This was a wonderful stay! The breakfast the hosts left for us was so thoughtful, and we really appreciated it. Everything was super clean and the bed was so comfy! Would 100% stay here again :)

In a beautiful neighborhood just outside the national park with a well stocked food supply

It was a very comfortable room in a perfect location very close to Volcanos national park. Although I had expected a more traditional bed and breakfast (not self-serve in the room), we were thrilled with the variety of choices for breakfast and snacks that were left for us the first day. The hosts seemed like nice people.

It was odd how every day the breakfasts seemed a bit diminished. We never got a replacement for the bread for example although we were there for 3 days. We needed the protein and although we had hard-boiled eggs for 2 days, they were not replaced the 3rd day, nor was the peanut butter I had been eating. It probably would have been better if they had started with less and added rather than the reverse. We prefer more interaction with hosts.

Sehr nettes kleine Haus mit 2 Wohnungen. Die Vermieter sind vor Ort (er ist Ranger) und sehr freundlich. Die Wohnungen sind super liebevoll eingerichtet und laden sofort zum Wohlfüllen ein. Der Kühlschrank ist gefüllt, so dass man sich sein Frühstück selber machen kann. Es ist wirklich alles vorhanden. Jede Wohnung hatte ein kleine Terrasse mit Feuerstelle (Gas) und bequemen Sitzen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und haben uns ein bisschen geärgert dass wir nur so kurz (2 Nächte) da waren. Das dann auch noch der Vulkan ausgebrochen ist war natürlich der absolute Wahnsinn. Wir sind schon zum 8 mal auf Big Island und im Volcano Park. Eine so schöne und so saubere Unterkunft hatten wir noch nie davor. Die Besitzerin hat jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Das große Zimmer ist perfekt eingerichtet. Die Beschreibung trifft genau zu es ist sogar noch schöner. Wir haben sogar um 1 Nacht verlängert weil es so schön war. Mahalo!!!

The room had every feature imaginable. Such care was taken to make the stay comfortable. The room was absolutely spotless with a large comfy bed and lots of pillows to choose from. The range of foods left was magnificent with many choices for breakfast from pastries to eggs, cereal yoghurt etc. We were very happily surprised!

There was not a single detail overlooked by our hosts. It was like they really thought about all that they would want or need in a B&B if they were the guests and then they set up their property just so, to exceed it! Perfect!

Everything was included and of excellent quality and clean and neat. Very well designed layout. There was NOTHING we didn't like. Loved it all!

Location was perfect for spending time within Volcano National Park. I appreciated that it was very close to the entrance, but not within the park. Hosts greeted us when we arrived and were very welcoming and warm. Studio was as described and actually better than I had thought. Accommodation was attractively decorated and modern. Breakfast items and snack choices were excellent and abundant. The studio was very quiet and felt private for being attached to the host's home.

I did not have any negative feelings regarding my stay at Kailua House

The location was perfect for visiting Punalu'u black sand beach and Kilauea Volcano and the National Park. It was about 2-3 miles from the park entrance, and about 30 miles from Hilo. It is in a residential neighborhood at a personal home. There are 2 rooms, each having their own private outside entrances. The room was nicely furnished with a comfortable king size bed, closet, bathroom w/tub shower, and a kitchenette with sink, small fridge, microwave and table with 2 chairs. Breakfast was already in the room for the next morning. The fridge had milk and cream for coffee and cereal, juice and breakfast sandwiches. Near the microwave was oatmeal, cereal and fresh fruit. Muffins and sweet rolls were on the table. Outside was a small patio with a small fire pit overlooking a beautiful, quiet backyard where you could view the stars.

Nothing. Google GPS said we had reached our location before we actually had. Look for the actual address. No street lights on the streets at night so I'm glad we found it before the sun went down.

Met at door by Host. Very clean, comfortable and cute room. Breakfast was very nice. Provided in room were -Danish and donuts, juice, Kona coffee, fruit, oatmeal, egg bites, yogurt, granola, tea, hot chocolate, cookies and popcorn. There was a microwave and small fridge too. Mints on the nightstand. Hosts attention to details are superb.

Perfect location to the Volcano. Loved the room and all the amenities included! Host went above and beyond expectations of continental breakfast! Originally booked 4 nights, but added 2 more nights! Will definitely stay here again!

strong plug-in deodorizer in room when we arrived. I am sensitive to synthetic fragrances so had to air out room. this host is so tidy and room was meticulous, do t think the additional deodorizer was necessary…
