bathroom needs exhaust fan , getting to the door was walking through mud and my partner slipped and fell on stone pavers and hurt himself , suggest a pebble path would be better then wet slippery grass and sleeper steps . and the stone pavers need a good pressure wash so not slippery when wet .

Solo living at the barn. Not sharing.

Received key box code that afternoon, sounds OK. Arrived late evening, no light. In complete darkness, unable to find the key box. Text and call mobile number no reply. END UP STAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE FIRST NIGHT. Found the key on the following morning myself. No call back from staff. Staying the whole week at the Barn, good kitchen, good bedroom on loft style, appeared no laundry. Only 1 retro style bathroom downstairs. Shower is like 30 years old. Clean but old. Not just classic. Basin very low but bathroom mirror fairly high. Can see upper part of face. Luckily there is a small make up mirror on table. Beware may run out of hot water if 2 people shower one after the other. Better wait for half an hour in berween to ensure enough hot water supply. Lucky there is a small table make up mirror. Tried to leave outside light on complete dark nights but end up being complained and advised to switch off. Have to use hand torch to go in and out at night like camping. Main house on site is very pretty. Evening with lots of insect bites and an Aeroguard was provided. Thanks for the kindness.

Great location in a lovely street, beautiful grounds.

The shower water was not hot on the second morning of the stay. Bathroom seemed a bit tired and in need of a refresh/modernization in line with the rest of the property.

Privacy, the shiplap interior and kitschy pieces adding to the whole romantic country barn feel, full kitchen and air con.

The bed was too soft for our liking. Our arrival was scheduled in the dark and rain, an outside light on would have helped with locating the entrance and key a little easier.

The heating was inadequate . Because of the design of the building . The top of the Barn was very hot . The ground floor was very cold. It had full kitchen and the tiniest table to eat at. The long list of rules and regulations was intimidating. In spite of paying $180 cleaning fee we were warned that if we failed to leave the place tidy we would be fined. Unfortunately there was no mop and no broom. There was a dustpan and brush.

This was a lovely hideway and perfect for a couple.

The property needs some minor changes, the bathroom needs to be updated, a small heater placed downstairs and some personal toiletries for guests.
