Good location
It was dirty, definitely needs painting, mould in bathroom, tea cups were unwashed definitely won’t be returning

very small , not that clean as we had sand all over the room. shower was broken and had to play around to get temperature correct. shower door didn’t close

The breakfast provided in The Strand was very good.
We had stayed in The Strand a number of years ago and loved it. The Strand Townhouse was disappointing in comparison and the pictures provided in the listing are more complimentary than the reality. It was clean but the facility and furnishings are a little tired and dated, and we had a hard time figuring out the electric shower. The wifi is not picked up in all of the rooms on the second floor where we stayed. The walk to and from the Strand for breakfast is down and then up a fairly steep hill which would be a challenge for people with mobility issues.

Booked to stay at the “hotel”, but told on arrival we were staying at the townhouse; a two minute walk up the hill, and back down for breakfast. Receptionist seemed to have got out of the wrong side of a bed that must have been smaller than the double we were given. Only exit from the upper floors seemed to be down the main stairs; complete fire trap. Breakfast OK, but food generally overpriced and low quality. Have since had meals for two in other idyllic places in Ireland for €25-30 less. Gave the impression that because they are in a great location, they could charge and serve whatever they liked.

looked onto the back yard of

there was noise from a cooler
