The Parakeet cottage # 6 provided all the essentials for a quick get away to decompress for myself and the hubby. Providing bikes and beach carts is genius!

My husband and I booked this property very last minute. In preparation for the one-night stay, I was reading all of the reviews I could find online and ran across one from just one month previous, which was very negative. I emailed the property manager with my concern and she responded immediately. The small, efficiency cottage was just what we needed for our brief stay. We used the bicycles provided to explore the entire island, biking 25 miles total. This is perfect for an island getaway where you spend most of your time outdoors. My only feedback would be that the bed wasn’t very comfortable. We would not have been happy spending more than one night in it, but…we are also spoiled by our Tempur-pedic mattress at home. Everything was clean and we walked to breakfast at the Lighthouse Cafe in the morning.

Clean house, close walk to the beach. What would have made it great would be to replace the dresser with a couch. No where comfortable to sit. And a few more dishes in kitchen would be nice. But overall good experience

This was just a quick weekend with some friends but I am already planning my next trip. The location is perfect. The Bikes, Chairs and other beach amenities were great to have and in amazing condition. The property management company is easy to work with and very responsive to questions. This is a great little cottage getaway.

This place was just right for my husband and I to visit Sanibel. Quiet area. Had everything we needed in the cottage, and the bikes were just perfect to ride all over the island

This cottage is adorable. Exactly how the pics portray it. Small, tastefully decorated, kitchen stocked for 2, comfortable bed, all we needed for our stay! We chose this to be close to our kids staying in a beachside condo. It was in walking distance to them, the beach, lighthouse cafe(great breakfasts). Great find, would highly recommend!

Lovely little location and property. Just as the listing posted. Perfect for us! We didn’t drive the car once for the 3 days we were there. So convenient to ride bikes( provided on property) everywhere we went.

Sanibel is an amazing vacation location. I loved the location of the cottage and that bikes were included. We rode all over the island. We had a question when we arrived, and the host immediately got back to us. Great experience!

30th Anniversary getaway was awesome. We arrived to a clean room, ready to receive us. The Parakeet Suite (cottage #6) was perfect for us. It was quaint but had plenty of room. The Sanibel location was close to great eateries, ice cream, and the beach. It was only a short 5 minute drive to other great restaurants of all types. Sanibel Island’s residents and shop keepers are friendly and were glad to help us with our questions about what to see or where to eat. We’ll be back.

A nice, quiet, efficiency cottage in a great location.

This was a very nice cottage for 2 people. There were bikes, beach chairs and beach umbrellas for you to use for free. It was only a short walk to Lighthouse Beach. Would definitely stay here again. I didn’t want to leave.

Pros: Small, quant, stand alone cottage, comfortable bed, strong hot water pressure shower, large refrigerator, quiet complex, owner very responsive to issues, nice A/C. Cons: No WIFI, very outdated tiny, tiny bathroom, small tv unable to see from bed, no ice maker, sand ants in kitchen, toiletries limited, dirty dishes in kitchen. No local access to beach. If you only need a great shower and bed, this is the place for you. I was looking for higher end accommodations. We would not rebook this cottage.

My husband and I had the best time in Sanibel! This little cottage/condo was in a great location. Just a short walk or bike ride to the beach right across the street! Very quiet and clean. We will be coming back!

The knock at the door from the exterminator 2 hrs after we were texted that are room was ready was a bit off putting, no bugs, needs a recycling bin, bathroom was tiny . It was a quiet place and a quick walk to the beach

I looked up on vrbo Pensacola Beach rentals and this Is what came up. I booked and thought everything was good to go, sadly this is not the case. I lost hundreds of dollars by booking this as it's non-refundable. The management company was nice and said she would get back to me to see if there was anything she could do, but received no reply. I paid alot for this to be listed in the wrong place by vrbo, and didn't even get to stay here as it was too far down south, Renter beware.

We had a great time. The cottage was just what we needed and in a great location. Will definitely be back in the area again

Fantastic property, great location, Cute cottages with everything you needed, cold air conditioning. The bikes included made the trip that much more fun. Walking distance from the beach, ice cream parlor, and breakfast cafe. This trip was absolutely fantastic and I am so glad I found this location. We cannot wait to return!

The cottage was very clean, private, quiet area, access to the nice beach was a very short walk, Lighthouse Cafe restaurant next door was awesome. Communication with Mgr. Kim was exceptional. We really appreciated being called to enjoy the cottage 4 hours earlier than the 4pm check-in!!!

The property was beautiful and exactly like the pictures and descriptions. Had a lot of bikes to use. Nice and close to the beach. Perfect getaway!

The cottage was nice and cozy and perfect for a short stay. We definitely felt like we had our own private little oasis. Much appreciated the bikes, grill, beach chairs, and other amenities provided.

We took the bikes down to the beach which is only 3 minutes. A little ice cream at the corner shop and breakfast at the cafe’. Also located at the corner. They boaSt the best breakfast in the world and they did not disappoint. Kim and her team are extremely accommodating. Will chose them again!! Thanks kim.

It was a great little space with easy access to the beach. The check in process was super easy. The cottage itself was exactly as described. It was very clean and mostly updated inside. The bikes, umbrellas, beach chairs, and wagons that were provided we’re very useful. It’s nice to be on the east end of Sanibel too, a little less traffic flow.
