Super great food , weather and super vacation house!!!

The property owners were great! We had excellent communication with them prior to the stay and during the stay. The house has been recently renovated and it was well done. It was decorated very nicely and was very comfortable. Everything we needed for the stay was provided including all the requirements to host a large group for a steak and shrimp cookout. If we go back to Saint Simons Island, we will stay there so we definitely recommend it.

Our group of 5 adults came for a pickle ball tournament. We loved Tabby Shack! The house was beautiful, very clean and comfortable and convenient to everything on the island. The owners were always quick to respond to any questions we had. Everything we needed was provided in the house. We would all definitely stay here again! Thanks for the board games!

There are so many positives to this home, I don't know where to begin. I hesitate to review it positively, as I don't really want to share it with anyone else. ha ;) The house is so nice - the furnishings make me want to redo my own home, the neighborhood is super quiet and convenient to everything, the house has everything you need and is so organized - again, makes me want to reorganize my own home! This will be our new getaway spot when we visit the island. :) Thank you Tabby Shack!

We spent a week at the Tabby Shack and we LOVED our stay. The beds were comfortable, there was always plenty of hot water, and the location was great. Our drive to the beach was always about 2-3 min long. We had a 3 year old and it was great to have a small playground across the street in the park. There was a lot of small touches that made our stay so great. For example, the outdoor shower was so helpful especially with a small kid full of sand after a day at the beach. There was so much Tupperware (which was great for leftovers) and the grill on the patio was so enjoyable. If we ever come back to St. Simons Island, we would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything in the place is new and the kitchen appointments (from appliances to plates) were well above average. Our group included a 2, 6 and 9 year old, and everyone was very comfortable. You can easily walk to the beach and village, and the location is very quiet/secure. We would certainly stay again in the future.

We loved our stay here! We have stayed in many different houses on SSI over the years and this was definitely one of our favorites. The house was clean, well-stocked, and conveniently located. It was obvious the owners have put a lot of time and thought into making the house a comfortable place to stay!

The pictures do not do this place justice. It was bigger than we initially thought and it was absolutely an amazing stay and an amazing home. We loved every single minute of it and we even extended our stay. Kelly and Adam were the best hosts and they were very accommodating. It's in a prime location from the pier and the beach and local shops so it was such a relief to be able to walk and bike everywhere. We loved it.

This beach house was just completely renovated and everything inside was very well done. House was clean and in a great location to walk to the beach and village. We rented bikes for some longer adventures up the island. Great WiFi speeds in the house made it easy for us to work remotely. Owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about the island. We will be back

So well-appointed with plenty of space, comfy furniture, awesome kitchen. Dedicated parking, quiet street. We walked to the beach every day (teens) but parking at public access was easy if you had more gear or younger kids. Everything was brand new (2021) and very stylish. Bathrooms were gorgeous! Everyone had to work and do virtual school before the beach so the space to spread out and the great wifi made a big difference. Loved cooking in the kitchen and eating at the island’s great restaurants. Owner was so helpful and answered all our questions!

We absolutely loved this rental. Very beautiful house and the master bathroom was absolutely stunning. Very short distance to beach and pier. Definitely will book again.

The Tabby Shack SSI is a great place to stay - we stayed 5 weeks and have no negatives to report at all. The owners are wonderful to work with.The house itself is totally updated with new bathrooms which are so nice, as well as lovely furniture and furnishings throughout. It is larger than we expected! We enjoyed opening the plantation shutters each morning to have sunlight light up the house and to see birds feeding outside the large windows. The kitchen has very nice appliances as well as everything we needed, and then some, for cooking, serving, and coffee-making. The TV had a nice selection of channels.In addition we think it is a really good location, close to beach, restaurants, Pier Village, and we walked and biked to all. We definitely will be back.

Fantastic house. Very clean and well stocked home. The master bath with the many jets, is to die for. The kitchen was well stocked and the knives were sharp. The pantry was stocked with olive oil, canola oil, salt and pepper, and coffee filters as there was a regular coffee pot which I prefer. Great coffee shop 5 minutes away. All the pots and pans you could need. A crock pot as well as glass Pyrex storage containers for leftovers were available. Lots of glass and plastic drinking glasses. Kitchen towels were plentiful as well as 3 cutting boards. Plenty of room in the pantry for any grocery shopping you may do. Fridge is brand new as well as the dishwasher. We got to listen to Alexa play music for us. There were several in the house. Great for setting timers too. Keyless entry was awesome as we had no keys to lose. Living room furniture was beautiful as well as two chairs with hassocks. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were great. Bedding was beautiful and homey. Towels were great and plenty of them. Deep bathtub in the other bathroom was great for a soak. We all enjoyed the island very much and Adam was a wealth of information about great restaurants and anything else we needed. We have no complaints our stay was great. The place was neat and tidy. The area was very quiet.

Nice place To stay

This is a great house in a nice location. Everything met or exceeded expectations.

Great location. Very clean and cozy. Only thing is the pics show TVs in the other bedrooms and there were none. My aunt is mentally sick and stays in bed a lot watching tv.

There was a problem with heat upon arrival, which was quickly resolved. As a first time renter, I would like to have seen more information as to trash, recycling, TV operation, (esp living room), also a map, other information about the area would have been helpful. The property fit our housing needs perfectly. Quiet dead end street. Will use VRBO for next vacation.

We enjoyed our stay on SSI. The house was good for us. The inside was clean & functional. The outside (grill & patio) was very neglected. Our VRBO representative was very responsive to the few problems we did encounter. Attention is needed to the tub drain in hall bath. We would stay here again

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house! We loved the layout of the house, the rooms were spacious, and the beds were comfy. Kitchen was nice and well stocked with utensils and pans. The place was very clean and the location was convenient to the beach and groceries/restaurants. The only thing we did notice was the outdoor area (both the patio overhang and the outdoor shower) were not functional. The back patio needs cleaned and pressure washed. It wasn’t a big deal to us as we didn’t plan on spending much time out there. Also, the kitchen wasn’t stocked like other rentals we’ve stayed at. There were only a few coffee filters left that I found under the counter and we had to go and buy trash bags for the kitchen. Again not a big deal because we made it work. Those were just a few minor things we noticed but otherwise LOVED our stay. We didn’t want to leave!
