The house is very well maintained, the interior details and landscaping are tasteful, elegant and immaculate. There was even a major upgrade to the already fantastic entertainment system. Although our Granddaughters are only 3 to 4 years old, they remembered and really enjoyed returning to the "a-cationhouse". The beach is perfect for learning swimmers, kayaks and canoes. finding hermit crabs enjoying the scenery including the occasional sight of Bald eagles and fish jumping out of the water. The sunsets are truly spectacular! I came down with a medical condition the week before our scheduled rental....and did not expect to make the trip.....the fact that the owners were willing to offer a 100% refund because of the medical emergency reveal the owners character and kindness. I was so glad to be to recover while watching my family enjoy each others company in this truly beautiful and relaxing location.

Our stay at Beauty on the Beach was OUTSTANDING! The house is truly spectacular! It is beautifully furnished and well stocked. The kitchen was amazing and extremely well equipped with pots, pans, dishes etc.. The bunk room above the garage was a huge hit with the kids- they loved their cousin sleepovers and had fun playing pirates and princesses. The TV viewing room was also a favorite along with the ping pong table-with some close family games played among the adults. The bedrooms were large and beds were very comfortable- room for everyone!!! We used the fire place for smores and the gas fireplace for fireside chats at night. The beach was wonderful for the kids and adults. It was truly a wonderful vacation for the whole family!

This was one of the best VRBO stays that we have had the pleasure of experiencing. The house is great. It has large open spaces to accommodate any group. The beds are super comfy and the kitchen is extremely well appointed. It was unusually cold when we visited, but it didnt matter. We had a great time relaxing in the house and on the back porch watching the sunset and enjoying the warmth that the sun provided. There is also great access to lots of towns and activities nearby. We look forward to coming back soon.

The home is well stocked from pantry and kitchen to linens. At night the ping pong rivalries really heated up!! The property was very impressive with easy access to the private beach. The water was warm all week and shallow enough for the kids and adults to enjoy all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer. The town of Cape Charles was a short drive to enjoy shopping, dining and sight-seeing. We would definitely recommend Beauty on the Beach and plan on returning next summer.

Great week, beautiful property

As other reviewer have said, the pictures do not do this property justice. It is big, immaculate and accomodated all our needs. We were a family of 13 - parents, children and grandparents. The kids loved the 'hangout' room over the garage and the adults loved having their own king suites. The beach and water were perfect especially being able to walk out to the sandbar at low tide. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to the Eastern Shore.

My family loved and throughly enjoyed our vacation at Cape Charles! This house was absolutely beautiful and offered plenty of space for our family of six adults and three children (ages 10, 3 and 1). You could see the bay from the window of the house and the short walk was very convenient with little ones. The yard and patio were big enough to relax, play games, utilize the fireplace, and even have water balloon fights. After staying here we are definitely spoiled and can never go back to having to walk even a block to the beach/bay. My family would highly recommend this home and thank you for letting us stay and enjoy a fun and relaxing week.

We had reserved golf carts but were unable to drive them from this out of town location to town because of traffic and golf cart restrictions. This turned out not to be a problem as Smitty from CC Ryder Rentals allowed us to leave the carts on his lot so we could just drive to town to use them anytime during our one week rental. They could not have been more accommodating.

Reviewer Comments: the realtor and house were very accommodating and professional. everything was great The only problem was the speeding ticket my daughter received for going "40 MPH in a 25 MPH zone. She was going with the speed of all other cars the only difference was her car had PA license plate and the others had Virginia plates. This is the second time she was ticketed for speeding in Cape Charles. this time she was 20feet from a sign that stated 55 MPH limit. I firmly believe this treatment by the CC police is nothing more than a money grab. This will severely come into play when deciding whether to come back to Cape Charles or not. I felt extremely upset with this treatment and firmly believe the police are targeting out of state drivers who can't economically come back to fight the ticket.

Property was great for a family of varying ages and physical ability. Beach is very sandy and good for young explorers, and the water shallow. The new fire pit and terrace are ideal additions. The bedroom/bathroom ratio works well; the loft area and media room are ideal for teenagers. Great kitchen layout. We appreciated access to a washer/dryer and all the amenities not normally supplied through a VRBO rental. Thank you for a great family vacation location!

We actually rented this house and the one next door. My wife and I have 6 adult children with their significant other and 12 grandkids. The grandkids ages go 2-12 yr olds 1-9 yr old 2- 7 yr olds 3-4 yr olds 3-2yr olds and an infant. There was plenty of space for everyone to sleep. The yards were great for everyone to play the water/beach was very private. The golf course was spectacular (Bay Creek). The house was beautiful with the large recreational room and magnificent views. The four bedrooms were like 4 master bedrooms. We had an excellent week

We booked this place the night before our drive down from Long Island. I took my wife and three daughters on our road trip down from Long Island for our first vacation in a long time due to covid, and very busy work schedules. After about three hours into our roadtrip I get an email stating our trip has been canceled ! Being that we were stuck halfway down we had to forcefully book another home somewhere in Maryland so we have a place to stay..( Not happily ). We called the number given to complain and house manager said there was nothing they can do to help the situation and just an apology lol. Look as a service company myself I make my clients happy regardless of situation to make them feel comfortable and I did not receive this. please people if you plan on booking with these homeowners try and call them first or you'll be stuck like my family of 5 going somewhere else... thanks for nothing.

The house and property are absolutely first rate and all o fit is as described in the rental links. Very comfortable home to stay in for a get-a-way with friends. Our group of 6 are all over 70 years old and we have known each other for 55+ years. the audio visual room was a real perk with lots of movies to choose from. We did a James "Bond-a-thon". The only negative was we did not have internet service and one couple had AT&T with no signal at the house. When WiFi is advertised it should also state if there is an internet connection. We realize from a phone call to the realty company that there is internet work going on in the area but that would have been nice to know ahead of time.

The house exceeded expectations. It was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The property was stunning and the view was amazing. The outdoor fireplace was fun at night, we brought our bikes and the rides were lovely.

We family of four (8 adults and 4 kids) had wonderful time here. The property is big enough and super clean!! Beach is in front of the house with perfect beach view from the house and bedrooms !!

Everything smooth, attentive to needs while there! House is well appointed, beautifully decorated yet very comfortable. Tons of space for family of 11. Loved having our private beach and calm, warm bay waters. The ONLY shortcoming (which is not the property owners fault!) would be WiFi coverage for those working remotely. Hopefully broadband will come to the area soon!

The property and amenities that were provided couldn’t be a better vacation spot for a large family vacation. We enjoyed two weeks of the beautiful view and home with everything a renter could ask for - so nicely decorate, clean linens, pantry filled with all of the necessities of home yet we were on vacation! Would recommend and would go back again…and thanks to Blue Heron for going that extra step to take care of us!

This was a wonderful house. Beach was nice and right in front of the house after the big yard. Bedrooms each had their own bath. The room above the garage is away from the rest of the house but still nice -that one did not have a bathroom. Wish there was a ramp to go on the beach, but it just had stairs. Really wish they had a pool but still enjoyed out stay.

Our family had a relaxing week at this lovely house. It was plenty spacious for the 10 of us and kitchen was fully stocked. Beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the beachy decor. We loved the private beach the most and saw many beautiful sunsets. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation this place won’t disappoint.

House layout was great for those not able to handle stairs since common space was entirely on main floor, as well two bedrooms/baths. Beach was nice; neighbors a bit grouchy. Any problems incurred were handled promptly by property manager. Lawn was plenty big for outdoor games and activities. The sunsets were fantastic!

Our stay at Beauty on the Beach was amazing from beginning to end. We look forward to returning again next year!

Great accommodations! Well equipped. Quiet and beautiful!

Absolutely beautiful location on the bay, we had the beach to ourselves most days and enjoyed walking and finding seashells during the seasonably warm weather over the Thanksgiving holiday. Even at high tide but especially low tide there was plenty of room. Super clean and fine sand! The staff at Blue Heron bent over backwards to help us with an unexpected maintenance issue despite it being a holiday. They were easy to reach by phone and very prompt. House setup is great for couples with 4 master bedrooms. A bit challenging with smaller children as the bedroom with twin beds is in a separate wing of the house with no easy way to move beds or mattresses to the main area. Would be great for older ages! We wished we had brought a crib mattress as the giant walk in closets upstairs could easily have been a toddler bedroom! As it was we just piled in the king sized beds. Overall we would definitely return post-COVID so we could explore more of Cape Charles. Looked like a lovely little town.

My wife and I rented this incredible property for 10 consecutive days in late September and cannot rate it highly enough. Contrary to previous reviews, this rental is whole heartedly worth 5 stars. Couple of things: yes the internet is slower than you'd get in a big city, but the management company provide a Jetpack to boost speeds when really needed. It's honestly not a big deal, even for those used to spending the day on Zoom calls. Secondly, a past review mentioned fruit flies/gnats. We saw a few early in the stay, but they're common in the area and were quickly dispatched with some Lysol spray and good kitchen cleanliness practices. By day 4-5, they'd gone entirely. Onto the best parts: the view is worth the price of admission and them some. Where else can you go that has exclusive use of a PRIVATE beach and literally not see another person all day?! Sunsets were some of the most spectacular we've ever seen; we also saw dolphins most mornings and an American Eagle most afternoons. The neighbors we did meet were absolutely charming, giving us filets from fish they caught on their own beach that morning. The kitchen is a chef's dream, the beds are comfortable and the shower & soaker tub in the master are fantastic. The home literally doesn't need another thing. Doug & Montaigne from Blue Heron were gracious and incredibly responsive hosts - even leaving us some wonderful fresh clams on one of the days. Anything we had questions about, needed or could possibly want, they were ready to provide it. We only ventured out of the home on 1-2 occasions due to the ongoing pandemic but from what we saw in the local towns, there's a whole lot of interesting things to do and see if you're braver than us! With the facilities on hand though, who needs anything more. We'll be back for sure.
