We had a relaxing time

Exumas is amazing! Highland House delivered as promised. Very comfortable house to hang out at inside as well as outside. Coffee on deck in morning then 1 minute walk to the most gorgeous beach. Outdoor shower added to the great experience. Terrelle was very responsive to our 2 issues which he resolved. Highland House may just be our best find! Book it you’ll be happy you did.

Was a nice quiet stay at the highland house. Terrell our house manager was more then accommodating with any issues or concerns we had through out the trip. He was a great resource and was always available when we needed him. Exuma is a great island with great people.

Great property if you are looking for an awesome private beach with blue water and white sands close to the airport and Georgetown. Terrell

Great property centrally located on a fantastic beach! We had a great time exploring both Great Exuma and Little Exuma. If you’re headed to the island, you have to check out Tropic of Cancer Beach, Hooper Bay, Jolly Hall, Pretty Molly Bay, and Forbes Hill. Rent a boat or book an excursion to explore Stocking Island and the sandbar. So many beautiful beaches to visit, it’s hard to fit them all into one vacation.

Our family had such a great time at this beach house. It had everything we needed and more! This was our first time to Exuma and we are already planning our return trip. Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

Property exactly as pictured & walk to the amazing beach… 2 minutes. We refer to it as our backyard Terrelle, the property onsite mgr is attentive, responsive & goes above & beyond- and very brave, he heroically & humanely manually moved a developing wasp nest that was on our outside drying line House has everything you need & more. The outdoor shower for washing off salt & sand is wonderful. Great shower head & pressure. The full house generator was a YES to me when looking for a house rental. Thank you property owners for buying the best

So grateful for our 10 day stay at The Highland House. Perfect central location on the island close to groceries, fuel, the airport and beaches. Literally every amenity to make you feel at home; especially in the kitchen. Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, towels and the most perfect white sand beach 30 steps away. Perfection in every way. Thank you for an amazing family trip. We will be back!

Wonderful unique place!!

INCREDIBLE LOCATION. Jimmy Hill beach is in the center of all good beaches. The house is a few steps from the water, house is super clean and unique. It has everything u need to Cook. We bought groceries and cooked everyday. Eugene is a jewel, great communication! Eugene recommend to rent a car from his friend Paul and his car was so Helpful. Paul also took great care of us! Exuma is unbelievable. We will come back!

We loved our stay. Eugene and Terelle were great and very responsive and attentive to our needs and requests. The house is located on a beautiful beach, it is well equipped beach cottage. Very pleasant stay! Thank you!!

Easy access to beach, which is like having a private one. I would get e rental car so you can travel for groceries and other fun venues. I would stay again.

Highland House is a lovely house located a 2 min walk to the beach. It is beautifully decorated with many thoughtful touches such as a wide variety of books, board games, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. Terrelle the house manager is extremely responsive, responding to any questions or concerns within minutes. We were concerned that the proximity to the airport may be disturbing but we did not notice any noise as there a very few flights coming and going. In fact the house is very centrally located allowing you easy access to all areas of the island, especially Georgetown for groceries. We would definitely recommend this property and hope to visit again soon.

We were extremely pleased and enjoyed every moment of our 12 night stay at this wonderful charming property. Highland House was exactly as described and pictured. A lot of time and effort has been put into the decoration and creating a lovely Caribbean vibe. The house had everything we needed including a great kitchen, utensils, great air conditioning throughout the house , beach chairs and swim accessories, which were very helpful for both at the property and to take with us to other beaches. There is a nice ocean-view from the deck….but even better…..it is less than a 60 second walk down to the amazing 3 mile long Jimmy Hill beach with the most perfect beautiful ever changing aqua blue water I’ve ever seen. It was perfect for morning and daily swimming, sometimes very calm and other times a few waves, a bit windy but very swimmable. We explored the entire island and went to all the best beaches. Each one usually better than the other but ultimately the most convenient and relaxing was the one right out front which is exactly what we wanted. We went in Aug, the low season so virtually had everything on the island to ourselves, which was fine with us. If Highland House is available during your dates of travel don’t hesitate and book ASAP as I believe it is the best priced House with every amenity right next to the beach. Put it this way, the houses 200 feet across on the beach average $400 to $500 more a night, So just off the beach Was a fabulous saving. We met others who are paying the same or more to stay in hotel rooms in Georgetown where the beaches are not as nice. The owner Eugene was very responsive and helpful as well as the property manager Terrelle Who was always on hand and available if we need him but I must say because everything was just so good…. We really didn’t need to bother him. Exuma is beautiful and very laid back island. It’s really a place for going to the beach and just relaxing. There’s not a lot of other things to do, few restaurants really not a nightlife island, which was fine for our family. We did the fish fry and Santana's in little Exuma but mostly we cooked/bbq at the house most nights. Do… rent a car. Do… Rent a boat for the day at Minns Marina. So much fun exploring Elizabeth harbor and the sand bar. Don’t pass this up….Book this house now……you won’t be disappointed. We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed our stay here immensely and will be back!

Both the owner and property caretaker were easy to get ahold of when needed and extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay!

The house looks exactly as advertised. It’s beautifully decorated and steps from the beach. It’s close proximity to the airport makes it an ideal location. The owner was super helpful when we were concerned about flight changes and always responded to questions right away. A couple small things we did not like was that the house is very dark especially in the bathrooms which made it hard to see (some lights did not work at all). The tv also did not work as it was mostly static but it was not a big deal to us since we were there for the beach and not to watch tv! We wished things worked better but what do you expect from a tiny island! Nothing deterred is from wanting to go back! We were super grateful for the provided beach chairs & umbrellas! Overall, it is a very nice house to go back to after a long day exploring the island. If you are simple people like us… you will enjoy it!

We enjoyed our stay and I thought it was a nice quiet place. Terrell is a great guy. He actually came and got us at the Airport because our flight was delayed and we missed out on getting our car. He brought us water and he offered to take us back to get our car. He was very kind.

Nice location on a world class beach with very few people, often empty. Everything is there except a blender for your favorite tropical drink, although we had to run the dishwasher every day because there is only enough silverware for one dinner for 5. Same with beach towels, just the minimum. Aside from these small easy to fix items, an authentic home with really creative interior and a great stove and grill for cooking at home. Loved the deck. A bag of ice, dish soap and laundry detergent was provided, a nice touch. A rental car is highly recommended for this location.

Highland House is located less than 5 min. to airport and 1 min. walk to beach- beautiful views and well appointed home. We had a great time on the beach, cooking/grilling, and hanging out at Highland House. Terelle was attentive and fantastic, and even shared some fresh coconut water with us from the trees on the property. Wi-Fi was intermittent at times, usually at night, but not enough to cause any issues. We enjoyed our stay very much at Highland House.

A nice week in an okay house (a bit tattered), air conditioning worked well. House needs much better lighting and kitchen equipment/tools for cooking. Towels were smallish. Terrelle the caretaker was helpful, and we had Gwendolin. a housekeeper, come in an extra day---she was good. If there is no sun, there are lots of mosquitos---repellant helpful. We would prefer to pay more and have a better house with good equipment.

Love highland house! Location is close to airport and situated steps from gorgeous Jimmy Hill beach ( about a 1 minute walk) the house is in a small Group but it felt private and was very quiet. Terrell the property manager was awesome and very helpful and responsive to our questions. The house itself is as described in the listing With plenty of storage and room for 2 couples . The were boogie boards and beach chairs / umbrellas to take to the beach which was much appreciated. There was also a cooler .The new deck was great and had enough room for all four of us ,the only slight downside was there was no shade on the deck itself which limited our enjoyment of it a bit at times due to the wonderful Bahamian sun. The AC was efficient and kept us cool when inside . Plenty of parking is available. Would definitely recommend staying here !

Great stay!

My husband, I and another couple stayed at the Highland House in Moss Town. Perfect location for privacy and a beautiful beach, but close to airport and all activities. The house is perfect for two couples. We were able to cook our meals when we wanted and the kitchen was well supplied along with beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards. We did make a few suggestions to the owners and they were very receptive. They are also very responsive to any inquires or needs you may have and the house attendant Terrell is awesome and always available. We would highly recommend this house. Highland House is a beautifully decorated home in a wonderful location. Very conveniently located near the airport and on a gorgeous stretch of Jimmy Hill Beach you cannot go wrong with this rental. The property caretaker and the owner are both very kind and communicative. They go out of the way to ensure you have what you need to enjoy every moment of your stay. Although the house is not direct beach front you still can see the ocean from the deck and the walk to the beach is short and easy even while carrying your gear. The house has everything needed to cook and was loaded with beach chairs umbrellas and even boogie boards. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!

The property is just as nice as the pictures! Located right by the airport and mid-island, it was easy to get around. Jimmy Hill beach is by far the most beautiful beach ever!! Just a short walk, they have beach chairs and umbrellas available to use. It is a quiet beach, felt safe, and very few people. The island is beautiful, but be warned, because its an island, food is expensive! That won't keep us from returning soon! The water and sand are the most beautiful we have ever seen. Can't wait to return. The owners were very responsive to questions and great to work with. Can't wait to return.

This highland house is so charming and beautiful. I enjoyed this place so much. The beach is close by in walking distance. Terrelle the house keeper was so helpful. The space was clean. They are even still making improvements but it is already really nice. Highly recommended.
