This 4 bedroom apartment is roomy and well-appointed. The screened in porch was a welcoming place to drink your first cup of coffee.

Karen and Kevin were very accommodating and helped us out when there was an electrical issue which Kevin quickly resolved. The location of the house was perfect. Based on the listing we thought it was a single home but it is actually 2 units, one on the first floor and one on the second. We were happy to be on the 2nd floor and loved the screened in porch. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and had a great time.

We try to get to Eagles Mere every fall. This rental was perfect for an extended family gathering of 10 people. Plenty of beds for everyone, an incredibly well-stocked kitchen, and the owners were most gracious and accommodating - they even brought us apples. Delightful people! 😁

The house was great! Lots of room and had everything that we could even imagine needing.

This stay was perfectly situated and very well-equipped! 1 minute walk to Outlet pond and conservancy trails - my toddler LOVED the new nature music trail. Short walk to town and having the locker at the beach to leave equipment was so convenient. The house had everything that we needed and the screened porch was our favorite place to sit and relax! Will definitely return!

This is the second time we stayed at this very clean, comfortable and well equipped home with our daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.
The owner, Karen goes out of her way to make sure all is well.
We are looking forward to returning again next year!

Nice big house beautiful location

Very spacious house ( we were in the space consisting of the second and third floor). There was plenty of room for two families. The Host was very accommodating. Even digging out 2 kayaks for us to borrow. The house was well apportioned, the best that I have ever stayed at. We didn't need to bring anything from home, except clothes. The location to World's End and Rickets Glen was perfect.

This historic location is great for walking to the beach or the Sweet Shop. Love that it was pet friendly to the point of providing dog dishes! Best stocked kitchen of any rental in Eagles Mere. Owners were nearby, accessible, and very helpful. Perfect for a group of 10 or less. Would be our first choice for return visit.

Lakeshore
The property was exactly what we wanted, good location, well stocked, pleasant hosts. However we did have some big problems with the toilets in two of the units. Owners were quick to respond, but had to call plumber. Felt bad to keep bothering them, but had to. The set up(we rented all three units) was perfect for our group. Thanks!

Everything's good at Lakeshore Eagles Mere!
The house (especially the kitchen) is wonderfully equipped
and in an excellent location close to the lake and the village center. Additional delights are the screened porch and a beautiful outside seating area with a barbeque and fireplace. The owner (Karen) is extremely helpful. What more can you want?

Clean, comfortable and well equipped home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The only glitch was a very temporary loss of water volume. The owner addressesd the issue immediately.
The location was perfect- a short walk to the center of the village, easy access for launching boats, and a very quiet neighborhood.
Eagles Mere is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the north central part of PA! The residents and shop owners are very friendly and eager to answer questions about the town.
My family loved staying here and we are all looking forward to returning next Summer.

This property was a nightmare for me and my family. We selected this setting because of location, availability and that it could accommodate 10 guests. The pictures suggested a well maintained setting with a homey feel. What we found was a setting that had multiple parties sharing the house (total of three parties) with the interior setting shabby, the dishwasher was gross inside and unusable , the place had an odor, the closets were jammed with items that left little room for us to use, the carpet was stained and the worst issue of all was the water. Throughout our stay the water was brown when it was running. Multiple times a day the water completely shut off (no running water for anything including flushing toilets and showering). We already switched to bottled water for oral hygiene and cooking. We called the owners multiple times. Someone came over three times to leave us jugs of water but they did not do anything to fix the issue. Apparently this issue had happened before and it was allegedly due to toilets running. The toilets were checked on two occasions. Ultimately we thought about leaving but did not have good alternative plans to go to. We rationed water, were told by the maintenance staff who stopped by on day 3 to take quick showers and had to coordination when to toilet and shower. Apparently this situation also occurred with the downstairs guests since they also called the proprietor. This setting significantly impacted our Thanksgiving experience as a family due to these deplorable conditions. I need to speak with someone about what recourse we have. Obviously we will not be returning to this setting and I am very concerned about VRBO as a booking agent for vacation spots if you folks endorsed this setting as one of your listings. I have pictures and would like to speak to someone from VRBO about what recourse we have.

Perfect Fall Getaway
Lovely property! Karen was so sweet and easy to get in contact with. Plenty of space for our 4 adult, 4 children group. Wish we had more than just the weekend to stay and enjoy the outdoor area-it's so peaceful. Only complaint (if I had to find one) would be that the upstairs full mattress was uncomfortable, but would probably be fine for kids. Truly a great place to stay for short or longer rentals!

Loved our Stay
The location, across from the outlet pond is ideal for easy access to the lake and trails of Eagle's Mere. The property is by the outlet stream, with its joyous rushing sounds. The ground are very nice, with grill and picnic tables, along with public benches in easy walking at the pond. The house was nicely furnished, with a much better equipped kitchen than most rentals, and touches inside that made it homey. The dog bowls, and dog-chew shaped rug they sat upon, made our pet clearly welcomed, not simply tolerated. Karen herself was friendly and helpful. The only down side we found was the very high mineral content water seemed to be too much for the softener system, but Karen very kindly provided bottled water. Overall, five stars!

Loved this cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and hope to return next summer. Hosts responded quickly when contacted, the cottage was extremely well-stocked, and the outdoor spaces were great. We spent much of our time on the lovely screened deck.

Great vacation home and location.
The house was ideal for us: very spacious (at one point we comfortably housed 8 people); extremely comfortable and well equipped -- the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms; a marvelous enclosed porch with a view of the outlet; convenient barbeque and outside patio with lovely garden and eating area; and, not least, wonderfully located - close to the beach, Laurel Path and within walking distance of the village center.
(One suggestion: it would be helpful to note in the listing that the house in on the second floor. Some people may have difficulty carrying luggage and equipment up the stairs.)

Everything was wonderful. We would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed our stay. It was nice having everything there for us when we arrived. It was great being close to the lake and having chairs at the lake so we didn’t have to bring them with us. Great place to stay!

Long holiday weekend/hiking
Our family (7 adults and 2 children) stayed at the property over a long holiday weekend. Booking and communication with owners/managers was very responsive & the exterior is very well maintained and has ample patio/porch furniture even for large groups. The interior was very clean and VERY well stocked for our group. Our whole group would recommend the property again. Note it is located in the upper portion of a house so stairs/steps are required for guests. Our group hiked at Ricketts Glen and it was an easy drive from the Eagles Mere property.

Wonderful family getaway location!
My family had the best time at this house in Eagles Mere. The house was clean and well furnished. We really enjoyed using the family canoe in the pond across the street. The hiking trails being across the street as well, so there was lots to do. The kids enjoyed being able to walk down to the stores for books and a milkshake. We loved it. Only downside was it is on well water and we had to bring in bottled water to drink and cook.

The layout of the rental property was perfect for our group of 9. The common area was large enough for us to spread out, and the separate bedrooms and third floor provided privacy. For part of the time, there was another group staying on the first floor, but we never heard them. The owners stopped by at one point and spoke with some members of our group who were outside at the time. They were friendly and eager to be helpful if needed. The property was well-stocked and so convenient to the lake and the town. The patio and porches are lovely, and I imagine that they're enjoyable in the summer. I do wish that we had known about the high iron content in the water before we arrived. A Brita filtered pitcher was provided; we used that but also bought some bottled water. I advise bringing plenty of it when you stay at Lakeshore. I think the steepness of the steps to the third floor might make it difficult for some people to gain access to it. Keep that in mind when you're considering fitting your group to the layout.

Family get together.
Very accomodating owners. Besides second and third floors, we had access to the apartment on the first floor. Lovely walking paths across the street and cute shops in "town". Good weather so we took advantage of their porches.

Fall family reunion/vacation
We felt at home here. More than adequate for 7 adults + 5 children (to 6 yrs). Well stocked kitchen with everything we needed and more. Enjoyed relaxing on patio and mountain pies at the fire pit.
Owners (Kevin and Karen) were close by, available and accomodating.
This is a great location to be outdoors. Enjoyed wildlife and bird watching (Bald Eagle routinely at the lake) on local trails and beach (walking distance). We also hiked at Worlds End and Ricketts Glen State Parks. Kids really like visit to an Alpaca farm.
I am looking for an opportunity for another visit.

A much needed change of scenery
Last minute rental due to COVID. We were grateful to find a place on such short notice. The apartment we rented on the top floor was huge and wonderfully equipped. The house is pretty far away from stores which is great except that it would have been helpful to know to bring bottled water. An important consideration if you are sensitive to the aesthetics of well water. Loved the easy access to the outlet pond which allows kayaking access to the main lake. If you are looking for a place for lots of quiet and few distractions the location is serene. Check out nearby Worlds End State Park.

Great getaway
We had such a great time here! The apartment fit 2 families (4 adults and 5 kids) perfectly. The kids' dubbed the upstairs "kids world" -- 2 bedrooms and a hangout area. We also loved the patio with a grill and a fire pit. The beach is a short (5 min) drive away (or bike ride or hike), the ice cream shop is a 10 min walk, and hiking paths are literally across the street. And for those of us who unfortunately needed to balance vacation with work, the internet did not go out.

Nice getaway
Karen was very accommodating and made us feel so welcome. The house is nicely situated to downtown Eagle's Mere (a short walk away), trails across the street in the conservancy, and Ricketts Glen and Worlds End State Parks. We enjoyed many good hikes out and about, and had a relaxing time at home eating outside on the patio. A great little getaway.

Eagles Mere is amazing
We had a great time at the house. Eagles Mere is a beautiful little vacation town in the middle of seemingly nowhere. 165 fee to the Eagles Mere Association and access to the beautiful beach, trails and lake. Was perfect for family with kids aged 2-14. The host's boats were a particular hit, launching from the outlet pond across the street from the house and then rowing to the beach. Beautiful state park- Worlds End, with great hiking, was 5 minutes away.
Host was super attentive, and a pleasure to work with. There was some issue with the water in the home, but we were told the plumber would be coming to fix.

Family COVID Vaca
This was an amazing week! Fantastic location, close to trails, close to town, close to lake! Easy drive to Worlds End & Rickett’s Glen. Only negative is that home description said AC instead of bedroom AC units. Normal weather for location would have been perfect but heat wave made family areas overheat. Other than that, home & location were exactly as described. Met owner on check in as well as called to discus week night before check out. Great WiFi allowed my son & son in law to work from home all week too.
