This house is so wonderful. Easy location to get to and from the highways. The house has gorgeous views of the ocean in a really nice neighborhood. Great restaurants, grocery store and surf shop for t-shirts nearby, 10 minute walk (it is downhill so the walk back up is a great leg workout). Wonderful to have a garage and driveway parking spot. Owner had the house stocked nicely with shampoo/conditoner/body wash, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards and toys as well as some seasonings and cooking supplies. Lots of room to relax and sitting outside on the 2 decks was a highlight of the morning and evening sunsets. We will absolutely be back to this house. Thank you for a wonderful family vacation l!

We recently moved from Encinitas CA to Lexington KY. and we knew we would be back for Christmas and wanted to stay in Cardiff. From the minute we opened the front door this home is AMAZING. The View - out of this world. The location is perfect, super easy walking distance to stores, restaurants, beach, rail trail. Kitchen was well supplied with whatever you might need. High end appliances. 2 decks with ample seating. Couldn't ask for more. We will definitely stay here again.

The home was beautiful and in a great location. Easy access to the beach, although walkable it's a bit of a hike up the hill after a long day. Interior was clean and well maintained and the rental company was responsive throughout the whole process.

There were 6 of us for a Family Vacation ranging from toddler to grandparents. View is fantastic and location is great. Close to market and restaurants for great food options. Location is perfect for small drives to amenities.

The pictures don’t quite do the setting justice. Both the main level and Master Suite balconies have floor to ceiling windows/doors. This unit was spacious for a family of four adults with plenty of room to spread out. The location is a short walk to the beach, groceries and restaurants. We hope to return to this same unit again!

Stunning Ocean Views in home with updated costal modern decor
We just spent a week at this amazing home over the 4th of July holiday. It was the perfect spot for me, my husband and 2 teen daughters. The views are stunning - the pictures online don't capture how expansive and unobstructed the ocean views are from both inside and outside on the bottom and top decks. As a frequent summer renter in the area - it is rare to have such wide of an open direct ocean view unless directly on the water (which a limited stock and a whole different price point). Cardiff is nestled right between Solana Beach and Encinitas - two of our favorite spots. While you could walk to the beach - that would have been a bit of a haul with all our gear. Our teens insist on Moonlight beach anyway for the young action - it was an easy 5 min drive and the home had 4 beach chairs and 2 boogie boards for beach fun. The decor is well done modern coastal and the master bedroom is huge with a very comfortable bed. There "could" be a 3rd bedroom, but it is really just a pull out couch in the open den right off the master bedroom (this was clearly advertised - so we were not surprised - our two teens shared the room on the first floor with their own bath). The home is a duplex townhome, so there are neighbors right next door - but there was no residual noise (just general outside neighborhood noise typical of the densely packed SoCal area). The decks on top and bottom do directly border the neighbor and could probably benefit from some plantings to provide a bit of screening privacy, but the lovely owners next door were never out on their patio with the exception of the 4th of July fireworks - so we were not bothered by this and when we did meet them, they were delightful. Finally - for my AZ friends, this home has AC which is not common in ocean view homes that have coastal breezes. But us Zonies do love to sleep with AC - although I will say since the home is set up on the hill, you are far from the coaster train and have zero train noise (and there is no horn stops in Cardiff like the stops in Encinitas and Leucadia) and could keep windows open all night. Property is managed by a local property management company who provided great information in advance of our arrival, was responsive to questions when we arrived and open to post stay feedback that we provided (no issues - just items to take a future stay from great to extraordinary). We plan to come back here next summer!

Location was amazing. House was very nice. Missing a bunch of pantry items most Vrbo houses have, but other than that no complaints! Disappointing we had family close by but they weren’t allowed to visit because 6 max in the house, but we knew that ahead of time.

Nice views, could have been better
My family and I stayed here for a long weekend. The views and location were very nice. I enjoyed the Patios and walking distance to breakfast places and down to the beach. There was a small ant problem, which we could tell they were treating with traps and doing their best. However, it was hard to sit on the couch without finding one. The upstairs shower had terrible water pressure, but the downstairs was good. Overall, we didn’t spend a ton of time here since the people we were in town to see we’re not allowed over because it exceeded the 6 person max rule.

Nice but could be better
Location, open floor plan, views from balconies superior, pleasant updated furnishings, however all repair issues were not met, mainly the dishwasher and complimentary mid month cleaning never materialized. All in all we gave it 4 stars and would stay again

Nice location, nice home, BUT….
BUT…it was a head scratcher. There were SO many opportunities to easily improve the stay, but it seemed they are literally trying to save pennies. The cleaning was sub-par, and definitely did not feel Covid safe. We used our wipes to clean kitchen surfaces and tables that were not cleaned - ewwww. Bring your own TP (literally- they use the cheapest 1/2 ply possible). Bring your own soap (they provide a motel throw away bar). Bring your own kleenex too. The kitchen was very weak - the cheapest possible (near impossible to use) wine opener and really old stuff, cheap, or non-existent essential items. It would not cost much to make the stay much more comfortable and convenient. It was cool out which was good since there was no air conditioning and no umbrella on either patio. We slept with the sliding doors open for air, but it was loud car noise and barking dogs. The neighbors were really nice, but they are RIGHT there on each side. We didn’t mind this, but a consideration if you want privacy.

Fabulous Staycation in Cardiff by the Sea with Surf Style
Incredibly spacious and well designed property on the hill in Cardiff by the Sea with sweeping ocean views. The upstairs master bedroom/bath and balcony is a 5-Star Experience. The downstairs layout also makes it easy to relax into "vacation/staycation vibes". We enjoyed the spacious deck area and grill throughout our stay as well. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in one the BEST north county beach communities in San Diego.

Perfection...
We were absolutely blown away by this home, it’s even better in person! The beds were so comfortable, it felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. The view was amazing and the community is so quiet & peaceful. There’s a huge jet tub with a frosted window that you can turn on and off which blew our minds. There’s also a bidet toilet in the master bath with a seat warmer! For parents with young kids, the house had a pack-n-play along with a couple baby gates to protect the kids from the stairs. A couple things to be aware of: the racks in the dishwasher roll out fast & furious, so be careful as you load & unload it. And there was one drawer in the kitchen that wouldn’t stay shut (kind of annoying but not a huge deal). We’ll definitely be back, this was a 5-star vacation for our family!

Amazing views and beautifully decorated!
The home is lovely, beautifully decorated, and in a great location. We enjoyed the sunsets each evening from the patios, and it was nice to have a garage. The property was clean, however there was a terrible odor inside the fridge, even though it was empty. I messaged the property manager about it, and received a response 6 hours later that they had never had that complaint before, that I should put a box of baking soda in there (there was already a box inside), and that the housekeeper would check it out on Monday (the day I was leaving). I didn't think the response was adequate, particularly since I had to throw away most of the food and wine that I had brought, as it had absorbed the odor. We had planned to do some cooking but ended up having to eat all of our meals out. As a rental property owner myself, I would expect a management company to have made an effort to address this complaint.

It's a BEAUTIFUL home, looks professionally decorated. Clean throughout. I slept in the master bedroom and slept like a baby in the super comfy bed and linens. Very spacious. Only a couple things need fixing - the dishwasher is not attached to the cabinetry, so when you open it, the racks inside nearly come out onto the floor, but it works fine! We could not get Netflix/streaming working on the TV - a person from the management team even came over to try to fix it, but couldn't, but we survived on cable TV in the evening. :)Those two little things were no big deals at all, especially compared to the rest of the lovely experience. I'm already looking forward to planning our next trip to this beautiful home! Thank you!

Fabulous view, great decor,
This was a wonderful property. I would like to know who the designer was as the place was exquisitely decorated...really a treat for the aesthetic senses. We lucked out and hit a very stormy weekend so the sky/clouds/sunset views were magnificent. Only critique is that the dining room table chairs are past their prime...the leg came off of one and the cushioning was so worn they were not comfortable to sit in...but even that could not diminish what a wonderful time we had and the gorgeousness of this property.

High quality vacation home
My wife and I stayed for our anniversary, money well worth spent. The views are even better in person. The master suite is HUGE, we spent evenings and mornings watching the water and sunsets in bed! We met the neighbors, who are the nicest senior citizen couple that you'll meet. The area is so laid back and friendly, with lots of great places to eat and easy walk to the market. We called Surf Style to fix one of the sliding doors, they answered right away and very helpful. You won't be disappointed!

Great location, beautiful home
This place is beautiful! We were able to watch the sunset on the back porch every day and it was so magical. The location was walking distance to the beach, running paths, some local restaurants like Pipes and Waverly and a local market [pricey but good for quick trips]. Also only 15 min from Del Mar, 5 min from downtown Encinitas, etc.
The upstairs bedroom is huge and great for families. The downstairs bedroom and bath are also nice and really this place is good for 4 adults and kids under 5 who can stay with parents upstairs [as the listing says]. The third "bedroom" we used as an office which was great since we were working the whole time.
Beautiful fireplace too that added just enough heat at night when it cooled down a bit but also made the space homey and romantic.
The only reason I didn't give 4 star [would have done 4.5 if I could] were a few small things that since we stayed here a month and were working so at home a lot were a bit annoying. Again these are minor things but just an FYI and won't be noticeable for shorter vacation travelers:
- noisy home - the AC is really noisy so you just have a dull hum almost always that you really notice when it shuts off.
- Dishwasher that falls out - the dishwasher is not fixed in place so the drawers roll out when you open the door so just be careful! It's not a big deal as it works fine but when loading was just a bit of a pain to ensure the dishes don't roll out.
- big bugs - there were big cockroach looking bugs we saw in the living room that we saw at night which was creepy - never saw them outside of the living room area so not sure if was just a few but we killed 3-4 of these bugs [my husband said looked like "water bugs"]
- Grill is very worn and needs to be replaced. Only 2 burner's worked after they had someone come out to look at it [you have to light with lighter FYI as the pilot doesn't work]. We would have loved to grill more if we could! The outdoor space is so great!
All that being said the customer service was amazing - when we got there the cups were pretty dirty even after washing and there wasn't a vacuums and we got cups replaced and a vacuum delivered within 24 hours. They also sent someone same day to check out the grill when we couldn't get it to work. Appreciate the timely responses to everything. I would 100% stay here again!

Surf trip to Cardiff
Lovely home on the hill with a beautiful view. Easy walk to San Elijo SB and stores/restaurants. House was clean and comfortable. Beds were great. AC was a bit noisy but we just opened the doors and let the sea air in. Would definitely stay again!
