Our family had a wonderful time at Dunecliff East. The house was well suited four our vacation with 5 adults and 2 small children. Scott and Christy were fantastic hosts and responded very quickly to two (very) minor issues that occurred during our stay. If you're looking for an oceanfront home for a family getaway, you don't need to look any further.

My family and I could not have been happier with our stay at Emerald Isle. This house was perfect. Exactly as advertised. Lots of amenities and right on the beach. The host contacted us several times prior to our trip. And gave us several great recommendations. I highly recommend staying at this property. I would definitely book again. The location is perfect.

We had nine in our group, including four 70+ year olds, three 30/40 year olds and two younger folks, 14 and 19. It was the perfect place for our group, plenty of bedrooms and baths, well stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies and paper products, lots of beach chairs and sand toys, propane grill -- we couldn't have asked for more. The hosts communicated frequently and were most cooperative and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at Scott & Christy's home - it had everything we needed and the home was in great shape. The views were stunning and the location was super close to everything. It was also nice that they had a lot of kitchen utensils, comfy beds & TVs in every room!

What an amazing house! Wonderful views and easy access to the waterfront. There are so many thoughtful extra touches here: beach chairs, electric shade cover for the deck, charging outlets with easy access, and the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen. What a treasure.
After a tough year for our family, we were looking for a place to relax, unwind and break away from the chaos of the day to day. When I say Dunecliff East delivered that and more, it is not an exaggeration. It is exactly as pictured, and more!
You simply cannot beat the location - not only for proximity to the beach and the incredible view 24 hours a day, it is also conveniently close to everything you need including groceries etc.
It is easy to spend the entire day on the beach, or take short trips down to the water to entertain little ones (having 4 kids; 3 of which are 4 and under, this is essential) and spend time under the awning overlooking the water for a small break from the sand and sun. We probably spent more time on the deck than inside!
The home was clean, inviting and the hosts were very communicative, flexible and sent fabulous suggestions for food and local places to check out. They left a very kind note and welcome bag as well.
The kitchen was well stocked and it was SO helpful to have tons of beach toys for the kids provided and not have to bring those with us.
Even the internet connection was good, which in our experience at beaches is somewhat rare. Unfortunately, a few of us had to work while we were away and having that was very helpful.
We had an incredible time and hope to come back in the future!

The house was well equipped with everything we needed… stocked kitchen, beach chairs, boogie boards etc. Christy communicated throughout the process to make sure our stay was great. We have found our new favorite beach house! They have thought of everything and the added extras and well supplied kitchen made our stay one of the best. Beds were all comfy and bed linens were not scratchy. Some of the bath towels were a little worn but there were plenty of fluffy ones mixed in. Supplying beach chairs was a special treat. We will bring some grilling tools next time and leave the chairs at home. How wonderful to have the coveted beach tent tag too. Hoping to be in the same house next year for our annual trip to one of our favorite places!

Best beach house we’ve ever rented! Kitchen was well stocked and beds were comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches, like being welcomed by wine, chocolate, and toilet paper. Location, location, location!!! This oceanfront house has great views from several rooms. We saw dolphins and beautiful sunrises and then spectacular waves when the weather changed. A Sweet Return
2022 is our second summer in a row to rent Dunecliff East for our annual family reunion on Emerald Isle. It was great to return to a familiar property that we knew well and enjoyed and were very surprised in a good way to see that they had just done a major renovation on the outside deck - enlarged it and added an awning and new steps to the beach. We were blessed with great weather the whole week and Dunecliff East because of the outside deck space and picnic table and large dining room table inside as well became our gathering place for family dinners each night. For inside or outside cooking/grilling/serving it is equipped with everything you will need. The layout of the house is wonderful with tasteful nautical decor throughout and the bedrooms/bathrooms are perfect sizes for different family needs. Beds are all super comfy. Our family loves games and the huge dining room table became card game central every night. Christy and Scott are great hosts and very responsive to any need or concern. Thank you both for another memorable and fun beach vacation at your home on Emerald Isle.

An ideal child friendly family holiday home.
We had the most perfect week staying at Christy and Scott’s home. We were staying with two small children and it was ideal to be right in the ocean with a large deck that was completely child friendly. The house is so well equipped in every way it was perfect for us relax and have a very special week. Christy was always straight back to us with any concerns or questions, all much appreciated.

Annual get away
A group of college friends from many years ago have met at this beach house for 10+ years and we love it. The five bedrooms allow plenty of space for each of us. And the beach is awesome. The owners could not be any more accommodating. Love it!!

Perfect beachfront
This was the perfect beachfront for a family gathering that included young children. The top floor has tons of beds which is great for kids or young family to stay together. Every room has an amazing deck for privacy when needed. We loved our stay and the hosts were very nice and communicated quickly (even when one of our kids locked the pantry on us). Definitely stay here!
