We have stayed here before. This house used to belong to one of my wife’s relatives. Coming here to stay was like coming back home.

We love it here. Very peaceful. Great restaurants near by. We enjoy the kayaks and beach bikes. Can’t wait for next year.

We loved this place!! So peaceful and off the beaten track. Great restaurants, ice cream and a coffee shop (Foxi’s-worth going with beautiful garden). Easy access to AMI and beaches galore! The place was clean, well appointed and the outdoor area was perfect. Bird lover’s paradise. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My husband and I wanted a relaxing, laid back holiday on the water after the busyness of Christmas and we got it! This lovely restored home sits on the bay with a 60 foot dock in the fishing community of Cortez, FL. If you want the comforts of home in a cool historic community, surrounded by water and beautiful beaches on nearby Anna Maria Island, then this home is for you! We walked to a fun restaurant in the neighborhood and bought fresh fish from the nearby Starfish Market and never had to leave the house unless we wanted to adventure on the beautiful Gulf beaches of Anna Maria. Hope to be back soon! The owner is great with communication too!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Gray House. Location was amazing, loved having access to the kayaks, bikes, and fishing equipment. Listening to the birds on the back deck was a real treat!

We loved staying here. The views from the home and dock are unbeatable and the home has all the amenities you need to cook/bbq. We used the kayak and enjoyed checking our local restaurants. Convenient location to AMI too!

The house is so charming,cozy, and modern. The architecture inside is very unique. There's a beautiful view of the water from the entire inside, and palm trees can be seen through all the windows. We brought fresh fish back from the nearby fish market and grilled on the deck. We regularly took the provided beach chairs and umbrella to Cortez beach. My husband especially enjoyed fishing on the fishing dock. I loved seeing the birds there.We rarely saw anyone at other docks so it was super private. The front yard is big which provides extra privacy at the house.There's an unattached garage out by the street which is very far away from the house-- which the owner occasionally visits, perhaps doing some quiet work inside of it. Briefly we saw him tending plants on the grounds but he stayed at a distance as if not to bother us. He was friendly when we approached him and was very accommodating and easy going. He provided countless perks that we greatly appreciated, from fishing bait-- to shampoo- to laundry soap! There's the cutest pineapple growing out front that we always fawned over when we came and went. Lots of awesome wildlife, too. Hope to come back soon!

Beautifully renovated historic house! Owner has thought to provide everything for an enjoyable stay!

This was a really cool property with some really cool features. I really loved sitting out on the dock every night and watching dolphins and manatees play in the bay. This little cottage has a lot of charm and I wish I could live here full time. Had a blast!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this cottage! It was beautiful and completely stocked with almost everything we needed - all we had to buy were groceries. It was in the perfect location, too! Almost everything we wanted to do was either within walking distance or just a short drive over the bridge! It was an absolutely perfect week and we cannot wait to return to the Gray (Fulford) House!

My husband and I both grew up in this area, although we live in Georgia now. We know the area well and I tell ya this place is such a GEM, the pictures don’t even do it justice. We had the most incredible week throwing cast nets and fishing from the dock watching birds dolphins and boats go by, the dock accommodated my brothers 26’ boat with no trouble at all. The house was clean and well stocked! We look forward to many future visits!

My husband, 17yo daughter, and I had a lovely 5-night stay at the Gray House cottage. We loved the view to the bay, our time spent watching birds and dolphins from the pier, and the fully appointed house that met all our needs. It was convenient and fun to walk through the neighborhood to the local seafood restaurants. We appreciated having canoes for our use (never carved out the time to use the bikes). Given that our daughter is set on attending college in St. Pete, we will likely have many opportunities to come back again. We would definitely choose this house again for a future stay.

Great location.. beautiful property… nothing more we could have asked for!

Property was great, as expected. Super quiet all around the neighborhood. Back deck was a daily staple and the dock was also enjoyed. We saw dolphins off the end of the dock most everyday and a variety of fish and birds. The beach was a very short drive over the bridge. The drive down Longboat key to St Armands for dinner was so pleasant. We came to recharge from life and recharge we did. It's a must-return place for me.

We are familiar with the Anna Maria/ Bradenton area and wanted a quiet out of the way spot to stay. Couldn't have been more perfect for us, enjoyed seeing boats, birds, quick to get to the beach and fish markets then landing in a quiet location. The cottage has been renovated just right. We expect to be back!

We had a quick visit to see family. This home is beautiful, comfortable, and well appointed. The covered porch was great for watching wildlife and the boats go by, and it is close to everything we needed.

The property is so well taken care of. Really nice touches everywhere. If you are into bathrooms, this is the place :)

The moment you open the door, you get a delightful feeling of relaxation and peace. It is clean, with nautical decor, charming accents, fishing village feel, but modern. I loved the ceiling and the natural light coming thru the windows. The dock was visually attractive and the fishing fun. Location, location! I have rented many places and this is my number one, so far! I truly hope to go again.

This was our 3rd year and we hate leaving every time. The view never gets old. It's within walking distance to some of our favorite places to eat. The beaches are just over the bridge. Very convenient to everything. We'll be back.

Our family of 4 had such an amazing time at this cute cottage. Perfect location for us to dock our boat and visit the sandbars. We walked to swordfish grill for dinner and enjoyed the neighborhood. This house exceeded our expectations and not a detail was missed. Included so many amenities and felt like home away from home. We hope to make this spot a family tradition for years to come! P.s. we saw dolphins right in front of our dock :)
