Place had everything we needed. Would stay here again.

We wanted a home centrally located to the areas we would be visiting and this location was perfect. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for the stay. We wish we could have enjoyed the beautiful yard and pond more, but we had a very busy schedule of activities and sights and were limited on time.

Beautiful home with amazing lake view. It far exceeded our expectations. We will be returning.

Very attractive property and setting. Good for two adults and up to 4 children. Sleeping is suboptimal for more than two adults. Difficult to find if arriving after dark.

My husband and I traveled to Maine from Ohio. Since this was our first trip to the state of Maine, we wanted to see a bit of everything. We stayed at this wonderful cabin only three nights (wish we could have stayed longer!). The location was great - allowing us to be at Acadia National Park in less than an hour, yet distant enough from the crowds to feel secluded. The cabin is located on a beautiful pond, and the host provides the use of canoes, kayaks, and SUPs. The cabin is sparkling clean, and the host even left us a welcome gift of freshly-picked apples. We had a wonderful stay!

This is our second year in row. We can’t think of a better place to stay when we are in the area. This has an amazing location within short driving distance to so many things to do, , great amenities, whether you like to relax with amazing waterfront views or just do some great outdoor activities all just a few steps from the front door. We are looking forward to our 3rd stay in the near future.

My wife and spent a week at Rupert and Christine’s place. The property and location were great. Easy to get to MDI, and we explored Blue Hill and Deer Isle right below. Great hiking in Acadia, the numerous preserves in Blue Hill / Deer Isle and Great Pond Mountain (an easy hike close by with great views. The house was clean, comfortable with everything you need to enjoy the property and Heart Pond. Rupert was very responsive and a nice guy. Heart Pond itself is clean, clear and cold. Saw four loons and a bald eagle. Traffic on Route 1 was heavy on Saturday but tapered off during the week and was not a big deal. Would stay here again.

This is a lovely house on a clear and beautiful lake. The house is spotless and well appointed with everything you will need for a great vacation. Rupert was over within minutes to deliver a lobster pot and responsive to any questions we had. Highly recommend as long as you know you will hear road noise when you are outside.

This is our second stay at this cottage and we recommend it highly. Cottage is beautiful and well equipped for fun at the lake for all ages. Owners are great to deal with and live nearby if you need anything.

It was like this cottage was designed for us! Other than the traffic noise from the nearby road, this place exudes tranquility & convenience. Rupert was extremely friendly, helpful, and quick to reply. The cottage was well stocked with just about everything a family could need. We had a wife variety of weather during our week long stay, but the pond continued to be stunning & the cottage remained comfortable no matter the conditions outside! We will definitely return if life allows it!

I'd love to stay when the weather was warmer...maybe next summer.

This cottage is perfect! Spotless, cozy, with a gorgeous view. The attention to detail was impressive - this place has everything you need for a relaxing getaway. I hope we can return one day. We visited Acadia NP everyday and the drive was about 40 minutes and easy. This whole area is so peaceful and beautiful.

Very nice place, hard to find at night

This property is stunningly beautiful. The house is clean, well decorated and very well cared for. The deck looking over Heart Pond is amazing and comfortable. Couldn't ask for better.

Location is absolutely amazing. Home is very clean and has a very comfy feel. Lake views from the home are spectacular. Conveniently located near to many local attractions Kids loved the home and didn’t wan to go anywhere else. They were able to kayak , fish and other activities. There is a lot of attention to detail in the many amenities and comforts included in the home, that exceeded expectations, this made the stay a truly memorable vacation. We can’t think of any other place to stay once we return to the area for vacation.

Beautiful spot! Only complaint was that it was a little bit close to a major road. Would definitely go back!

Lovely property with all the amenities you need and then some for a summer vacation on a lake. Hosts were great and very responsive.

This property has everything you need for a great family getaway. The water on the pond is crystal clear, well maintained at the shore, and quite deep for jumping off the dock. Our family enjoyed the canoes and kayak each day, fished a bit from the pier, swam every day and also enjoyed exploring the local towns and Acadia. The owners have thought of absolutely everything a family could need from newspaper to light the fire pit for s'mores, to cooking pots and pans, to extra beach towels. The washer and dryer came in handy, and the central AC was delightful on humid days. Our teenagers fit quite comfortably in the bunkbeds. The only minor drawback was how close the house is to a fairly busy 50mph road. You can't hear any traffic noise inside the house with AC running, but you can when you're sitting on the patio. Not an issue at all for our family, but maybe an issue if you have toddlers. We loved our week at Heart Pond and would like to come back again one day!

The property was beautiful and impeccably maintained. Upon entry we felt like we were in a model home. Outdoor furniture was in equally excellent condition. We had our morning coffee outdoors enjoying the beautiful view. There was a wide selection of equipment to use on the lake and our children enjoyed swimming off the dock. Christine thought of every detail, leaving us everything we needed to make s’mores by the fire pit and lots of little things that made our stay comfortable. The advantage of the location contributed to the only drawback of the property, the sound of the cars on Rt 1. It was a fine trade off given the advantage of being located so close to the shops and restaurants of Ellsworth, many costal towns, and Acadia.

This property is centrally located between many of the attractions in the area. Bangor, Bar Harbor, Acadia, Camden, etc are all a short drive from the cabin. Cabin was clean, beds were comfortable, and had everything we needed. Thanks.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and clean. Heart Pond is gorgeous and very peaceful. We really enjoy just sitting outside watching the loons and an occasional eagle fly overhead.

Great getaway location with amazing view. Home was just as described. Loved how convenient it was to get to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Kayaks and canoes available were great for keeping my kids busy during our stay. Only drawback was the noise of the cars passing by on the hwy, but this was more so during the day.

We really enjoyed this property - it is beautifully set up with a great fire pit and access to the water. It was also centrally located and easy to get to many cute towns as well as Acadia. The house is nicely decorated and perfect size for our family of 5. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This property had every accommodation one could hope for, and then some. We loved the amenities as well as the proximity to driving points like Stonington and Bar Harbor. Being on the pond and taking advantage of the kayak and canoe was wonderful. Our one small issue was that the back bedroom with the bunks was a bit noisy being on the main road. However after one night our kids seemed to get used to the sound of the traffic. However all the amenities and the spacious and thoughtful details made up for the bit of noise encountered.

There was kayaks and canoes. They also had patio chairs over looking 88acres pond the water was crystal clear.
