The shepherds hut is in an ideal location, away from the town (so nice and peaceful but a short walk away), and just perfect for a romantic weekend away. The bed was very comfortable. The log burner kept us nice and snug at night. It had everything that we needed, including a fridge in the outdoor kitchen and the use of the BBQ. There were even 2 complimentary bottles of Prosecco ready for our arrival. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. We stayed in it until the early hours, star gazing and listening to the running stream in the background. Martin, the host, was extremely helpful and made us feel at home. He even came and met us in the town and showed us where the hut was. Nothing was too much bother. We even had morning visits from Lyra, Martin's dog, who was after a belly rub or two! We will definitely be back to stay in the shepherds hut.
Not really a negative but the bathroom door was difficult to close at the bottom. It could do with a couple of coat hooks for the towelling robes that were kindly provided.

The location is amazing, It’s the perfect base to explore the national park from. The area around the hut is really peaceful too with good views and the sound of a running stream.
The hut itself was clean, had everything we needed and is bigger than other huts I’ve stayed in! Martin was really welcoming and got us a table at his restaurant too which had great food.
I would highly recommend staying here!

The location is a perfect spot for an escape. The tub is a good addition.

Great location for total peace and quiet. Not far from town. I was a lone traveller, so it was perfect. Really nice space with everything you need.
Leaving!

Amazing location, people and place. Cannot fault it in the slightest. Bloody amazing!!!!
4.7
Very picturesque location, clean, comfortable and cosy. A short (but steep and strenuous!) walk down into Betws down a private footpath. The owner also runs and operates a pub in the town, which I would highly recommend for dinner - the food was exceptional.
The location was quite hard to find - make sure you get directions or chat to the owner before setting off!

We liked this accommodation and hot tub location. We felt that we had the place to ourselves. The owners were on tap if we wanted them but left us alone to enjoy peace and quiet. It was a beautiful location. It felt remote but wasn't at all. The owners had a hotel on the main road with outstanding food. Beautiful place to eat .
The time went far to fast.

It's very quirky and looked great. It's meant to be different and I liked that.
Booking.com needs to change the location it should be 53.084685,-3.788396
The only real fault is there was no welcome hamper with the likes of local milk and meat. Or at last be an option for extra £

it was very quaint and a bit quirky just how we like it.
very clean on arrival was a good base for us as we walk a lot and loved the town
needs a lot of wood to keep the hot tub going but once we got the hang of it it was lovely
getting in and out of the drive was a bit tricky with being up hill and on a bend

Great location, fantastic views & cute accommodation. Owner was great & we ate at Ty Gwyn hotel- the food was delicious
It's a bit tricky to find & the access road is single track which made it interesting when meeting someone coming the other way! Once we'd driven it in daylight, we were fine.

Beautiful place. Made full use of the hot tub and outdoor kitchen. Comfy bed, clean room. Perfect location. Nothing bad to say

The hut was exactly as pictured! The owner and his wife were extremly accomodating and helpfull. The bed was easy to set up and very comfortable, with the hut being perfectly laid out to maximise space. The hot tub was fabulas and because of how little light pollution there is out here, you can sit in it and look up at the stars for hours! The surroundings are beautiful and tranquil. Perfect to escape from the daily grind.
Thank you for this wonderfull stay!!!
Honestly, nothing. It was perfect.
My only note is for others guests. You need a mode of transport as the location is out of the way and you are not likely to get a taxi in this area.
4.7
The location was discreet but was only a 5-10 min drive from everything we needed, the cottage was clean and met our expectations, the hot tub was perfect

Accommodation wad excellant, clean and everything available that you would need
Nothing!! Everything was great

We booked this little cabin for the weekend and it was perfect! Lovely high up location with great views & a beautiful forest with a path right down to the the hosts hotel. Had our own privacy the whole time. Martin was great with tips on the local area & anything you needed. Hot tub was very nice, easy to heat up & so relaxing after a long day exploring! Would stay again!
Nothing to say!

Unfortunately on arrival we were met with a confused owner. They wernt aware we were due to stay. We were told they could have it ready in an hour. So we disappeared and came back. However on our return the boiler was broken. So not hot water was available. Fortunately the owner has a hotel in the town and was able to transfer us to that. in all fairness he was very apologetic and went out of his way to sort us out with accommodating us there. But it. wasn’t the Shepard hit experience we’d hope for..

What a little gem of a place! A fantastically well appointed shepherd's hut set off the beaten track to leave you feeling properly secluded. The bed is super comfy, the kitchenette is perfectly sufficient to prepare some light meals and we loved the underfloor heating and log burner. The wood fired hot tub was the icing on the cake for us - we used it every day, more than once most days, the perfect antidote to mountain hikes and biking days! Martin was a wonderful host and we wanted for nothing, we would definitely come back and stay again!
4.7
Amazing place and very comfortable. Everything there that we needed and more. Martin was lovely and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely go there again.
4.7
The hut was beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed. The hot tub was amazing and the views were stunning
Maybe some sort of shelter over the hot tub so it can be used in the rain.
4.7
amazing little shepards hut in perfect location from the local village and snowden. We used the natural hot tub on both nights and it was perfection on a cold snowy evening. The hut itself was immaculate and far bigger than seen on the pictures. Bed pulls down into super comfy bed and we were always toasty warm with underfloor heating, great hot shower, and cozy wood burner. Martin was a great host and only ever a phone call away. There is a great little path from the garden that takes you into town, about a 15 min walk.
Cannot fault. Great value for money.

The hut is in there owners garden an overlooked by their House we felt as if we're introducing
4.7
it’s a great location and very cute little set up
there was one little issue with the hot water but it was no one’s fault just a mechanical issue but the host couldn’t do anymore for us and more than compensated. we had an amazing weekend and couldn’t have asked for more from the host so hope to go back soon

Martin was extremely friendly and helpful, allowing us to check in early! The shepherds hut was absolutely amazing, very cosy at this time of year. The perfect size for two people, and the underfloor heating and log burner were a great bonus. The kitchen was fully stocked for a long weekend, with just enough room for making breakfast. The bed was extremely comfortable and easy to pull down - no faffing! Even though the hut is located in Martin's garden, we did not feel overlooked or like we were imposing on our hosts. We even went for a meal one evening in Martin's hotel located a 10 minute walk away, and WOW the food was amazing!
We had a fantastic weekend and it was the perfect setting for celebrating my birthday. We will definitely be visiting again! I absolutely would recommend the Shepherds Hut to anyone looking for an alternative stay away.
Maybe a thicker duvet for the winter months - but this is being VERY picky. The whole place was fantastic.

Location is great, easy access to main routes in Snowdonia. Hot tub was amazing, very relaxing and peaceful too. The hut had everything we needed for our stay, and was comfortable. Host was very chatty, and their dog was very friendly too!
Not much to improve on, to be honest. Maybe a bigger fridge, but the host told us that was on order.

Booked this place for my daughter & her boyfriend for her 21st...they absolutely loved it...Great little place set on the owners property, but still very private, the hot tub was just perfect after a long day out sightseeing..beautiful area and plenty of places to visit in the area..The owners where so friendly and welcoming..will definitely be back..
4.7
Good location, overall good stay.
Stained bed sheets, there were nails on the floor between the hut and the hot tub, no hot water on arrival and took over night for it to warm up so couldn’t have a shower when we got there. Very small and little space to put anything. When I mentioned the stained bed sheets and not having hot water to the host I was offered a refund rather than for him to put the faults right…after driving 200+ miles to be there a refund isn’t what I wanted. Hut is located in the hosts back garden, I don’t believe this was on the description at the time of booking and because of this the parking situation is awkward.

The host was friendly, he met us and showed us around and gave us information about facilities around us.
The shepherd hut was clean, bed was comfortable and loved the hot tub.
We even had a welcome drink when we arrived!
The food was amazing at the hosts hotel/restaurant. It was great service.
We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. The view from shepherd’s hut was beautiful and was peaceful and quiet.

Beautiful, quiet location in a garden with a babbling brook running through it. Great place to chill and relax. Very comfy bed. Very good hot-tub. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Made very welcome by Martin, who was a great host.
Nothing to not like.

We stayed in the Shepherds Hut this May for a long weekend. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it to others looking for a romantic or a comfy little get away.
It was very well thought out and decorated to a high standard. The stove and under floor heating made it extremely cosy after rainy outdoor activities. The hot tub was a lovely little extra!!
Even though it’s located on the grounds of the main house it felt completely private so don’t let this put you off at all. The host was very friendly and helpful and we only saw him on arrival.
All in all...we loved it!

The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed a drink on the terrace in the evenings as the sun went down.
Martin and his family (including their 7 month old puppy) were very welcoming and enjoyed tummy rubs.
We ordered take away dinner from Martin’s hotel at the bottom of the hill (Ty Gwyn Hotel) one evening which was delicious and saved us cooking.
The pull down bed was very comfortable, I’m 6’4” and the size was not an issue.
