It was like being on a private island as Sanibel is rebuilding after Hurricane Ian. The house is perfect for families. Very clean. Would suggest adding another TV, more hooks for towels, and window coverings for bedroom and bathroom. Otherwise...perfect!

After the hurricane there is a lot of repairs still ongoing. We didn't have curtains in the bedrooms, whilst having construction workers outside our windows being able to peak in. We didn't feel like we had much privacy in that regard. Expect to be up early as the workers start around 8a with the chainsaws and heavy catapillar equipment running. At the end of the day we really didn't mind and understand they are a community rebuilding so what can you expect. The price point was right for our group and the essentials were there for us to have a great trip! Thank you for having us.

This was a great location for us within just a few minutes of the causeway and a few minutes drive to Jerry's and other island eateries and essentials. A 12 minute walk to the beach made much easier with the cart we could use for putting beach chairs in (also provided by the property) as well as other beach essentials. Billy's Rentals was a short drive away where we hired bikes and spent the day at the Lighthouse Beach and an evening at the fabulous Mudbugs. The house felt very authentic for the tropical location being nestled amongst the trees and surrounded by iguanas. We also saw turtles, iguanas and a baby alligator in the pond (although no mama alligator much to my son's disappointment!). The shared pool with other properties at the location was very popular with our children for an afternoon dip after a day at the beach.

Great house with plenty of room. We only had a small fam of 3 (other fam couldn't make it) and it was spacious. Perfect location too. Centrally located to all things. Had the best time!

We loved the house, pool, location, and layed back life style of Sanibel. One suggestion would be to clean the air filter or put a new one in as it was really dirty and we found ourselves coughing a lot. Everything else was perfect

Great from start to finish

Great pale to stay. Lots of lizards, birds and trees to make you feel away from the hustle and bustle of life. Great location close to restaurants, shopping, and beach access. Has a clean pool on site.

We came down with our single daughter & son, wife & 2 kids. Plenty of room, sufficient kitchen & great having pool right out the front door. Really enjoyed the screened in porch. Location is great! My only issue was if you plan to cook you need to bring EVERYTHING you need. Great cooking equipment but all that was provided was salt & pepper. We get it, just would have been nice to know.

Large home that was great for our family. Walking distance to beach and we loved the shared pool. When we arrived there was a nice big umbrella that gave much needed shade at the pool. Toward the end of our stay, the umbrella was missing and we learned it belonged to a homeowner and they left for the season and they took it back. Hopefully, the homeowners association will buy an umbrella for the pool. The home was supplied with everything needed for the beach including a beachwagon, towels and toys. There was new furniture in the bedrooms and some was delivered during our stay for the screened in porch. The management responded quickly to issues we had with housekeeping and plumbing problems. Our first day there was a foul smell outside from a nearby wastewater treatment plant. This smell came and went depending on the wind direction but was noticeable only a few days of our month stay.

Great home in a great location surrounded by great beaches and restaurants. Need I say more?

This is the perfect place for family with bedrooms at each end of the house providing plenty of space and privacy for son, daughter in law with new baby and the my husband and I at other end with our daughter in 2 bedrooms. Full kitchen allowed us to make Thanksgiving dinner. Huge back yard patio nice for evenings and review of shelling for the day.

The location of this property was perfect! The pool was clean and refreshing after a long day at the beach. I was disappointed at the property managers response when I arrived at the house with groceries and the refrigerator wasn’t working. Not to mention no one came to fix it. They could do more to improve the overall cleanliness of the house.

We loved the ease of getting around the island. Great beaches just minutes away. Lots of wildlife. The pool was fantastic place to relax after fantastic shelling at the beach. We are already talking about next time!!!

We enjoyed our time at O Sole Mio. The property was exactly as pictured. Great location on the island with the beach just a few minute bike ride from the house. The screened in back porch was a favorite place to enjoy all the birds, ghekos, iguanas and turtles that are found in the natural setting of the backyard. Having access to the pool was also nice .This rental has the potential to be a real gem if the property owners just put a little more into it- there was nothing wrong that spoiled our stay , but attention to some minor details (broken ceiling fan on the back porch, replacing the carpet in the back bedroom for example) would serve them well . The beds are also extremely uncomfortable with no box springs ,so the mattresses are very firm . We prefer staying in a rental house instead of a condo and overall this property did not disappoint.

Great home for family, very spacious, outdoors backyard could not enjoy, too many iguanas. Also, not enough ports for lap tops and computers.

The house was as appeared in images at first glance. Although they definitely need to put some money back into this place in order to keep it running properly. The toilets were continually running even causing one to leak out the top of the toilet until we noticed. We had to continue to fix this issue for the extent of our stay. Then on saturday of our trip all electricity stop working in both bathrooms when someone in both bathrooms across the house from each other were blowing drying our hair. We reached out to the rental agent who said she would try and get someone out to fix this but we never saw anyone come out and the issue was not fixed by the time we left tuesday. The lamp in our bedrooms bulb went out also leaving us with no light in our bedroom from sunday to tuesday. Overall the location was nice to reach beaches, watch wild life in the backyard, and swim in the pool. The pool was perfectly located in front of the house and the home was just a short walk away from reasturants and bars. The house did comfortably fit three couples and the kitchen was large and supplied with all cooking and eating needs utensils wise. Make sure u stock up on spices , detergents, soaps, trash bags ect if you are planning an extended stay because you are only supplied tiny amounts of the needed essentials. Quick warning you do hear machinery and pumps running when out on the lanai as well as catch an occasional bad odor in the air from the water treatment plan behind the home. Overall this could be a nice vacation spot if the proper fixes were made to the home.

The property is as seen in listing-the only caveat: it backs up to a water reclamation plant and although you can’t really see it, there is constant hum of the pumps and an occasional odor. The positives are it is close to beach and restaurants and the wildlife in the backyard is fun to watch-iguanas, geckos, bunnies and an occasional alligator in the canal that runs behind it. Needs some updates (not many drinking glasses or decent beach chairs and both toilets need to be adjusted after almost every flush or they will run constantly).

Great property! Everything was clean, very comfortable accomodations, great location to beach/restaurants, pool was perfect for the kids! We really enjoyed our stay!

This property is exactly as it looks in posting. It is very spacious, well cared for, clean, and in a great location. It is close (walking distance) to bar/restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The property manager was super attentive and responsive. We are very happy with our stay!

Our family had a wonderful time during our late summer vacation. The house is really great! Ample, clean, in a quiet neighborhood, and with all the comforts of home. The pool was clean and always empty; and the beach was great (white sand, clean/tranquil ocean, tons of seashells, etc.).Our only issue was that there wasn't any wifi or cable TV working (and cell phone coverage was spotty), due to a recent ownership change that had not set up the account with Comcast yet. However, the property manager Kim was amazing and really went above and beyond to try to resolve the issue. Ultimately, it didn't work while we were there, but on the bright side, it allowed us to really unplug/disconnect and entertain ourselves as in simpler days: listening to the radio, playing cards, reading, etc. So my recommendation would be to check in advance to ensure wifi is working. Other things to keep in mind: 1) the beach is about half a mile away and no parking available there... so keep that in mind if you are taking various beach items/walking with kids; 2) the mosquitos and no-see-um bugs are ferocious... so take plenty of repellant and anti-itch lotion.Other than that, we would totally recommend (and return to) this great home for a Sanibel getaway!

This is the perfect home for a quick get-away with your family. There is a pool, a nice backyard, and you are within walking range to the beach. The house was immaculate. Plenty of parking.

This house was great, big enough, quite place. Kids enjoy extremely. Beach was only few blocks. We enjoy the stay. Only some bugs outside house as property advertised previously. I definitely recommend this house.
