Tony and his lovely wife were such kind hosts. They made us feel very welcome and Tony loved sharing his knowledge about the island and things to do with us. We are sad that we missed out on a stargazing session, would have been very interesting. Maybe next time.

Tony's home was the perfect retreat to come back to after full days of exploring the island. The space was well stocked with everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach towels and sunblock. Tony was a warm, friendly, and wonderful host.

We had an amazing week-long stay at this great spot! It was five minutes from Hanalei Bay and an easy drive back to Lihue for the airport. The Princeville area has everything you could want. Short walk down to a public beach from the condo but basically private as we were down there in the mornings by ourselves to take in the calm ocean view. Our host, Tony, and his wife live downstairs and we're so welcoming and accommodating while we were there. They even helped us celebrate my wife's birthday which ended up being his also! Just lovely people. This was a perfect spot for us to come home to after days of hiking, surfing, snorkeling and many other activities. Two minutes from the shops, store and restaurants at Princeville. Will stay there again!!

My husband and I vacationed in Kauai for the 3rd time in 6 years. We got married in Poipu in 2018 and fell in love with the island. This trip was our 2nd time staying on the North shore and it did not disappoint.
Hoku Lani was perfect for us. The location and property were wonderful. There are so many beaches within a short drive of the property. There is a beautiful golf course within walking distance. There is also shopping with a grocery store, post office and restaurants within a mile. We walked there a couple times during our stay.
We highly recommend Hideaway Pizza, Happy Talk lounge at Hanaoei Bay Resort and 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. The Sugarcane Blaze cocktai at 1 Hotel Hanalei is a Must try. If you love Mexican food, try Pacos Tacos in Kapaa…muy delicioso. I had the chicken taco salad and my husband had the carnitas burrito. Both were excellent!
There are so many places I could recommend but I’d run out of room to write :)
The hosts, Tony and Judith were very hospitable and friendly. The condo provided all the amenities to enjoy while at the beach or pool. The pool is very close and water temperature perfect.
We spent every morning relaxing on the balcony while drinking our coffee. Overall, Great condo, location and entire stay. Aloha

Gale, my wife and I stayed at Tony and Judith Gaspar’s vacation's rental May 2-13, 2024. Without a doubt the hosts of this rental made our visit to the island the most memorable of our stay. We have been to Kaua’i numerous times, the first on our Honeymoon, November 1972. We’ve stayed in hotels, condos, and houses. It was the personality, attitude and graciousness of Tony and Judith that made us welcome and part of their Ohana. Tony and Judith invited us to their tiny apartment and prepared a scrumptious Hungarian dinner. After the dinner, master guitarist, Tony played rock and roll songs which we joyously sang together. Tony can play any genre of music as shown by his massive collection. The clincher was Gale and I rented EV without knowledge of how many miles it would convey us and how far it would travel on 15% power?! We made it back to Kilauea, found a charging station and hooked up the vehicle with Tony’s help with Judith and Gale patiently waiting. The next morning our host’s delivered us back to the EV charged up and raring to go! I jumped over from Kona, but wanted to extend my trip a few more days. The host was very pleasant extremely gracious in all his offerings! I was not there much, I was out enjoying Kaua’i as much as possible. But the place was excellent for my trip, I did not cook but they have a wonderful place to do so, and a cozy comfortable place to chill as well. The bed & pillows were like a soft cloud, perfect for me. They have a place to spray your feet before entering, which was nice & everything you truly would need. I didn’t go to the pool, but it did look like a great place to hang out as well. Never seen lots of people there, only a few. The parking was never an issue for me, I always found a spot to park. I would definitely recommend this place, excellent decor and a lovely vibe to end my trip!!!

The kitchen was stocked with more than the essentials...the porch was full of all the equipment for the beach...cooler...towels...totes...chairs...snorkel gear...lotion and more! Thank you for sharing your comfortable condo...the owners were kind and welcoming...the unit was clean....location is convenient...neighborhood was pleasant...all good....we enjoyed our time for sure!

We met our hosts upon arrival to the rental, they were inviting and absolutely wonderful! The property is exactly as advertised and is stocked with essentials and other little touches that put this host/property above and beyond others! The condo is very clean and comfortable, after long days of exploring the island, it was nice to come back to a place that felt like home. I highly recommend this location and specifically this rental to anyone who is looking for a place to stay. If the stars align, we will definitely be rebooking in the future!

The drive to our accommodations was easy and absolutely beautiful. While the condo area was well laid out, it was a little confusing in the dark, but there is a lighted map of the area by the mailboxes, so that was very helpful. Our hosts heard us outside and met us at the door, and we’re just delightful.
Once we were in our rental, it was very clean, exactly like the photos and just lovely. Everything we expected and more. You can’t really go very far without a beach or an area of interest for a good photo op.
Being on the northeast side, rain was plentiful but blew over quick during the day, and in the morning you can see amazing waterfalls on the way to Hanalai.
It was our 25th wedding anniversary and our hosts gave us a very memorable time. It was our 3rd island, but it just might be our favorite!

We really enjoyed our time here! The owner and his wife are incredibly hospitable and thoughtful. The condo is well equipped with everything you need! We bought groceries at Safeway and made use of the BBQ by the pool. No one else was using it when we were there late January, early February. The decor is beautiful and the bed is comfortable. Condo was as advertised, very clean, comfortable, quiet, and its location was perfect. All the kitchen appliances and utensils were available if you want to prepare meals. There is a large big screen tv in the living room if one has any down time. The added bonus of this condo is Tony the manager, we were unable to stargaze as there were cloudy skies every night. The last night there Tony played guitar and sang songs and shared his history with me, I will never forget this experience the rest of my life.

Wow, this place is awesome! It is clean, roomy, well located, well cared for and just a jewel. That would be plenty to rate 5 star but then they kicked it up many notches. The owners who live downstairs are spectacular people. They are kind and caring and they are there to serve. You won’t go wrong renting this unit!!!

We stayed in 4 different places on 3 islands over 16 nights. Although we only stayed 3 nights here, we could have spent our entire time here. The area and Tony’s place were perfect. The condo was perfect; exceptionally clean, well maintained, and all things you might need were provided. The pictures do not do it justice. Tony was a fabulous host; very friendly, hospitable, and ready to provide suggestions and guidance on things to see and do around the area. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Kauai, we will DEFINITELY stay at Tony’s. (We hope this review doesn’t cause his condo to be too busy for our next stay.)

Located in the Mauna Kai community in Princeville, this is a great place to stay if you're looking to mainly relax in north Kauai. We stayed here in mid October and it was very comfortable keeping the windows open and using the ceiling fans available throughout the unit. For those that tend to run hot, a window AC unit is available for the bedroom, but we didn't need it. Keep in mind that hearing the nature noises such as rainfall or roosters is part of the charm of keeping the windows open in a place like this. Since it is thriving condo community, there can be some noise from surrounding neighbors, but we weren't bothered by it. The main living area is very spacious and nicely updated. The hosts, Tony and Judith, live right downstairs and are absolutely wonderful. They even gave us a vase of flowers and a card for our honeymoon. Even though property management is involved in the booking process, Tony made everything feel like it was a traditional b&b during our stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

This condo is exactly as the pictures show it to be. It was perfect for our brief stay in Princeville. The host lives below the unit and we were fortunate enough to meet him and his lovely wife. I would recommend this rental to anyone who is looking for a stay in or near Princeville and would definitely stay here again!

We had a very relaxing stay at this condo. The owner, Tony, who lives below this unit, met us at the entry and even helped with the luggage! Mauna kai was quiet overall,( there are chickens everywhere in Kauai, so every place I've stayed over the past twelve years you can hear them at one time or another). But they were not bothersome. The pool is large, heated, and well maintained; and/ we had no problems with parking. The condos are well situated in Princeville, actually walking distance to the local Foodland and shops. If you love the north shore, you'll love Mauna Kai's location for its proximity to the beaches at this end of the island.
We were there nine days: the condo is well stocked with beach gear, a well-stocked kitchen and bath, informational pamphlets and books about Kauai, and even some recreational reading material. Tony also provided a welcome basket full of snacks and was a friendly and knowledgeable neighbor who we came to consider a friend. Thanks Tony and Judith!

We stayed for 6 nights at this amazing condo in Princeville. It was well stocked, very clean and the location is key - a quick drive to everything on the North Shore. It really felt like a home away from home. Tony was very friendly and even lent us an extra backpack for one of our hikes. Highly recommend this property and definitely will be back!

This place is lovely. The area location is ideal, too - just a quick drive to Hanalei. the apartment was beautiful and clean - we especially loved the high ceilings. It was not cookie cutter and felt so homey!

First off, let me say that by staying at this property you will meet one of the kindest and thoughtful human beings (Tony). We were also able to meet his lovely bride! The place is fantastic and the pictures don’t even do it justice. It’s immaculate and everything we needed or could anticipate needing was part of the rental. PLUS - we booked this trip to celebrate our 5-year anniversary and arrived to a lovely bouquet, gift basket, champagne and a thoughtful card. I can’t say enough great things about our time there, the proximity to beaches, Hanalei and the incredible people we met.
I had been initially hesitant because we do like to use a king bed but the Queen was perfect, comfortable and worked great for us.
We cannot wait to go back and will DEFINITELY use this property again!

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at this property. It was spacious, well appointed, spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. Everything was first class! But the best feature was Tony. He was always there for us and helped us however he could. If you decide to stay here, please take the time to get to know him a bit. You will be better for it.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. Tony is an excellent host. The lodging was immaculate and Tony was very attentive to our needs and comfort. As has been mentioned by others, he is an accomplished amateur astronomer who will be very happy to share the gorgeous Hawaiian night sky with you.
