The one day of rain! - But we found an excellent bookshop in St Andrews to while away some time (Topping)

A really lovely cottage in the very pretty village of Pittenweem. Great location, a few minutes walk to the harbour and the seafront. Pittenweem has everything you need for a short stay, two or three places to eat, a couple of lovely cafés and the village hub (local shop, post office and pharmacy). The cottage itself is beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a lovely garden which we very much appreciated as we were exceedingly lucky with the weather. We were able to park outside and Jo was a very helpful host. A great base for exploring the lovely East Neuk

The cottage is so much more beyond that front door. Lovely light and bright. Very tastefully decorated with very comfortable extension with direct access to garden area. Love the colour of the kitchen units.

I wasn’t so keen on the openness of the chimney area from the wood burner.

I cannot thank Jo and her team enough for a truly beautiful cottage. The location is fantastic, the cottage is finished to a very high standard. The thought that has gone into it is simply perfection. I loved the lighting ✨️ beautiful natural light throughout at different times of the day. We would love to stay again in the near future and possibly in the summer to really enjoy the beautiful private garden.

I couldn't really say we didn't like anything. Keep up the great work!

The cottage was a perfect base for us and our Manchester Terrier, everything was spotless and there was plenty of space too. Jo is a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble for her. Location-wise it’s a hidden gem, very quietly situated and just a couple of minutes walk downhill to the harbour.

Not being able to spend another night there!

I was surprised that there were no instructions, eg for setting the heating, the electric hob, washing up machine. OK, one can work these things out, but... . As a very experienced wood burning stove operator (40 years +), I was unable to get the fire going.

master bedroom is very small. bed is a double size - so many couples it would not work for!

The owner was fantastic at contacting us quickly and gave thoroughly, detailed information about the property and surroundings. The interior is stunning and we loved the beautiful outdoor space too.

Pittenweem is such a lovely village with a working harbour. Number 8 is an exceptionally comfortable cottage located in the centre of the village . The inside space is comfortable , cosy and well designed and the outside sitting space is equipped with garden furniture and is private .

Very clean and everything felt new and tasteful ! Very quiet location with lovely sun capturing garden! Master bedroom small with double bed! Washing machine only - no dryer! Don’t know how that works in the winter, but it was fine for us!! Highly recommend! 🙏

Very tastefully decorated with quality furnishings and facilities. Lovey comfortable beds and the added bonus of a log burner for chilly evenings. A very helpful host, quick to respond to any queries.

The cottage was very comfortable and the ‘costal’ decor was tasteful, bright, with a mix of modern and traditional that gave you an immediate sense of ‘seaside holiday. Very well equipped with everything we needed ( including an emergency Elastoplast for a blister) Location was absolutely ideal for walking the Fife Coastal path (hence the blister), visiting beautiful gardens, the other costal towns, The Secret Bunker, and eating out A perfect base for a ‘staycation’ to remember.

The entire place was super clean, beautifully decorated, modern and all amenities provided.

Everything was perfect!
