If you are looking for the benefits of staying on the beach and being close to central Galveston, but a bit of seclusion and privacy for your family, this place is it. We enjoyed our time building memories before and after the beach at the multiple outdoor tables, chairs, swings and hammocks where we could comfortably dry off and enjoy snacks. The beach in walking distance feels private as the only people using it appear to be residents or renters of this small community and the shell selection was amazing throughout our 3 night stay. The home is well-equipped with a tent, chairs and beach toys galore so we thankfully didn’t need to pull out too much of our own items to then pack up at the end of the trip. Our family drove 15 minutes or so to Pleasure Pier area and spent an afternoon hanging out and shopping. Our kids were so glad to “get home to relax” after their excursion to the busier beach area. We cannot speak more highly of our hosts who checked in with us throughout the trip and were so accommodating in ensuring we had everything we needed to feel at home. We would highly recommend this place!

Had a great time for Labor Day weekend! So refreshing to come back from a long day at the beach to luxury hotel-level accommodations. Huge upstairs deck, great lower deck to get everything ready for the beach!

Had a wonderful stay at this property! The house is super clean, appliances are like new, beds are comfortable with nice pillows, sheets and blankets. Plenty of nice towels for bath and beach, lots of beach toys for our grandson to use, we could go on and on. The location is perfect, a very short walk to the beach which wasn't crowded. And Jeff and Ashley are great hosts and answer any questions very quickly.

We had a great stay in June. The property is well-appointed. We especially loved the privacy of the outdoor shower and all the hooks for drying beach things. Loads of beach gear to borrow was a huge plus. We could easily drive and park with an elderly family member to one of multiple beach access points in the community. We also loved the shade downstairs and the hammocks. It was perfect for our family.

Exceptionally Crisp Clean place with plenty of room for our large family (1 teen 2 tweens & a baby). Enjoyable outdoor space. Very well stocked, Jeff & Ashley have thought of every detail to allow you to plan a last minute trip to the beach and not have to pack anything extra. We can not wait to visit Galveston again.

We loved our stay, it was the second year we rented this property. The hosts were very responsive when we asked to check in a little bit early, and everything was wonderful. All the things that matter when you’re traveling with kids are perfect here. They have a pack n play, extremely comfortable beds (high end sheets and towels) everything you’d need in the kitchen, beach toys, and more! Super clean, fresh and just nice all around. We love this place and will stay again!

House was exactly as described! Host was very communicative and online house manual made check in and departure very easy. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and playing all the games that were available.

We loved Pirates Beach as it wasn’t as crowded as the rest of the island it seemed (Spring Break). The hosts were super friendly and the house was just what we needed for a quick weekend at the beach :) Thank you! Would rent again for sure!

We loved this house. We often rent beach houses in pirates beach and this has been our favorite! Clean, well stocked and comfortable! Loved the minimalist decor as well. Would love to come again!

The place was very clean and nice. It was stocked with everything we needed. We had an event in Galveston so we weren't there much, but there were board games, a ping pong table, baby swing and plenty of seating to enjoy. Would stay here again.

We rented this property to celebrate the new year with our daughter, son- n- law and their three children. The accommodations were spot on with the online description. The house was very clean and we found the beds to be very comfortable!!! There is a nice size wood deck off the back side of the house with ample seating. Beach access is an easy 5-10 minute walk from the house. We hope to come again soon.

We had the privilege of staying at Jeff & Ashley’s place and it is as advertised! The home is beautiful, and plenty of space for two adults and two kids. The house is a very short walk to the beach, and they have plenty of toys and a wagon to haul them in. Communication was great, and check in and check out was easy. None of us had ever been to Galveston and now we all look forward to coming back. Highly recommend this location!

Had an amazing time. The place was super clean and furnished beautifully. Very bright and lots of sunshine inside. The kids were never bored with the toys and activities provided. It is about 2 blocks/5 min walk away from the beach. Very thankful for the beach toys and wagon provided. Amazing experience, great hosts. Can’t wait to have a return visit.

The house was lovely! Comfy beds, clean, well stocked with cooking supplies, soft sheets, soft towels and lots of great beach stuff! I would definitely recommend this house, it had everything we needed and didn't have the extra clutter that some houses have, which was a bonus for the kiddos who like to touch everything. The location was great too, we were able to walk to the beach everyday. Thanks!

Fantastic experience at this bungalow. Was everything we could have hoped for while staying at the beach with 4 kids under the age of 6. Very clean and nice house. The host were very helpful and the location and this area of pirates beach is very family friendly. Highly recommend.

My family was in town because my husband was attending a conference. We wanted a home base where we could easily access the beach and be able to cook. This house was PERFECT for our family. The set-up is ideal (master suite on one side and other rooms on the other side), kitchen has more than the basics, the downstairs area is welcoming and entertaining, and everything is there! The beach is a very short walk and while we brought our own toys and wagon, we noticed the host provided one along with tons of toys. This stay and the hosts was easy and enjoyable. While the house was great for a family, it would also be a wonderful couples escape. The location is perfect (short walk to beach and easy drive into the town) and the house is cozy with really comfortable beds and furniture. Loved our stay!

We had an excellent stay at the property. Everything was on-point: the beds were comfortable, the home was clean, the amenities all worked great (washer, dryer, dishwasher, outside shower and footwasher, etc), the beach gear (chairs, umbrellas, toys, etc) were all abundant and in good working order. The couple of times I needed to contact the owners (things that were my fault, not theirs) they were very quick to reply and responsive. Highly recommend this property. As my 6-yo granddaughter said - two thumbs up!

My husband and I decided to take our grandkids to this beautiful 3 bedroom 2 bathroom home for a mini vacation. Upon arrival the kids and I fell in love with the home and all of the extras that were provided. The hosts were very responsive and checked in on us to make sure we didn't have any issues with the check in process or needed anything else. I am already looking forward to going again with the family or a girls trip.

The owners thought of everything! From fun beach toys for the kids to nice, soft sheets. Our family really enjoyed staying at the house. We look forward to returning!
