Beautiful condo. Comfortable for a weekend girls trip. Loved the balcony and living spaces. Nice to have 2 bathrooms for 4 girls getting ready. Resort was nice and enjoyed the pool and lazy river. Affordable Ubers to The Strand and Pier area.

This property is super nice, easy, and clean, but all the appliances need maintenance. The ice maker does not work, the fridge water filter needs to be changed, and the dishwasher doesn't work. We did not try the washer/dryer because we had read previous reviews, so we avoided that altogether. We would definitely stay there again if those appliances were fixed.

This was a great condo. There were a few prior reviews mentioning the dryer didn’t work. However, this seems to be resolved. Both washer and dryer worked well and appeared to be new units. They did provide dish soap and sponge for dishes since the dishwasher didn’t work. The amenities at the condo were great. The pool was still closed due to the storm cleanup, but the lazy river was open and so was the indoor pool which was nice. They had a great play area for my son and staff was very nice and helpful. Overall, this was a great place to stay and would definitely recommend.

Took the family to Galveston for beach vacation. Location was great. The condominium itself has great pools and amenities. Also great places right by where we were staying. The issue I had with the condo is that the dryer and dishwasher did not function at all. It’s hard to be with small kids when the dishwasher and dryer do not work. I checked other reviews and it seems both have been reported for months that they are broken but they have not been fixed. I wouldn’t think it would take months to replace a dryer and a dishwasher. They are also not expensive appliances so there really isn’t an excuse. My suggestion would be to avoid this rental since it doesn’t seem like the owner cares about this property and does not maintain it appropriately. Besides that it was good.

The unit is nice and overall what the listing describes. I knew the dishwasher wasn't working (noted in description) but was not expecting the clothes dryer to not also be working. This was reported within an hour of checking in. First response was "Thanks for letting us know". Second was "do you want it fixed?" There was no further action taken.
The end result was half a day of our vacation at a laundromat instead of the beach.
So if the listing still (after a year!) says the dishwasher is broken, assume the other appliances are too.
The overall property was fine and would use it again.

My husband Jason and I absolutely LOVED EVERYTHING within this resort!
This was our very first time visiting Diamond Beach Resort. We stayed a whole week and there was never a dull or boring moment. There's numerous amenities on and inside of the property that appeals to all ages. My all-time favorite thing that I did while we were there was soaking in the hot tub! Sitting on the patio watching and listening to the lull of the waves and watching the sea gulls was so peaceful, tranquil and relaxing. We also enjoyed exercising and working out in the gym. The washer and dryer within the condo is a wonderful addition, especially knowing the fact that you can leave with clean clothes on the way home. Everything (from the time we arrived at Diamond Beach to the time we departed) was of the utmost excellence and quality. We will definitely be returning again very soon with our 16 year old son, Josh for the summer.

This was third time at this resort, and all three condos have been nice but two of three stays got the same story-"the indoor pool heater broke yesterday". At this time of year, this was the main activity planned with our grandchildren. Also remote to main TV in room was not working and took greater than 24 hours to get fixed. Too expensive for us not to have these amenities and asked to be reimbursed for part of stay but have not heard back. Others staying there with children were likewise disappointed. Contact (phone text) at one point told us indoor pool was not heated pool and we knew this to be false. Let down significantly copared to our first visit to Diamond Beach.

This home has a beautiful beach view, very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here with only a few hiccups I wish we didn’t come across. First, the filter water from fridge had a terrible old taste to it like the filter had not been changed or something. Tasted mildew like so we had to go out and buy bottled water. Other big thing we thought shouldn’t have happened during our stay was that the living room, main tv only worked on one channel. Couldn’t get main bedroom tv to work either so called the number they listed for concerns, they sent someone out who also couldn’t get it to work. Fixed the bedroom tv but main living room never worked. This shouldn’t have happened.
Other than that it is a gorgeous place to stay.

My wife and I visited Galveston during our Christmas break. 516 was beautiful and met all our needs. The views from the balcony were breathtaking, as well were the views from the well appointed kitchen and comfortable living room. The condo had everything we needed for our stay as far as cleaning supplies, cookware, extra pillows and blankets, etc. the condo is in the perfect location on the seawall away from the bustle of the touristy portion of Galveston but still within a 5-10 min scenic drive to The Strand, historic downtown, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and the other attractions of Galveston. The property has many amenities such as an indoor poor and a huge outdoor pool overlooking the Gulf. Parking is easy and secure. We loved our stay, and we are already looking at what dates in 2024 we can return.

This was a perfect little place to stay and highly recomend. The accomedations at the resort we amazing, just wish it was warm enough for the lazy river/outdoor pool. My only issue (which could have been avoided if I would have reached out) was the thermostate would not hold at the lower temp we wanted and we would get really warm overnight and we would have to turn it down over and over. But again, probably could have been resolved easily. We recommend and would stay again.

The condo and resort was clean and quiet. The pool area was great also. Condo was stocked with everything promised except beach chairs. There was only 1 for the 2 of us and after calling Vacasa to ask for another we were assured someone locally would be bringing one. That did not happen so it put a damper on our beach time.

This was the perfect spot for 3 adults to stay and enjoy all the amenities that Diamond Beach offers. You can watch the sunrise from the condo, you can access the beach, enjoy the lazy river and pools and you aren’t too far from the Galveston attractions. The master bedroom king bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever had in a condo rental. The resort was nearly empty due to it being off season and we loved the quiet and peace. The recliners in the living room were so relaxing and the view out the window was awesome. The sinks in the bathrooms are really high for a short person like us. The tile floor in the master shower is extremely slick, slippery and dangerous. Although the shower itself is big and has 2 shower heads. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would rent this exact condo again.

My husband and I stayed for a birthday getaway. The views are spectacular and the resort makes it easy to relax. Beach access if you have issues walking is a bit difficult, staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable and easy ride down to the main Seawall.

Booked this property based off of a friends recommendation. Great location, loved the view. We did enjoy the condo, even thought the dishwasher was broken, the towels were gross, and there was a faint, unpleasant smell when walking through the front door. The pool and lazy river are amazing, however there were very view floats available for the lazy river. The swim-up bar was only open for a few hours during the 3 days that we were there. The water slide was not open at all. Would stay at this property again.

We absolutely loved the swimming area! The first impression to our condo was damaged by serious pot smell and dishwasher door was broken and unsafe! Along with the patio table being broken and falling apart, it too was unsafe. Other than these issues, we had a great time in Galveston!!

We loved our stay in room #516. The amenities were fantastic and the staff was very helpful. We loved the location of the condo. We would definitely like to return again next year.
Just a few notes but not any deal breakers:
1. The 2 tvs in the bedrooms would not work right. The master bedroom tv I think it was a cable thing and the other bedroom was missing a remote.
2. The front bathroom would not let us fill the tub( my daughter likes baths).
3. Also the ceiling above the first bathroom leaked about a gallon of water in the evening hours of Monday. We called maintenance and gave a report. We found a bucket and placed it under the leak.
4. The fire alarm also went off like 2 times on Sunday night.
Everything always has a few hiccups but I still rated our experience overall a 10 out of 10.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Kids loved the bunk bed/trundle combo. Enough family-friendly amenities, you don't have to leave the resort unless you want to. Highly recommend.

The Diamond Beach property was a great choice for our 3 day stay in Galveston. The condo was beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The pools and lazy river were wonderful and we had so much fun in the game room. The location and view were perfect! Only a few drawbacks… there was no dishwasher and there is a really nice soaker tub but it was broken (had to use the shower instead.) Still, I would definitely recommend the property to others who will be visiting the area.

The unit looked updated which was nice. However the dishwasher door is super heavy and fell to floor many times, a danger to kids. There were tvs but xfinity was not working and not usable, which disappointed kids. Master bathroom toilet lever was hard to operate and was super noisy. While the numerous outdoor amenities were very appealing, they felt grungy. Outdoor pool was too cold to use this time of year.

This condo was prefect for our family of 3 for a Spring Break get away. We played on the beach, enjoyed the hot tubs, and splashed in the indoor heated pool as the outdoor water was still a bit chilly in March. The game room was a great escape for the kiddo and the location was conveniently located near Moody Gardens, restaurants, and the Sea Wall. The beds were most comfortable and the living spaces were also comfortable and welcoming. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home away from home with us!

Clean and spacious with just about everything we needed for a week. Bathrooms were large and kitchen well equipped. Off season was very peaceful and quiet. The staff at the front desk so nice. Beach/pool towels were shown in the picture so we didn't bring any. There weren't any in the condo so we bought a couple in town. The gated parking was an unexpected bonus as we had golf clubs and bikes so that added extra security. Fitness center was outstanding- clean, beautiful view and huge variety of cardio and strength equipment. The pool and outdoor areas are amazing but since it was a chilly week and the water was cold, didn't really get the chance to use them. We decided to stay an extra day and called VACASA to extend once we found it was available. We would definitely come back.

This condo was perfect for the three of us. We spent our days on the lazy river, loved the excess to the beach and the beautiful view from our balcony. The condo was beautifully decorated and had very comfortable beds and seating. It also had a huge tub along with the rain shower head in the guest bathroom but unfortunately the button that closes the water off the spout to the tub was stuck and we could only take a shower. The 2 jacuzzis were in need of repair. The one that had working jets was not hot. I reported it to property and that said they would fix it after the first night but it never did get hot. The jacuzzi that was hot had broken jets. I also love the location of the property, right at the west end of the seawall. Beautiful, clean resort!

Loved the lazy River and pool areas. As mentioned in other reviews, the window shades are broken and door to balcony does not lock. Not issues for us and we had a good time. Not crowded at all after Labor Day.

The mattresses at this condo are HORRIBLE. They are very old, so to compensate they put foam on top. They are extremely soft and you sink in. All the mattresses are bad even in the bunk bed. Also the sheets are stiff and rough. We left a day early because we could not sleep.
Additionally when we arrived the cleaning was not great. There was sand all over the countertops in the kitchen.
I would not recommend this condo.

Three windows in the living room, one had a shade, one had a broken shade that didn't work, and one was missing completely. There is not one single towel hook in the condo. The rain head in the shower is either on or off. There was no mattress pad on the mattresses. The master bed frame is huge, watch your shins! The thermostat is clearly new and all digital, however it is not user friendly when it says to "swipe".
The biggest disappointment was the veranda on the 3rd floor being closed. Condo #516 does not have view of the sunset but I knew from previous stay about the veranda view so the fact that it was closed was my two star review of Diamond Beach
