The Pio XII is an old hotel (like many others in Spain) that has been extensively modernised (but is still, obviously, an older hotel). But it was very clean , perfectly comfortable and very good value - especially the enclosed parking for which one often has to pay (a lot) more in Spain. Well located - easy to reach by car, but within walking distance of the centre.

Bed and bedding were distinctly old-fashioned (but we slept ok).

We were upgraded at no extra cost to a larger room with a few chairs and a fridge. The double bed was larger than average and was very comfortable. The man at the reception desk when we arrived was very helpful, telling us the best places to eat and drink. Just a few meters around the corner from the hotel is bar Chiki, which does excellent tapas at very low prices.

The area is quite run down with lots of rubbish across the road from the hotel.

There was a family on the floor above who were allowing the children to scrape the chairs along the floor, making an awful noise from 9pm till 11pm. . I eventually went to complain at reception. It stopped about half an hour later.

Big room very clean. Bathroom with choice bath with a shower or separate shower.

This is our second stay here and we enjoyed returning. Very helpful and friendly staff, easy free parking across the street and a spacious and comfortable room complete with king size bed, great bath and small fridge.

Internet quality is variable.

Spacious room, very clean and quiet. Good location for walking. Close to everything.
