Located close to town and railway station and on a bus route

They expected us to check the email before we arrived, since it asked us to provide the deposit via email in last minutes in which was not common practice from the other airbnb. And it needed us to submit too many documents such as the proof of our residential address, personnel information, etc.

Cleanliness is impeccable. Amenities though without dyer. Easy check in and out. Location close to the train station. Quiet location.

On checkout, there is a statement on the document that say something like "every item in the house is counted and every lost item will be charged" - my personal opinion is, it's kind of tacky and expresses some kind of mistrust to whoever rents or stay in the accommodation. What if someone else took something and the current tenant will pay for it automatically? Sounds exactly not right. Bed is not as comfy with a flimsy frame you can hear it grating everytime you move.

Everything are good in this premise including location and facilities. The owner is very kind to provide all necessity including washing powder, plastic wrap, baking paper etc for cooking and laundry. Everything is clean and tidy. I will definitely stay again for my next visit in Peterborough.

The Wifi reception is quite poor, it would be much better if you can improve it.

The property was as pictured, they allowed us to check in early which was great. The property was clean and the neighborhood was quiet. All basic supplies were available. The location was close to town and all transportation.

The bathroom needed some hooks to hang towels. The bathtub was a little high for my husband and I so a non-slip may would have been helpful. Nice yard but no outside seating which was a shame as the weather was good.

Thorpe House is a quiet place, just fine for us.

Their “welcome” letter includes much too much lawyer language about their policy to require that some pay a 1,000 pound deposit for potential damage in case the renter has a damaging party on the premises. Even after we reassured the staff that we are a couple who have come from a long way away, the adversarial-toned notice kept coming up at the top of subsequent communications. I do recognize the need to state rules, because they help guests know what to do and what not to do. On the other hand, better hosts are able to communicate both rules and welcome at the same time. My advice is to eliminate the barristers from the “welcome” committee; it will be better to ask those trained in hospitality or even poetry to provide the welcome and inform guests of the rules.

The house was lovely and clean but it was so hot you couldn't open windows very much. No mirror on bedroom and no wardrobe in other bedroom.
