Ideal for short break

The property has so much atmosphere. It is obviously old but excellently renovated. I found the view of the river Aln to be my favorite. Seeing the tide in the estuary rising and falling,I found very relaxing. The location could not be better and the free parking makes life a lot easier.

The location was excellent. The apartment exceeded our expectations.

Wrong key code on arrival luckily the couple next door had a phone number that was answered and give us the right number.I think future bookings should be told about the building work going on next to the property it is very noisy.

Instructions in getting to the house were great. Location was perfect. We had the house for 3 nights before Xmas and it was perfect for our family gathering. Susan supplied a Xmas tree which was a nice touch. Underfloor heating was good. One of my family used the lower bedroom which was perfect in having a separate external door for dog walking.

Such a beautiful home from home, with all the gorgeous special touches you could want. My partner and I took both our 82 year old mum's and 3 dogs for a 3 day break just after the New Year. The living room was just perfect and it was lovely to relax on such pretty & comfortable couches after a day out, watching Netflix Infront of a delightful fire. We were delighted with the complementary bottle of prosecco and carton of milk in the fridge to plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and some lovely scented candles and tea lights. There were also lots of additional throws if you wanted them, it was so considerate to provide a basket of dog towels at the front door and both food & water bowls in the kitchen.. The kitchen was wonderful and we cooked each night and the cupboards had everything we needed for successful food preparation from plenty of sharp knives, pots, pans, cheese grater, cauldron, balsamic vinegar and various oils plus salt, pepper, sauces plus lots of lovely wine glasses etc. Susan was one of the best hosts I have had the pleasure to deal with, her communications were outstanding and she was just so lovely to deal with, nothing we asked was a bother to her. The location was absolutely fantastic and we walked our 3 dogs on the beautiful beach that was just a few mins away. The high street was similarly close too and we enjoyed eating out one evening. We didn't use the garden much though was ideal for our 3 dogs. The location was ideal for exploring the area and we enjoyed visiting Alwick, Amble fishing village and Ingram Valley.

The host mislead us about a very noisy and intrusive building site immediately next to the property, we were mislead about its severity and only a day before we arrived giving us no time to change our plans.

Easy to find and great location for sightseeing. Apartment was perfect and can't wait to come back. Friendly service from Susan who was always available if needed.

an absolutely amazing place spotlessly clean modern apartment and the beach on your doorstep we only came for 2 nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday had a fantastic weekend and would highly recommend the host was very helpful and nothing too much trouble bottle of Prosecco and fresh milk on arrival was a wonderful surprise xx excellent xx 👍😀 will definitely return x😍🏖👍

Susan was a fabulous host. Clear instructions to the property, check-in & checks-out process. Susan informed us of the building works over the road and gave us the option to cancel - not a problem to us. Beautiful apartment perfect for our little family. Games, Amazon speaker & binoculars. Bottle of Prosecco was a lovely and personal touch on arrival. We will definitely be back!

Very clean and modern with extremely comfortable bed. Welcome gift of prosecco and milk was thoughtful and much appreciated.

The fact there was no oven. On booking Seabreeze, it states in the property description (not once but twice!) that there is an oven in addition to a microwave and hob. Consequently, we had brought food with us to cook on Monday evening. Obviously we were unable to do that. Self catering accommodation should be just that - it should provide the guests with adequate facilities to cater for themselves if they so wish. At this time of year we would have liked to have been able to prepare a meal in the apartment a couple of nights rather than go out to eat. With regard to the building works (which to be fair we were warned about before our stay) the noise didn't affect us as we were out of the apartment between 10am and 3pm. However, we had the blinds down for the duration of our stay as there was no privacy whatsoever when we were in the apartment early morning and late afternoon. It was like living in a goldfish bowl with the workmen virtually on our doorstep. We love Alnmouth and know the village well. It was our 7th time of staying here. We are very surprised that planning permission has been granted for new builds. The beautiful view of the estuary is already obscured and once the building work is complete not only will there be no view at all but Seabreeze will have very little privacy due to the close proximity of the new houses. We sympathise with you as it is a lovely place to stay (apart from there being no oven) and we are afraid it could affect future bookings.

The lower bedroom was 2 flights of stairs away from the bathroom. The room attached would be perfect for a toilet/ en suite. There was a very strong smell of damp in the lower area.

it has everything you need for a great holiday away

the road to the property , the cars parked made it difficult to get to the house , but to be fair I do have a big 4 wheel drive car , which was very tight to get in

Very high standard of furnishings and fittings; 2 x great televisions, lovely bright lounge area (huge window), comfortable sofa and bed. Very good selection of utensils with a lot of thought given to what we might need. We loved the breakfast bar. Both rooms were were very spacious with lots of light and ventilation (Velux windows)

The fridge was extremely small (need more room to chill drinks and ice). The shower room was a bit tired with a loose toilet-roll holder. We thought we could manage with the kitchenette area, but found the space too small when we used the hotplate (had to put the toaster and kettle on the breakfast bar). We found the parking tight once new guests arrived on the Friday (the had 2 vehicles)

The apartment was beautiful, just right for the 2 of us and had a lovely view up the river. Location was great for a 2 minute walk into the village centre with all the pubs and restaurants. Very cosy and comfortable. Susan was lovely, making sure all was well for us. Would definitely recommend a stay

The owner was really helpful and provided extra things for the kitchen that we needed. The apartment very comfortable and is right in the centre of Alnmouth and close to lovely beach walks.

The size of the kitchen and lack of work space. Ok for simple meals or those mostly eating out. The owner kindly let us know about building work opposite but as there was no work in progress when we visited it wasn’t a problem.
