Location

For a £300 a night hotel the room was ok, nice view over the river. Breakfast £20 each extra, the breakfast was very poor. A breakfast buffet only, not table service, long wait for eggs, came up at different times after asking a few times. Queue for self service toast on the slowest toaster in the world.

Helpful staff in a boutique-feel property. Very quiet with all the facilities needed for a leisure stay.

Decor perhaps a bit much, but on a theme with the local setting.

The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. The location is perfect for exploring the city.

The room and bedding were comfortable and more spacious than expected. The breakfast was tasty and the location was convenient.

The staff was not very communicative about the amenities on site so I did not know about the hours or location in the breakfast or fitness center. The room was a bit noisy from street noise early in the morning.

Lovely hotel in great location next to everything essential. The room was comfortable with nice decoration and equipment. Bed was also super.

Nothing much, but there was an issue with the air conditioning and the room was getting a bit cold. However, the stuff brought me a portable heater, which was sufficient.

Great location. The room very clean and tidy. First impression on arrival was satisfactory but went down.

Staff NOT particularly friendly. They were functional and polite. Walked through reception a few times and no-one acknowledges guests with a hello/good morning/good afternoon/good evening. When checking out there was a queue of 4 or 5 people at reception with 4 members of staff where only one was dealing with guests. It took a while for a second to look up any ask if they could help anyone. Tea bags in room not refreshed. Good range for breakfast, but dining room was dysfunctional. Tea and coffee arrangement not clear. had to search for them. on first date. Was told no tea/coffee available for about 30minutes. On second day we were offered tea/coffee.

We loved the university / Cambridge theme and how welcoming the staff were. We experienced a shower leak on the first night in room 30 - but this was quickly resolved by the maintenance staff who were very reassuring and friendly - and gave us drinks vouchers for the inconvenience .

Brilliant location for us - steps away to punting and the centre of town (which was important since our group ranged in age from 2 to 81). Helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Enormous cot for the bub. On site parking a big plus, too.

Price is a bit steep but very happy with our stay overall

Location is perfect - a quick walk into town and right on the river. The room was huge, well stocked with beautiful decor. It was really clean. The bar and restaurant looked cool though didn't actually eat or drink there. Really recommend as a base for visiting Cambridge.

The aircon and fridge were a bit noisy through the night but other than that no complaints

The location is excellent and the decor beautiful. We had a river view room and it was wonderful to be able to look out and see all the activity on the river. Being able to enjoy sunny evenings on deck chairs in the garden was also very pleasant. The breakfast was very good, with an excellent variety of items and high quality.

We stayed 5 nights with our young children and felt there could be substantial improvements in staff approach to customer care. We choose the hotel for the location but also for the swimming pool as this is a priority when we travel with our kids. They loved swimming daily before or after our daily activity so we choose it over cheaper alternatives for this reason. Therefore we were horrified when we were told at check-in that the kids (and therefore us by default) would only be able use the pool between 10-6 which meant we only used it twice during our stay. This isn’t mentioned in any of the advertising and I’ve only experienced this previously in very high-end spa facilities. Even 9-7 would have been more workable to enable a swim before or after daily plans. We complained strongly at check-in and were told it would be considered by the management but no response provided. The swimming pool is very small and it is clear locals can use it as members so I can see why they do this but they need to decide where their priorities are and also advertise transparently. My kids were also excited to see the mat for the outdoor chess set when we arrived but we were told it was only used for special events. Staff appeared to be managed in such a way that they had no capacity to respond to customer requests and provide the care that you would expect in a hotel of this calibre, instead they tended to stick rigidly to processes. For example I observed a family one evening sitting at a table in the garden who had ordered a full round of drinks. At that stage the sun was only on about half the garden and their table was within that section. They requested a plate of chips to share with their drinks and they were told they could only have them if they moved to the other end of the garden to the restaurant section and therefore completely out of the sun- again a simple opportunity to provide stellar customer experience hampered by adherence to arbitrary processes.

Wir haben 2x Frühstück eingenommen, es war gut. Die Lage des Hotels ist außerordentlich gut. Damit waren wir sehr zufrieden. Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Zimmerpersonal ebenfalls freundlich, der Service nicht immer zufriedenstellend.

The view was nice. Sitting on the deck chairs in the afternoon sun with a drink and people watching was fun. The front desk staff and bar staff were helpful and friendly.

This hotel is the best in Cambridge IMHO - great location and views.

Key cards to our room being turned off when we extended our stay - quickly fixed.

Communication poor, hadn’t recognised a cancelled room! I had to remind receptionist to charge car parking..seems new computer system!! Housekeeping average..room cleaned late pm.. bed not remade or tea coffee replenished.

Loved the decor and attention to detail. Beautiful ambiance and fantastic location. Sat outside by the river in the afternoon with Kyle party for drinks and nibbles.

the room wasn’t cleaned to standard. Surfaces were dusty and found hair on the bathroom floor. Also, we were charged £40 for breakfast as we got there before check in( we pre checked in however) and weren’t given a discount for breakfast. I felt it was a rip off.

Zimmer war anstatt 15:00 erst 16:30 fertig, Zimmer war geräumig aber wurde anscheinend lange nicht mehr gründlich geputzt, daher etwas schmuddelig, aber Schmutz ist ja gesund :-)

The Graduate was really charming with lots of character. Th location r right on the Cam near The Mill was excellent. Staff were always very pleasant and helpful, and the range of dining options and guest spaces, as well as having a gym made for an exceedingly enjoyable and comfortable stay.

We loved every aspect of The Graduate. There was no obvious area of the hotel or service that needed improvement.

Appreciated the room upgrade. Car parking was very helpful. Location was excellent.

The gym/leisure facilities were good. The location by the river is good.

Breakfast was dreadful. Apart from the choice and quality, we were forever having to ask for basics like cutlery. We kept getting the wrong drinks order sent over etc. We had to complain about a number of things during dinner and had the bill part-comped. We had to ask numerous times for things for the room that were missing and they never resolved them. Slow service or self service.

The reception staff Filipa and Luca were excellent they were both very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble they made our stay so much better they were the best reception staff I have found anywhere. The location of the hotel was excellent right on the river easy to walk into the centre we would definitely stay here again if we go to Cambridge again.

We liked everything about the hotel but I do think charging guests to park when you’re staying in the hotel is a bit much but understand everywhere is doing it now.

Lovely warm welcome from Luca and Emma. The room was lovely and having a balcony overlooking the River Cam was great; coffee on the balcony in our dressing gowns before breakfast - marvellous.

We had no bath robes which were meant to be included with the room and it took 2 phone calls to Reception to have them delivered. Not a big deal really but slightly irritating.

Stripped back to the bare minimum. Very few room facilities, no-one answers the phone, service for drinks/dinner very poor. More staff needed. Spent the previous night at University Arms which was much better

It was really centrally located, and everyone was so nice!

Very poor river view - flat roof took away over half the view from the rear. No shower gel, no bathmat no dressing gown no complimentary water I the room - but the at £325 a night you expect them - especially when they are advised as standard. Also, this is the second time I’ve stayed here ( not out of choice ) and on both occasions it’s taken over half an hour to check in and get on the room even tho reception was quiet.

Location was perfect! Situated in the river and only 5 minute walk into the centre. The style of the hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and helpful and all the facilities were clean. Really enjoyed the spa and the bar too! Parking was extra but very straightforward to organise.

Located with a 5 min walk to the city centre and access to numerous bars and restaurants as well as the hotel offerings. The shops and museums and colleges also on hand to visit and enjoy. Sunday lunch was great at the Garden House Restaurant within the hotel. The room had a balcony with which we could sit and overlook the river.
