We had a great time @ Sandy Shores. With ages from 8 months to 65 years,our family felt quite comfortable. We liked being in the cul-de-sac because kids rode bikes & scooters with adults supervising. Found some new games to play in the well-stocked chest,too! It was a short golf cart ride to pool & the beach!

It was great how “Sandy Shores”was on a court away from some of the busier areas and had easier parking for 4 than other homes. Liked the large open floor plan of the home especially the large enclosed porch. The golf cart was great for us as well. Everything was in walkable distance such as the pool etc. Though the pool was smaller than I thought it was never really crowded when we went there despite somany homes all having access to it. We will go back but need a house with one more room to accommodate our growing family.

The home was wonderful - very comfortable, plenty of space, great seating for family meals, very organized and clean, comfy beds, and awesome outdoor space. The golf cart was also super nice compared to some golf carts we have had during prior stays at Beachwalk. We have ZERO complaints and will most likely stay here for future Beachwalk vacations!

The house is beautiful! This is our second year to stay there, and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We appreciated having the cart available, we enjoyed the roominess, and we loved eating on the front porch and having s’mores around the fire pit! It’s close to everything ( the outlet mall ❤️, dunes, apple orchard, beach). We hope to stay there again.

Sandy Shores is completely updated and very clean! The location was in a fantastic spot! We were on a cul-de-sac, so there wasn't a lot of traffic. And we were centrally located within the community making the pool and other attractions a short walk away. The included golf cart was a nice touch and there was a parking lot specifically for golf carts right across from the entrance to the Lake Michigan beach access.
The house was very well equipped with dishes, pots & pans and all sorts of other supplies. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the included linens! The towels were large, fluffy bath sheets. And the beds were already fully made with mattress pads, sheets, blankets and duvets. (Previously, we had stayed with another resort where linens were provided, but it only meant sheets and you had to put them on the bed yourself.)
We couldn't find much to do outside of the Beachwalk Resort, though we did enjoy an afternoon spent at the outlet mall. Michigan City is pretty run down and there are some very rough spots that we were kinda nervous to drive through.
Overall, we spent a ton of time at the house enjoying the fire pit, laying in the hammock, listening to the rain on the screened-in front porch and playing games around the large dining room table.
If I had to give one negative, it would be that the downstairs master bedroom was the only one with a television. We didn't spend much time watching TV, but we have one in our bedroom at home and it's how we like to wind down before falling asleep.

My family (5 people) attended a wedding at the Friendship Botanic Garden and this rental location was in close proximity. The Sandy Shores property description given was exactly as stated. All of the rooms were very nice, roomy and clean. The kitchen which also was large and roomy had all of the necessities you could want. They had a large array of games and books for different ages, including a play station with games. We were in close proximity (about 10 or 15) minutes away from a Walmart, grocery store and a strip with the many different restaurants and fast food eateries. Their customer service was always attentive in making sure our needs were met before and during our visit ! We definitely would recommend this property !

Excellent Access to amenities
Because of Covod we all needed to just get away. The house was lovely & very clean; great community; easy access to beach, pool, lake, courts, grocery. The only time we left the community was to go to the grocery. Everything we needed to keep our family (ages 2-72) entertained was in walking distance.

This property looked cute from the outside, but there were many odd quirks about it that made our stay less than perfect. The layout of the homes in this community are very close together, and even more so when you place the fire pit in the front yard of a house on a circle. There was no privacy for ANY conversations outdoors, and even indoor conversations could be heard if the windows were open- which they were until the barking of the neighbors dog kept me from getting to sleep on our first night. We also found the front door wide open (inside the screened porch) upon arrival and realized later it was likely because the door did not fit properly and would not stay closed unless it was locked. This was the case with several of the interior doors as well (and our bedroom door would not even lock because the door was so misaligned.) The most upsetting part of this homes "problems" was the level of cleanliness which started off on the wrong foot when we arrived and found the kitchen counters were sticky all over! Management responded quickly to send someone to the house to clean the counters. As our weekend progressed and we found that everyone had black feet after walking barefoot in the house we realized that the floors were not clean either. Overall, I was disappointed and would not recommend this house to a friend.

We were looking for a quick getaway for a few days close to our home. Beachwalk was exactly what we needed! Sandy shores is a beautiful with all the amenities. We housed our family of five and four other friends comfortably! We were comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out. Nice to have the three full bathrooms when we all needed to shower! The golf cat was an added plus! The only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! Maybe next year. Thank you for our great time! I would highly recommend staying here.
