FIRST VISIT TO MACON. THE LOCATION WAS CENTRAL TO ALL OUR EVENTS/ACTIVITIES. PROPERTY WAS AS ADVERTIZED AND HOST WAS AWESOME! WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN IF EVER BACK THIS WAY.

We were attending a convention at the Centreplex and were glad it was so close by. It was very quiet and seemed like a safe area. We enjoyed going downtown (just a few blocks down the road)for dinner and entertainment.

Amazing location in downtown Macon. The home was perfect! Extremely clean and decorated with beautiful history and decor. Wish I could have spent more time enjoying everything but on tennis courts most of the time. Owner was very helpful. Highly recommend!!!!!!

This place was perfect for us. Everything we wanted to do was easy walking distance. William, the owner, is awesome. The house very comfortable and well appointed. When I come back to Macon, this will be the first place I check for availability.

Had a quick family trip to Macon for the Cherry Blossom 🌸 Festival. The property is clean and the beds are comfortable. The Hay House is visible from the front porch, I highly recommend visiting the Hay House on your trip. The secret about this house was truly unexpected and added so much to our experience.

Me and a group of friends went to Macon for a weekend to take in the musical history of the city, and a few of us preferred staying in a rental home instead of a hotel. This place more than fit the bill. Located on the very end of Cherry Street, it's actually a pretty quiet property with little traffic, but we were still able to safely walk 4 -5 blocks through an historic district to downtown restaurants. We also brought down a few homemade dinner meals when we didn't go out and the kitchen was well-stocked to accommodate a few additional guests for dinner in the dining room. We were able to comfortably sit in the main room and watch NCAA basketball in the evenings. Beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well supplied. We met the owner once at check-in but he let us be for an enjoyable weekend. I would definitely consider staying here again if I am back in Macon anytime soon.

Stayed in this 1830 Cherry St house when in town for a concert - it’s about 2 blocks from the auditorium. Unfortunately the concert was cancelled, but we still found lots to do within easy walking distance. Hay House is in view, very close and when on the tour looking out an upper floor window the guide pointed out this house as the childhood home of the wife of the man who built it who moved her original home to that location. The house actually has two sections completely separated by breezeway - this rental is one side of it. Exterior has seen better days, but interior nice as advertised. Very comfortable, liked the high ceilings. Would recommend leaning into history a bit more with decor.

The entire process was smooth and easy. William was very willing to message about the property and all details. Great little spot near downtown Macon.

We walked to the City Auditorium for a concert so location was perfect for us. We wandered around downtown and toured the Hay house which was just a block or so away. St. Joseph's Catholic Church was a couple of blocks away and it was stunning inside and out! Plenty of room to move around in the cottage, nice spaces.

We needed a central spot to host a meeting Macon was the ideal location. We wanted a place with good space and convenient to restaurants and downtown. This house was perfect, it had everything we needed. Also enjoyed walking around outside and seeing some of the historical sites. Great visit!

Great couple that look after this place. Clean quiet. The beds could use some upgrades but we slept well . We’ll return.

We had a great time at the Cherry House. The location was perfect for walking to all of the restaurants and sites downtown, including the Hay House. The owner was responsive and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

The house was close to downtown area. I loved the old door knobs and plates. We found everything we needed and the hosts were helpful and friendly.

Had an absolutely amazing stay at Cherry Street House! William was very helpful with anything myself, or my friends needed before and during our two night stay. The location is very nice, quiet, and central, only a few minutes walk to downtown Macon with endless nightlife possibilities. Would absolutely recommend this location to anyone and will certainly stay here again, if my travels bring me back to Macon.

I was working in the area and stayed here for 6 weeks.I only ate out 3 times in 6 weeks. Had everything you could want for right there in the house. Brought my single cup coffee maker with me and bought a toaster while there. Other than that you have it just like home. Bed was comfortable. The second bedroom never used. Bathroom was room and had hot water all the time. Used the dining room table to lay out all my work and the living room couch put me to sleep a few nights. Almost didnt get up as it is comfortable. The porch is cozy and the parking is big enough to park a F250 Ford truck.Owner and I met a couple of times and chatted, but stayed to their selves and works hard so didnt expect to see him much. I will always stay here when I come back to Macon GA. I was literally 1/2 a mile from my favorite hamburger joint. Could not ask for more!!!! Thanks for letting me stay for 6 straight weeks.

We spent two weeks at Cherry Street house while my husband was working in Macon. The property is in a great location with easy access to downtown. Because of Covid-19 we did not do too much exploring, but we did see many restaurants and spots that we would love to visit in better times. We did however, take a couple of walks around the neighborhood and there are some beautiful mansions to see. The house itself is nicely decorated and comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped for a longer stay. William is a great host and he checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Would be happy to return if we are ever back in Macon.

Absolutely Awesome

We were in Macon for a wedding at the Library Ballroom. This house was conveniently located for downtown activities. It’s is beautifully decorated with a welcoming atmosphere. Beautiful views of the Hay House make this a great find. William was a great host. We will almost surely stay again!!

Perfect place for our family during our trip to Macon. Very clean, all the essentials, as well as extras we appreciated (coffee, tea, soap and other essentials). Very comfortable beds and plenty of towels and linens. Would definitely stay there again!!
