The location was PERFECT. Quiet cul-de-sac with quick access to south beach. It was great to have the 2 gold carts and the house and rooms worked great for our family and a couple of our son's friends. Katie and Edie communicated well for our entire stay. We would definitely rent this house again!

We stayed for the week with our 4 adult kids 20.23, 25 and 27 year old with our oldest’s wife. We had the most incredible time together - and Ferry Tale property made it even more spectacular. Close to the beach access, and nice views from the 3 decks. The property was super clean and freshly painted / maintained and not one detail was left out. The owners / managers obviously take pride in their beautiful property. We will definitely book again!!

This is a great house. It had everything we needed, including beach toys, chairs, and towels. Very close to beach access and BHI club. Management was very responsive. Would highly recommend.

Such a wonderful visit to beautiful Bald Head Island. The house is in the perfect location- right in between the Market and the Bald Head Island Club and across the street from beach access. Can't get much better. We loved that the house was a little tucked away and private. The hosts definitely go the extra mile to make sure their guests feel comfortable- the house has everything you need ranging from all your kitchen needs to every board game ever created. The layout of the house is extremely comfortable and everyone slept great. One thing to note is that the blinds in the bunk bed room don't block any light, so if you have kids with early bedtimes make sure you bring some blackout blinds or it will look like Noon until the sun goes down. Communication with the hosts was the best I've ever experienced. I highly highly recommend this property and we plan on coming back next year!

We recently stayed at this property on BHI the first week of June. The location is fantastic: central to the east and west parts of the island and close to the beach. The house was very clean and is well equipped in the kitchen, beach toys and games, and plenty of beach towels. We highly recommend this property for any family.

Our group of six college friends from way-back-when stayed at FerryTale Retreat and absolutely loved it. The outdoor spaces (2 decks/1 balcony) provided perfect gathering spots and the living spaces were very nice and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and laundry room were well stocked. The beach access is a 4 minute walk. Bicycles are in good shape and the rides were fun. We look forward to renting FerryTale again!

Great location on the island walking distance to the beach and stunning views. Plenty of amenities to make the stay memorable highly recommend to those looking for an island retreat!

We loved staying at Ferry Tales. It has plenty of room for 2 or 3 couples plus kids. Great master porch on the 3rd floor for panoramic sunsets and two other porches on the main level for sun or shade. Location is central and on our favorite beach. We look forward to staying again!

Our family of 4 (myself, wife, and 2 kiddos- 2 & 5 years old) had an amazing vacation here! The house is a perfect location and is extremely comfortable and inviting! We had one of the best trips we’ve ever had together at this house and will definitely be back again as soon as we can!

While the pictures online are quite accurate, you don’t really get a feel for how spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and well-appointed this house really is. The master retreat is heavenly. And the location is fabulous! I was terribly sad to leave! Property management was amazing. We were there during the onset of Elsa, and they communicated with us the entire time. Wonderful people to work with. Not one complaint about anything, other than our stay was too short.

The house was everything as described. Very spacious, great gathering spaces, terrific and well stocked kitchen. A 3 minute walk to the beach and a little over 5 minute golf cart ride to the market or harbor. Highly recommend.

We discovered BHI as we were looking for somewhere special to celebrate my sons graduation. We rented Ferrytale Retreat for five days. The house exceeded expectations with cleanliness, amenities, space and location. Edie and Katie were very easy to deal with and extremely responsive to questions and issues. I highly recommended considering this hone. We left BHI with great memories and will definitely be back.

Three moms with a bunch of kids had a great time at the FerryTale Retreat! Two highlights were the great selection of puzzles and board games and the incredibly well-stacked kitchen.

This rental was very clean and extremely well appointed. You name it in the kitchen - and they have it. Tons of games for the kids. The space made it easy for a family to have a nice vacation and provided an upper level master bedroom with an ocean view patio and a bath with a great, big renovated shower. Hosts were organized and responsive.

Very cute house and Perfect for a family getaway. This house has all the things you would need to enjoy a beach vacation. It seemed brand new and Very detailed with supplies. We really didn’t need to bring much other than food, clothes and ourselves. We had 2 families of 5 and the accommodations were very comfortable for our stay. We love bald head and this house location was perfect. Property management was prompt and helpful if we needed anything. They did an excellent job. Thank you for letting us enjoy our stay. We had a wonderful first visit to BHI and Ferrytale Retreat was the perfect beach home for our family. We enjoyed the spacious living area, well equipped kitchen, and relaxing decks, all nicely furnished and comfortable. It's close to the beach and golf, which we really enjoyed, along with the amazing sunsets! None of this would have been possible without the help of Edie, property manager. She made everything happen seamlessly with her communications and responsiveness. And can't forget Katie, who helped us first-timers with ferry adjustments. :). We're thankful for you both.
