We love Twin Lakes, having a long family history there, and I wanted to introduce the area to my sons. We were not disappointed here. This lovely house had all we needed for the perfect getaway. It was nearby both lakes and near town. Would suggest for a family getaway.

Pros: Updated bathrooms and kitchen appliances - Had everything we needed to cook! (pans, olive oil, seasonings, aluminum foil, ziploc bags, etc). Great space for everyone sleeping, super easy check in with the keypad. Had 1 board game and lots of movies on the tv (:
Cons: Bring or buy your own fire starter to use the bonfire, there were 2 extra blankets but would have been nice to have some more for the couch! About a 25 minute walk to the beach (lance park) which was preeeetty small (google photos before you go!). You’re paying extra for a “lake home” but it’s not on the water and the local beach wasn’t all that.

Let me start with the positives. The house is updated inside and very cute. The AC works great and the basics were included. The drive to restaurants and stores were close, thank goodnessNow for the disappointments: The location was not within walking distance of the lake at all. I'm still confused where we would have swam in this lake. We actually drove to Lake Geneva to swim. The walls were super thin. We could hear traffic all night and our teens would stay up later than us and I could hear everything they were saying with the doors closed. We were playing games on the TV and I had to keep m telling them to be quieter bc I was afraid the neighbors could hear us. We had to play TV games bc the house only had 1 game (escape the room), no dice/playing cards. You will need to go to the store for condiments and seasonings as the ones provided seem to be leftovers from previous guests. I also emailed the host the night we got there with pics of things I saw wrong so I wouldn't get charged and never heard back.

This property exceeded my expectations, even after all of the good reviews. It was exceptionally clean and even had some amenities that I wasn’t expecting. There was no need to communicate with the seller, as no issues arose during my stay, but contact information was listed in several places if the need arose. My children commended me on my lodging choice (we’ve stayed at some iffy places in the past), and we all agreed that we would stay there again if we ever returned to Lake Geneva.

Our family, including two teenagers stayed for almost a week. The house was clean and well organized. It was big enough for us to have our own spaces, but cozy enough to promote family time. Only recommendation would be to bring extra blankets if you tend to be cold because there aren't any in the house and the bedspreads are thin.

Stayed here for a long winter weekend to be closer to Wilmot mountain. It was an easy 10 min drive away and near a few local places to get food. The location was convenient and the space was clean and modern. Some of the furniture could use a little tightening, but otherwise very good. The place gets a good amount of light and having 2 full baths was nice. We would stay here again if looking to be near Wilmot mountain.

We had a great time in this comfy and organized home. We went for a quick reset to Lake Geneva and this was the perfect drive (20 mins) from the downtown area. The welcome book was full of useful hints and tips about the area, and the home had everything we need! Thanks, we will be back!

Great spot for a quick getaway
We were planning a quick Lake Geneva getaway but didn’t act quick enough. This property was available just 15 minutes away and was perfect for our family.
A grocery store is close by and Lake Elizabeth & Mary could also be accessed quickly.
My guess, if you had a boat to bring- this would be a great spot to access all the lakes had to offer.

Nice little retreat
Overall a very nice experience. Rooms were spacious and had a very welcoming atmosphere. Master bedroom had a ceiling fan light that didn't want to turn on most of the time but I got it to work eventually. Master bathroom door was really hard to close the reopen due to foundation shifting issues but otherwise, very pleasant stay.

Great house close to Wilmot Mountain
House was well maintained, clean and just the right size for our family of 5. It is less than a 10 minute drive to Wilmot mountain and just under a mile to the cute little town of Twin Lakes. Kitchen had all the normal pots/pans/bowls/etc. and even a few spices and some oil for cooking.

Great little house close to Wilmot. Was clean and comfortable. Kids loved the bunk beds. Rooms were small but house felt more spacious than the size would indicate. Could be a bit better equipped with kitchen supplies. Had the basics but limited cooking supplies. We would stay again.

Relaxing Getaway
Comfortable and quiet place to spend a week with the family. Everything you need is close by like a grocery store, convenience stores, bars, restaurants, etc. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes , cutlery, and cooking implements. The only item I would’ve liked was a few dish towels to dry hands and dishes. The bedrooms are comfortable and quiet but would’ve liked a blanket or two in addition to the light comforters available on each bed. Don’t take these as complaints, they’re just suggestions. Others may not miss these items. Overall, we would definitely come back.

FANTASTIC GETAWAY
Our family of 4 rented this place for a few days over my husbands birthday and it was just what we needed. The place was fantastic. Super clean, well stocked with all your needs, and close to the really beautiful and quiet Twin Lakes. We loved it. The only thing that we thought the house could use was some exterior light by the outdoor grilling area...it has a nice outdoor patio but doesn’t have any light to hang out outside. But there is a fire pit which we were able to enjoy which was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quick getaway from Chicago! Thank you!

Perfection
Can’t say enough about how great this place was. SUPER clean, kitchen was like brand new and had all the essentials, location was perfect for our winter weekend at Wilmot, and everything was so cozy and comfy. We will definitely stay again.
