This was our third annual stay in Carlton Landing and this house was perfect for my husband and I along with our grown daughters and their families. We had 6 adults and 5 children ranging in age from 2 years to 8. The kids loved the bunk room and each couple had their own bedroom. There was plenty of common area for everyone to enjoy without feeling crowded. We will be back again!

The only complaint we have is no where to hang clothes in the master room but we understand that the owners need a space to store their things. It was the perfect getaway. But next time, we will understand we will need to book a golf cart before showing up as they were sold out the whole time we were there. We will come again!

Great space for a large group. Easy check-In and Check-out. Perfect kitchen to host big meals. Close walk to everything around the community. Very clean!

This was our second stay at the property. Great stay! My only comment would be that if you are staying for 6 nights, it would be nice to have a little more supply of toilet paper, paper towels and shampoo/conditioner. The property is awesome and very comfortable!

NorthFork, the house we stayed had the perfect layout for our stay and ample room for our needs. The furnishings/decor was tasteful/inviting and yet still family friendly. I was grateful for the Xmas decor as it can be tricky to have Xmas away from home. The neighborhood is uniquely planned and all the area housing seemed reminiscent of the East Coast (Cape Cod maybe- in my mind). I enjoyed walking around a neighborhood that’s filled with so much beauty and charm. Kid friendly, exercise friendly and outdoor activities are plentiful. Nice to have local restaurants/cafe within walking distance. We missed out on the seasonal airstream food trucks and pop up shops, farmers market but thought the concept was brilliant for this “off the beaten path “ community. The various neighborhood pools, parks, boating options and beach area would be great to enjoy as well. We look forward to going back again and again. It was truly an unexpected lovely place to stay!

We had a fantastic stay in Carlton Landing. The property was top notch. We cooked all our meals in and had everything we needed. After leaving we realized we left two items and the manafement was amazing to respond and offer to get everything shipped to us. Truly above and beyond. We can’t wait to return.

It was comfortable and clean and was in a very convenient area close to pools and other activities. The only complaint we have is that the ac kept getting turned up and we like to keep it pretty low, so that was kind of annoying and since we paid very well to be there, I feel we should have control over that. Over all, very nice home and fun experience. We also couldn't get into the house because our code wouldn't work. We called the number and no one answered. A guy finally helped us but there needs to be an emergency number that someone will answer at all times in case a renter has an emergency.

Toys and games for our kids, more elbow room in kitchen and common areas than we’d hoped, very well stocked with kitchen equipment, yet still had plenty of empty storage spaces for our own boatload of food and supplies! House had starter amounts of paper supplies, dish soap, and shampoo and tiny soaps in every in every bath room, which was very helpful (for a week’s stay for 12, of course, we bought much more!). Loved having laundry room mud room area for storage of shoes and stuff! Huge washing machine was terrific! Loved the location in the very friendly neighborhood and our sheltered suburban kids had a ton of freedom! Highlights were renting pontoon boat with the wonderful Jacob as our guide and captain! Highlight was renting golf carts for the week and driving all over looking at pretty houses AND touring open houses. Highlight was pizza from Mama Tigg’s. Kids loved the swimming pool and the new larger one (not open yet) looks great! Kids loved playing ping pong, bocce ball and corn toss and fishing off the dock! Kids loved feeding the chickens from the greens that a local woman told us were planted in the garden for the chickens. Highlight was the fabulous landscaping and flowers and shrubs! Scenic overlook provided terrific photo op! Highlight was hanging out on all those wonderful porches!
Suggestions: Guests should bring extra kitchen linen — our crew cooked many meals and made lots of dirty dishes! The NORTHFORK house needs LOTS more towel bars and hooks in every bathroom (and in kitchen) to manage drippy wet stuff and protect your beautiful surfaces! We brought clothesline rope but could never find a suitable place to hang the rope for our kitchen towels, bath towels, and beach towels and swim suits for 12 people! So we had to hang on porch railings! You had plenty of those! When phoning Guest Services we found NO prompt for Renter making it challengin

When my uncle was diagnosed with ALS, our extended family decided we needed to celebrate life. Cousins from Mississippi, Texas, and Okllahoma who hadn’t seen each other in 20 years met at the beautiful North Fork Cottage. The house was the perfect place to meet. It had several areas for visiting including the beautiful porch, a large dining room table and the living room. We cooked our own meals and found the house well equipped with everything we needed. We had not been to Carlton Landing and were surprised by this beautiful oasis of homes and community. I would definitely recommend a special vacation at Carlton Landing. The only disappointment was that the WiFi / internet didn’t work the whole weekend. Other than that—-spectacular!
