It is a nice place in a subdivision a few miles out of Bayfield. Quiet neighborhood. Deer, chipmunks and wild turkeys were our only visitors. There is a strip of lawn that the deer bed down on the afternoons. Pretty good entertainment area, too. If there is an off-season coming up this winter we would encourage Jason and a work crew to lay down new flooring in the kitchen, put in new pet and kids proof carpeting in the living room, too. Plus that roof lighting tube in the master closet needs big time cleaning out. Sharp kitchen knives for future visitors will be welcomed as well, I bet. Otherwise, he has a "winner".

This is a lovely property in a subdivision in the country. Surrounded by pine trees, it is private and quiet. We slept with the windows open every night, grilled and ate dinner on the deck, and enjoyed the deer that visited in the mornings. The house is well-stocked and clean, with comfortable beds and a great media room. Jason is a caring and attentive host. We definitely would stay here again.

This home was wonderful for our 7 adults and 2 toddlers! The host was quick to respond to all our questions, and the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, small appliances, pots/pans, etc. Loved staying here!

We really enjoyed this beautiful home in a quiet area! There were wild turkeys and deer to enjoy. We even had the experience of hand feeding some veggies to a local deer who decided to visit us each morning on the front deck. A short, scenic drive to Durango for us to hop the train and take an awesome rail ride down to Silverton. If you have a large group traveling together, this place can be perfect!

We arrived to a beautiful, clean, spacious home and were welcomed by the scenic views of the previous day’s snow storm. We appreciated Jason having the driveway and walkway plowed and accessible, making our unpacking process go quickly. The home was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the game room, the large kitchen and the dining room was large enough to accommodate our large family for all meals. We kept all blinds open during our stay because the deer were in the area and we’re peaceful to watch. Due to the previous day’s snow storm the internet was unavailable, so we took that opportunity to enjoy an evening of board games, dominoes and cards. Basically, staying unplugged was nice for a change. Jason texted to check in on us regularly due to the inclement weather making us feel welcomed and like we had a friend in the area if we needed anything. We look forward to booking this home again in the future and Thank You again for making our New Year’s vacation getaway one to remember.

The home was beyond beautiful! Very spacious, amazing movie room had EVERYTHING you can possible need! The hospitality from our host was outstanding definitely worth every penny! We will most certainly be back!

This house is exactly as described. Very cozy. There was plenty of room for our party of 8. Jason was amazing and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed.

Our family really enjoyed staying at this lovely property. The house was roomy and very comfortable for the 6 of us--4 adults and two tweens. Bedroooms and bathrooms were great--the little girl's room was delightful and our 11 year old granddaughter was in heaven! The kids really enjoyed the large screen tv room and we watched family movies both nights we were there. The kitchen is large enough for several people to work in at a time and it is very well stocked with supplies and equipment. Jason, our host, was very responsive and gracious. He was able to fill a special request which really helped us out. Thanks for making our trip memorable.

Had a lovely time staying in this spacious home with my family and my sister's family. We had plenty of room to spread out & the 3 bathrooms for 7 people was perfect! Definitely the best VRBO I've stayed in so far & would definitely go back.

This was the perfect place for our family to gather. The home is located in the woods and it is so peaceful. We had daily visits from wild turkeys, a doe and her 2 fawns, and a nice big buck deer. The kitchen is large and fully stocked. Plenty of room for a large group. We would definitely return! Jason was so good to work with. He answered any questions we had and stocked the freezer with yummy ice cream treats for us when we arrived.

Great place to stay if you want to get away from it all. It was a short drive to Durango or Pagosa Springs if you want some "city" life, but if you want a quiet and peaceful vacation spot, then this is it.

My family of 9 had the best time here. Jason was such a gracious and friendly host. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time and answered every question I had with a quick response time. Thanks to Jason, my son and grandaughter got to experience fishing for the first time! The house was perfect for all of us. Nice deck to sit and watch the deer. Super nice and clean. The house was also equipped with everything we needed as far as cleaning, bathing and cooking. Durango is a short, beautiful 25-30 min drive away. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed!!

We stayed here last year and enjoyed it. So, we stayed here this time and enjoyed it even more. It's a quiet, comfortable place to relax; a great place to host family get togethers; and a good home base for exploring area lakes and other attractions.

We were hesitant at first since this was our first time using Vrbo, but the house was described and pictured just like it is. Actually, the reality was even better than the description. The house had everything we needed to (and more), it was comfortable, clean and very spacious. Comminicaiton with Jason, the homeowner, was so good too, right from the start! He was very accommodating and wanted to help make our Christmas stay something so wonderful and he did. He even set up a tree for us, had treats for our kids and a train to set up too. He also made sure we were fine during our stay and even escorted us out since these Texans are not used to driving in the snow. I can't thank him enough for being so sweet and checking on us even after we left. I HIGHLY recommend this property! Great location! Close grocery store too. Quaint and quiet but room to play in the snow and even sled in the front yard. We had a blast!

We really enjoyed staying here with our family. The house was on a beautiful hill tucked in the pines and had plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the movie room and seeing deer right out in front of the house. Beautiful spot.

This property was everything we hoped for and more. Jason and his wife have this place setup to definitely make you feel at home. This house is tucked back in tall mature pines giving this property the feel of not having anyone close by. There was something for everyone, my boys could not get enough of the theater room and my twin girls loved running around in the woods. My wife and I enjoyed the deck in the mornings for coffee and at night to star watch since there was very little to no light pollution, what a great sight! We were about a 30 min (scenic) drive to Durango, 45 min drive to the Cascade Canyon Express and 45min.-1hr to Purgatory Resort. My kids and wife absolutely loved this place and we will fore sure be back. Thank you for everything.

We greatly enjoyed this rental. The house was beautiful, the area very very nice, and the owner very good. He went out of his way to take care of us and we really enjoyed our time here. If you're anywhere in this area rent this house!
