My family and I enjoyed a wonderful time at Trembling Bay. The house was lovely, the master suite amazing, and the views were unparalleled. The only downsides were the upstairs bedrooms. They were quite small and warm. The pier could use some maintenance as well. However, the stay was so enjoyable those were small annoyances. I'd return there in a blink.

This cottage was lovely. Private, quiet, clean, and with beautiful views of the bay. I could have spent the whole week on the screened porch. My only criticism is that the air conditioning doesn't cool the upstairs sufficiently. There are fans in the house, and you definitely need them on the second floor. Also, no linens means no bath mats, so don't forget to bring them like we did. But even with those criticisms, I would happily stay here again.

Overall the house/location was great. However, there were a few minor issues: the stovetop wasn’t cleaned very well, there was an issue with one of the TVs and the A/C wasn’t working properly toward the end of our stay. I’m assuming someone already knew because a technician came to fix it. While we were happy to see them, a heads up that this company was coming would have been appreciated.

Fabulous vacation! This house is adorable and very comfortable! Everything is in good working order, we had no issues with anything. Quiet and tranquil, with magnificent sunsets. To the owners of Trembling Bay, thank you for sharing your charming home!

Location was great and house was pleasantly decorated. However, major concern was two bathrooms. The master bath was nicely renovated with one big flaw: shower will flood the entire bathroom and possibly the bedroom itself no matter how carefully you shower. We could not take shower since we did not want to ruin the floor. The second bathroom had one old, dirty shower head with moldy knob. I tried to clean it with Clorox wipe but couldn’t. Everything else was as expected but bathroom showers were such letdowns and need to be fixed. Just cannot believe how no one else had issues with them. I would come back only if there two are addressed and fixed. Second bathroom need new tub and shower system: tub is so high that anyone taller than 5feet will not be able to take shower standing up.

We had a wonderful stay. Friendly people, beautiful scenery- a great spot for a family getaway.

I have been coming here for over 30 years and have rented numerous. I was most disappointed in this rental for so many reasons. Air conditioner froze up daily (even with following the directions). Master TV didn’t work at all and was never attended to during our stay. All skillets are in terrible shape. Owner needs to invest in a new set. Shower consistently leaks onto bathroom floor. You had to sit on the washer to keep it latched during the spin cycle and the dryer makes a horrid screeching sound every time we used it. We never did receive correct sheets from the linen rental and although we understand there is an apparent “linen shortage”, a proper communication prior (vs the day of) would have prompted us to get a king fitted sheet on our own. The $80 rental fee is a joke if you don’t get the needed linens. Future guests need to know there is NO a/c in the upstairs bedrooms, only fans, and it gets very warm. We ran out of hot water during our stay but the company was prompt in getting gas refilled

Trembling Bay was perfect for our family. The house was well kept and the view of the bay was spectacular. Thank you Chincoteague Resort Realty for the excellent customer service.

Had an awesome time at Trembling Bay. House is very quaint, views are incredible! Photo is a sunset from the ramp leading down to the pier. Pier would be wonderful in the summer for fishing and crabbing. Love having the master bed and bath on the 1st floor. Love the fireplace. Lots of extras as well, rental agency provides starter paper towels, dish and dishwasher detergents, washing machine detergent and dryer sheets, and toilet paper. Really enjoyed our relaxing visit and hope to come back soon!!

Cute property with lovely view. A few items in need of repair (stove top was cracked and fireplace needed screen to cover wires) but overall great for a weekend getaway. Living room furniture seemed new and was very comfortable. Outside furniture could have been cleaned before arrival. If planning to cook make sure to check that the stove top has been repaired. Would definitely stay again.

We spent a couple weeks in early March there and though it was too cold to enjoy sitting on the pier for long the view from the house was wonderful. The house has a gas fireplace which was very cozy and comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone and we are going to make our reservations for the next time very soon.

Trembling Bay is such a great and relaxing rental. The house has beautiful views of the bay and a private dock that is simply divine. Chincotegue Resort Vacations customer service is also terrific. Before, during, and after your vacation stay they keep you up to date on your rental and answer any questions promptly. Thank you for another wonderful stay.

We loved the property location. We saw the sunset each night from the large windows, screened porch and pier. My son caught sea bass, eel, and many other small fish. We rented kayaks. Some days were really windy but we did get some very relaxing time one the water. My husband and son saw 3 or 4 sharks, We caught blue crab every night and had with dinner. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. Nice dishwasher, new washer and dryer. Two bedrooms up stairs are small and were a little warm. The large first floor bedroom was handicap accessible. Mattresses were okay. WiFi was good. We loved Assateague national refugee. We walked a lot of the nature trails. Saw wild ponies, tricolor heron, egrets, butterflies and frogs. We had a beach day. We saw sea gulls, sand pipers and plowers. The house needs some work. Porches had not been sweep down so there were lots of spider webs. Go to the food lion if purchasing groceries. It is only 20 minutes away. The Valu mart onThe island was pricy and the food not too appealing. We set up a reservation at Etta’s. When we got there they told us they didn’t have at least 7 or 8 Seafood items on the menus. The menu was already limited so we left. We went to Don’s in town. It was okay. Glad we ate in most night. Overall we would rent again because of pier and location.
