The only thing we liked was the water pressure! Other than that the place was horrible

The place was NOT private, it was full of roaches, the owner thought it was ok to go inside our place we were “RENTING” and go in without us knowing and out personal belongings were inside. Things were moved and touched and then there were several lies she (Andy) made up just to be so hateful and rude. She had several negative things she said towards my kids and made them very uncomfortable. The boys could use the top bunk on bunk bed bc 1- the ladder had no way to attack it to bed so they couldn’t get up and down by themselves but mainly.. 2- there was NO RAILING on the top bunk! It is highly unsafe for a kid to be on the top bunk and not have a saftey rail. Also we noticed she came back again when we weren’t there and kept unlocking the sliding door on the back which made us highly uncomfortable. So yes, both my husband and I picked the bed up off the flood and put the bunk bed in front of the door and put the futon in the corner for them to be able to get some sleep and be safe. Due to Andy constantly sneaking out and around and spying on us, we put a blanket and pillow’s against the walls to make the kids feel more comfortable bc we didn’t want to wake up and see lights or her or any stranger for that matter. There was marks on the floor and roaches all over before we got there so that was another one of her lies. Also we couldn’t rest or stay there during the day bc he dogs wouldn’t hush, and the place was to cramped up and hot. It wasn’t prompt like she told us. The boys were set on going fishing and we were told it was water front. It was NOT! My kids couldn’t even make it down to fish due to all the holes, rocks, unsafe structures, etc. the boat house was nasty, the walk around her home was nasty, and we couldn’t fish out there due to the amount of garbage and filth in and around the fishing area. We had to drive somewhere just to night fish. Also we couldn’t grill out due to the rust on the grill. And the toilet made all kind of noises.

It was a very nice cabin. Very cozy and has everything you need. The main bed was very comfy. The couch was comfy. The boat house was amazing and very convenient. Everything was clean. The owner was very nice and made us feel very welcomed. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I wouldn't say that we have anything that we didn't like. The only thing that I could say is that the bunk beds were not the most comfortable. But they're bunk beds, you don't expect them to be luxury.

I had a hard time walking back uphill from the boathouse, but the lake is worth it.

The peace and quiet. The host was excellent. Never been to such a place. Just wish I had a boat.

No lakeside view in summer, grass is not cut way too tall worried about snakes, fire pit is not practical (can’t sit around it), grill doesn’t work, the HIKE down to the water is literally a danger! Property is unkept (piles of dead vines, used ladders, remodeling items piled up) the ceiling fan over bunk bed is a danger , plastic on queen bed is loud, the mattresses appear very old and have eggshell foam on top, couch is broken Should have rented a cabin at Guntersville Lake Park
