Beautiful place, walking distance to everything..you cant go wrong with a Diamond property!

The location is great, only 1 - 2 blocks up to the shops and main street. The unit is newly remodeled and has a nice patio, fenced yard, and hot tub. All furnishings are new., with a nice gas fireplace inside and a well-appointed kitchen. There is some noise from the upper unit but mostly footsteps. Overall, very comfortable, and in a great location.

Beautiful accomodations with all the extra thoughtful touches. Loved the courtyard area that gives you a private outdoor space, and the hot tub is a nice bonus! Just has everything to make a getaway a wonderful experience! We have stayed in four Diamond properties and you just cant go wrong with any of them!

Loved! Loved! Loved! The place! Great location, completely updated, fenced yard for my small dog (people staying above me shared the fenced area) and fully supplied. My only complaint is the noice from the tenants upstairs. They woke me up a couple times overnight (bathroom use, walking about, shutting doors, 2 and 3am etc) and couldn’t get back to sleep. I don’t know that I would rent this again if I know people are upstairs. Otherwise - it checked all the boxes.

We loved the property. It was spotless and had everything we needed. We brought our dog and it was great having a gated patio and fenced in yard. In the middle of town so you never need to worry about parking.

This was the perfect place to stay in Blowing Rock! It is an easy stroll to Main Street and all the wonderful restaurants. The place is wonderfully appointed and has everything you need. There was a bit of morning footstep noise from the upstairs tenants, but otherwise, our stay was flawless. We highly recommend it :-).

Two Steps Down is a perfect property for a mountain getaway for 2 people. There’s adequate space for 2 adults. The space is nicely upfitted and very clean. The hot tub is an added bonus and is very private in location. Since the unit is below another unit, some noice is audible from upstairs occupants (you can hear footsteps) but we’ve not found it to be a huge issue and it has never impeded sleep.

This was a perfect spot to work and play. Everything we needed was provided by our host. Enjoyed the immediate surroundings and the opportunities to bike and hike minutes from our location. Loved the hot tub as well.

Super convenient, cute and cozy place!

Cozy cabin feel with with great decor and a peaceful fenced yard, fire pit and hot tub. All in (very short) walking distance to EVERYTHING while still being quiet and private. And it’s dog friendly!! We will plan to stay here every time we can!

Stayed with my husband for my birthday. This property is great. Just step out your door and you can walk to shops and restaurants which was so nice! We appreciated the dog friendly touches such as pet bowls, towels and fenced yard. The décor was spot on! I help design spaces where I live and would have given this a top star rating! Great job Karen!!! Loved the heated toilet seat, Yes you heard that right ladies!!!!! This unit was perfect for two people. Will consider renting the 3 BR unit above (also owned by same person) if we bring others along next trip.

I used to live in the area and long to again some day…Two Steps Down is always an incredible get away. The property is well appointed and meticulously maintained (inside and out). Karen is a great host and the location cannot be beat! I look forward to a return visit. Thank you!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Perfect place to stay for a long Valentine’s weekend getaway for me and my wife and our fur baby, Sky. Within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and 2 Steps Down was amazing! A fenced yard for the pup to explore a little was nice. Your own hot tub is a bonus and we enjoyed a few glasses of wine by the fire pit in the evenings. Karen was an amazing host and super responsive for any questions we had. Looking forward to our next trip to Blowing Rock and will definitely be staying at one of Karen’s places as they are all top notch!

Charming unit with an amazing location. Perfect central location to all of Blowing Rock. The bed is one of the most comfortable in a rental we’ve ever experienced. The hot tub was perfect to warm up after a chilly day. Fire pit was wonderful and met some neighbors and their pup. Would absolutely stay here again.

Karen does a beautiful job with her properties. They are well appointed and she is meticulous with cleanliness. I highly recommend any of her properties for visits to Blowing Rock.

Close to downtown Close to app ski mountain. Fire pit and hot tub enjoyable and relaxing Could benefit from a sleeper sofa as a second bed.

We had a great stay in Blowing Rock at Two Steps Down. The unit is immaculately clean, with great decor, comfortable furnishings, and one of the most well equiped rentals I have ever seen. Everything was there for us to cook when we wanted to and great restaurants and shops are just outside the door. It included a parking spot and we never got back in the car until time to go home. Will definitely go back there again!

Lovely property and an awesome location!

This property was exceptional in every way. Check-in ,location,decor, amenities. Everything was top notch for comfort and I am extremely particular about cleanliness and this property was well above 5 star.Especially in light of the situation with Covid , you could tell the owner paid special attention to details. We visit Blowing Rock frequently and this was the first stay here and hope to make it our go to place.

Two Steps Down was an awesome place for my husband and I to stay for the weekend. Great location, close to everything! The 1 bedroom was perfect for us. Plenty of room, clean, comfortable, and it had everything you needed. The fenced patio and yard were perfect for our dog also. The price was a bit steep for a weekend but it exceeded our expectations! Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely fall weekend at Two Steps Down. It’s comfortable, clean, and cozy and right in the heart of downtown Blowing Rock!

I was fortunate to find Two Steps Down to be available a few days before the holiday weekend. My husband, doggie, and I had a perfect holiday weekend. The space is new, beautifully decorated, comfortable and efficient. The downstairs unit shares fire pit space with the unit upstairs and part of our enjoyment was nighttime fire pit time with our neighbors, as well as the neighbors behind us in Sticks and Stones (separate units) who loved playing with our dog. Parking is at a premium in Blowing Rock and we never moved our car. Got take-out from across the street one evening, enjoyed several tasty restaurants and great shopping. Super-friendly and helpful community. Can’t wait for a return trip!

I’m a repeat guest at this property. Love it. Property is great and location cannot be beat. Was not able to take advantage of the amenities (Patio / Fire Pit, etc); however, still enjoyed and was very comfortable. Karen is very responsive and offers and incredible stay!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this property! Could not have asked for more. Brand new, spotless and well appointed. Great outdoor fenced patio and yard - perfect for the puppy.
