We had such a wonderful time at Amidon Cabin. Everything in the home is so thoughtful - the kitchen has everything you need. We enjoyed being so close to Jay Peak, the Belfry and Omakase. Danielle and James were super responsive and also took care of all snow removal. We plan to return next year!

This home was so incredibly beautiful and comfortable. Our group included 2 families with teenagers and there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out to watch football, enjoy post ski relaxation and celebrate the new year. The fire pit was a hit on new years eve (thank you for providing wood). The kitchen was perfectly supplied with everything we needed (Loved the maple syrup-thank you!).The hosts were very kind and easy to communicate with. And of course, the heated toilet seats and radiant flooring were perfect after a day of skiing in the cold. This home is about 10 minutes from Jay Peak and there is a fun little restaurant about 1.5 miles down the road on the way. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

We had a great stay in a beautiful house tucked away in the forest on a maple farm. Easy access to skiing and trails, with lots of privacy and fun activities for the whole family.

the stay was just wonderful the weather was not what we wanted. Got one night by the fire pit. Was hoping for starrier nights. Grate place would do it again.

This home and property is incredible! We were cozy and comfortable, easily able to cook and enjoy meals from the deck and see the leaves in astonishing color, and it’s a perfect location to go on back country drives to enjoy the VT scenery. We fell in love with VT and can’t wait to return. Danielle was an incredible host, working with us to book a day earlier even, and the maple syrup is delicious. We’d book again in a heartbeat!

Had a wonderful stay at this property! We booked this somewhat last minute (~3 weeks before our trip) because it was close to Jay Peak and had enough privacy for 3 couples. We were really happy with how clean and modern the space was, and how well stocked the kitchen was in terms of appliances/equipment. Owners were very communicative and the whole process from checking in to checking out was smooth. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The first thing I will say is the property owner is an absolute delight! She was incredibly responsive and accommodating, she even saw that we had kids in our party and left us sleds and snow shoes for their use. She and her husband own the sugar shack next door and left us a lovely gift of maple syrup. The house is absolutely beautiful. The big open concept kitchen/dining/ and living room makes for a great hangout space for a large group. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you need to cook. Downstairs there is air hockey, ping pong, and a magnetic dart board, giving the teens and younger kids in our group things to do other than being on their devices. There are 2 bedrooms and the basement has a pullout, making it possible for 3 couples to stay in private/semi private spaces. There are plenty of spaces to accommodate air mattresses (provided by the homeowner) as well as comfy couches to crash on. The homeowner has even separated blankets, sheets, and pillows in containers for each bed. There was a lot of thought and attention put into making the stay comfortable. I have stayed in a lot of vacation rentals and this was by far one of the best! I will be booking again for next year!

We were 4 adults, 5 kids. Extremely spacious cabin with fully equipped everything!! The owners thought of everything for guests to feel comfortable. The cabin was decorated with modern flair and heated floors and toilets seats such an amazing touch!! Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Easy drive to Jay Peak for skiing. Thanks souch for sharing your cabin with us and lending us your extension cord last minute to charge our car!!

We had a great time relaxing and catching up with friends at the cabin in between ski days at Jay. The home is exactly as advertised, very clean, had all we needed and more! So peaceful to watch the snow in the quiet woods. And we had some minor issues arise during our stay that were addressed immediately by Danielle- incredibly friendly and responsive. We had a great time staying at Amidon Cabin during our Jay Peak skiing trip this February. This recently built house is very nicely decorated and is meticulously maintained. We liked the open design of the house and were particularly impressed by the modern kitchen. We enjoyed spending evenings in the hang-out spot in the loft. The ping-pong table in the basement was appreciated as well. The place is very spacious and quiet, and not far from town. The house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. I highly recommend this rental.

The Amidon Cabin in Montgomery, VT was a beautiful place to stay. The house was very clean, peaceful, and comfortable. Getting to and accessing the property couldn’t be easier. The open concept style of the house made it easy for our family get together over dinner after skiing Jay Peak. We had fun using the fire pit for some s’more-making :) The game room had everything you needed to entertain family and friends. Views of Jay Peak from the loft bedroom were beautiful. This house was the perfect ski retreat for our family. The host, Danielle, was very friendly and helpful. She was easy to get a hold of and a delight to deal with. The maple syrup was a nice gift and so good that we had to buy some more. We are looking forward to coming back to the Amidon Cabin next year.

We had a fantastic time at this home. Home was in fantastic condition with attenation to finest details. Owner supplied many small items that sometimes you forget to bring. Very clean and well appointed home. The neighborhood is super private with accents such as the fire pit for evening time. Very close to Jay Peak resort and a country mile away from local supermarket. It was a perfect stay for us. We just didn't want to go back home. The very spacious family room was amazing - with a view of the beautiful snowy backyard. Linens were very comfortable - 5 star hotel quality. Our kids had so much fun playing table tennis and air hockey in the basement. There were even many boxes of toys for our little 4 year old (building blocks, legos). Thank you for the complimentary maple syrup bottle - it was super delicious. We definitely plan to come visit here again.

Stayed here a whole week while working remotely and skiing. Less than 10 minutes to Jay Peak for both downhill and XC skiing, snowshoeing, and fat tire biking. The new house is well equipped for cooking and relaxing with new appliances and plenty of space. There are 3 couch areas with TVs. Behind the house is a maple syrup farm owned by the same owners, which has a nice 2 mile trail for snowshoeing. The property is on a dirt road which isn't very busy and makes for a nice walk too. Recommend this house!

My children and family friends truly enjoyed our relaxing visit to Danielle’s modern country home. The house was immaculate with state of the art appliances, style, and comfort. We especially enjoyed the view of the forest, complete with falling snow:), and the outdoor fire pit. The children in our group were kept busy with the expansive game room downstairs and had a hang out space upstairs, as well. Danielle was easy to communicate with and very helpful and prompt. My children were already planning their return visit before they even left:) We look forward to another stay.

This property sets the benchmark for what a perfect vacation rental should be and then exceeds it 3 fold. The location is quiet and feels remote and yet is a 4 mile drive from everything you need in Montgomery Center and just 5 miles the other direction to Jay Peak. As our base for the week we were able to split up for the day to ski, snow-shoe the Long Trail, run the quiet back roads or just stay home and read. The house itself is the perfect balance of being well equipped and yet minimal enough to allow it to be kept immaculately clean. Amenities are extremely organized with sheets and blankets in closets labeled, extra towels galore - more of what you would expect at a hotel than a home rental. The layout is super spacious (in fact far larger than it appears in the listing) and perfect for us to gather as a family and yet be able to escape to the downstairs or loft sitting areas. The kitchen had everything needed to cook great meals at home. And when the winter weather allowed the outdoor fire pit was magical surrounded by walls of snow and the VT woods. As prior property renters ourselves on VRBO we have perhaps unreasonable standards but this place checks every box. And as a relatively new listing this place won't be available very often and is a one of kind in the local market. Book it while you can!

The property was beautiful, clean, and newly constructed. Open floor plan was great for socializing after a day at the slopes (only a 15 min drive away!). We got blessed with 2 feet of snow and enjoyed late nights by the fire pit - couldn't have asked for a better weekend!

We had a fantastic stay at this brand new, clean, open, airy, well appointed home near Jay Peak. Location is idyllic, 10-15 mins to Jay (in snow). It's way off the main road in a private clearing with wooded hills in the backyard - perfect for snowshoeing trails and sledding (we recommend bringing snowshoes and sleds if you have young kids - you just have to go under a few maple syrup lines). The kitchen is totally stocked with everything needed to make a big meal. There's a big basement with ping pong table, air hockey table, and toys and games neatly tucked away in every cabinet. The kids (6 & 9 yo) spent their apres ski time playing downstairs while my husband and I relaxed on the main floor looking out at the snow falling on the birch trees. Everything is so well organized leaving the home open and fresh and feeling like a modern luxury suite at a resort (without the yuck of a resort). We will be returning!

Our stay at Amidon Cabin was beyond spectacular. If you’re looking for a stellar spot close to Jay Peak with all the feels of home, this is it. The kitchen was stocked to the nines with every gadget one would need for cooking and baking after a long day at the mountain. The loop trail through the woods was an added bonus. Still need more time outside after sundown? Throw some logs on the fire pit and mix up an evening cocktail. Needless to say, this property was everything we expected and more!
