Lovely comfortable room, with a good breakfast. We were looked after well from the second we arrived.
Late into the night I did feel a little cold.

Room was large enough for three day stay and great location to visit Cotswolds. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Internet was good.
More information on the area we were visiting and what was in the Village where the hotel is located.

De gastvriendelijkheid van het personeel en de eigen parkeerplaats! Top

Breakfast was good but really disappointed that breakfast only opens at 8am on weekdays and 8.30am on weekends.
Should have been opened from 6am or 6.30am ot 7am.
1) rooms weren't that good as unexpected - both bedroom and bathroom
2) I was told by some of my group that there were some moulds - very bad!
3) No air conditioned. However, no fan was provided instead. Disappointed.
4) Car park - oh, what a hell by turning into the entrance of the arch by a van rental and then even worse about car parks up the hill while sometimes it get full and sometimes there is a space but difficult to park despite the car park is right at the top of the hill with turning point.
5) What a waste of money for staying over at this hotel for two nights.

Authentic old England hotel which we loved. Quiet town and we slept very well.
I can’t think of any reason not to like it.

Loved the prompt response on our arrival anf to our needs. Smiling and gentle in guiding us to the room.
On demand, personalised (within limits of course) breakfast without wasting raw materials.
Canopy bed in the room.

The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. We would revisit this hotel.

We liked the old building and the room was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was amazing.
Lots of stairs , as mobility is a problem but knew this when we booked and still enjoyed the quirky building

A lovely characterful property with friendly staff who obviously wanted their guests to have a good time. Really liked that the village is quiet and an escape from the summer crowds. Loved the curry special.
We ate in the restaurant on the first night. Some people may prefer to be waited on more quickly, but we didn't mind having to wait because the meal was so good. We had a relaxing evening.

Location was good , the rooms where a good size , breakfast which was included in the price was good
In one of the room we stayed (room 3) even if was recently refurbished a lot of details were missing like one bedside table , a chair where to leave thing , hangers for the towels in the bathroom, and the ventilation in the bathroom was broken and couldn’t stop the noise , when spoke to the reception about all these issues we were offered and upgrade and the new room was pleasant
On the other room ( room 7) , it was smelling like dogs pee and was not giving the feeling of cleanliness

The Staff were absolutely lovely and friendly, couldn't fault them.
Sadly the mattress on the bed was really uncomfortable as the round circles where the springs are were raised sticking in your legs, unfortunately a lot of noise outside the room door which lead onto the drive as people drinking outside it then ended up knocking on our door when just falling asleep. I love a bit of fun but not when I'm going to sleep. it settled in the end.

One of the towels had hair on it.

The staff were professional and friendly.
Food was fantastic. Friday night was a specialist curry night. Yummy. Breakfast was just right.
If I was being really picky, the curtains could have been better to stop the light from the street from coming in the room at night.

Charming cotswold pub with lots of character.
The food was fantastic and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Typical old coaching inn.
Friendly staff and very nice evening meal.
Very good breakfast which was included in the price.
A minor point but towel rails in the bathroom would have been useful.

The staff were excellent and they did everything they could to make your stay really pleasant. The hotel is in a good location for sightseeing in the Cotswolds.
The bedroom was very clean with pristine sheets on the bed and excellent tea and coffee making facilities.
I would have found an information leaflet about the hotel, with meal times, check out time, WiFi code and maybe a menu handy.

The pillows could have been better.

The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed both the cooked breakfasts and two evening meals. The chef did a brilliant job of freshly cooking the meals and the wait was not long at all. The ambience in the restaurant was also very pleasant.
The local villagers who frequented the bar area were also very friendly which gave the hotel a welcoming and comfortable feel. We loved Blockley and would describe the village as the most peaceful place we have visited yet perfectly located to visit many popular places in the Cotswolds. Thank you for a lovely couple of days.
The decor in the room we stayed in could be improved upon although it didn’t bother us as we were not in the room much.

Liked the family room and dining room set up.
Room spotless
Friendly staff
Food tasted lovely
Parking on site good
Lovely location
Several areas need updating- chairs in dining room had ripped upholstery, broken faded decking at back sun terrace- this is a lovely area to sit.
Poor signage to dining room, bar area and doors to get to room outside main building.
Room above number 25 needs something done to floor boards or noise cancelling underlay. Noise from people just walking across room horrendous and kept us awake.

Rooms were clean and comfortable.
Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming or friendly. The shower didn’t drain well and there was no towel bigger than a hand towel.

Beautiful charming old building, comfortable spacious room and friendly welcoming staff. A really lovely village too.
Rather a lot of difficult stairs. We would request a ground floor room if we stayed again

The friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Car parking on site and situated in a good position, convenient for Moreton in Marsh. The room was great with a lovely four poster bed and a good size shower. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Thanks for looking after us.

Staff were excellent and very welcoming.
The Breakfast and Evening meals were very well presented and enjoyable.
The bar was very comfortable and a great choice of drinks.
We found the bed too hard, but that a personal choice.

El hotel muy bonito. El lugar para cenar y desayunar muy bonito. La habitación grande. Estaba limpia la habitación. El desayuno bastante justo. No tenían leche caliente. Si quieres cafe con leche no vas a poder. El oueblo tranquilo para un paseo corto. Bastante silencioso
El precio bastante elevado y sin desayuno. Luego mirando el precio dos noches antes estaba a mitad de precio con desayuno. Sabiendo lo que pagamos nos podian al menos ofrecer el desayuno gratuito que eran 6 libras nada mas

Breakfast was not included and cost £6.50 for continental & £9.90 if you also wanted a full English.
There was a queue for toast as the two toasters were very slow (luckily there weren't many people in the restaurant at the time). However, the staff were very helpful and friendly.
We had stayed here 15 years before, but under the new ownership the standard had definitely gone down. The furniture is old and nothing matched. There was no information in the bedrooms (we had to ask reception for the wi-fi code). and when we returned on the first day, our bed had not been made (apparently we had to put a sign on the door, but nobody had mentioned this to us). The taps in the bathroom had a lot of limescale which could be cleaned very easily.

It would have been nice if there was more than Curry on the Menu, and more traditional Beers
