given a super warm welcome, with cold towels and king coconut. The rooms are very clean. The owner even brought us with his tuk tuk to a restaurant for having dinner. Best Singalese breakfast ever!!
