Throughly enjoyed our time at 3 Boulders. Check in was easy and the home is lovely, well stocked kitchen, nice bedrooms and baths. But we really enjoyed the covered porch-visited and ate out there! Was a great family vacation thanks to 3 Boulders and Kristin.

Beautiful property, quiet and serene but easy access to all the activities adults and children can enjoy. We had 8 adults and 4 children ages 6mo-5. The hosts were super responsive and have done a great job of making their home very comfortable and well stocked for most anyone’s needs. Large kitchen and many areas that a large crowd can spread Out and have privacy. The property is not Handicap friendly which is the only drawback if that is an issue for you.

Amazing stay in Valle Crucis. We vacation in the area with several couples every Memorial week, and this was truly the first rental that felt like a home and not just a mountain house. Pastoral property, comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen with a huge island (great for cooking together), large deck to gather when we returned from exploring Blowing Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Spent several days here on a leadership retreat. Plenty of room for a large group, with everything you can think of. Wildlife roaming everywhere. Very relaxing. Will definitely book again.

As our grandchildren get older, some in college, some getting ready to graduate high school, and families living in different states, Christmas seems to be the best time to gather. Our hostess was so helpful before we arrived and answered all my questions as we hadn’t been in the NC mountains before. The home was perfect for the 11 of us- 3 master suites and then 3 other bedrooms for the grandkids. The main master was exceptional with spectacular views and a jetted tub and heated bathroom floors. The kitchen was fantastic and many people could be in there at one time. Our family dinners in the dining room were enhanced by the architecture and beautiful furnishings- lovely yet comfortable enough for all ages. Our grandkids hung out in the lower level most evenings- and into the early mornings- and none of the adults heard them at all! The views were spectacular from every room and nicely decorated inside for the holidays. The deer ere plentiful and on one of our last days a flick of wild turkeys landed in the field next door. Our only disappointment was the hot tub failed to work- though 2 men came out during our stay to try and get it running. Our hostess recommended dinner at Sorrento’s in Banner Elk- a must for anyone. Excellent food and service. If we can ever gather our tribe together again, we will definitely head back to the hills- er the mountains!!!

Our large family (two generations of adults) really enjoyed staying in this house! It's very large, with numerous comfortable bedrooms. Beds, pillows and sheets were comfy. We saw deer herd almost every day around the house! Often right outside the windows. The area around is quiet, we walked to the river (super clean water). Every night we all gathered around the wood-burning fireplace. We celebrated the New Year around the big dining table. Kitchen and the stove were great. We spent time outside on the porch, relaxed in the hammock. Played ping pong in the lower level. We really enjoyed this big and welcoming house! Appalachian ski resort is very close, so we went there several times. The weather was accommodating, and the artificial snow on the slopes was nice. The host was very responsive to any of our questions and/or needs.

My entire family does an Autumn Trip every year and we luckily came across 3 Boulders and absolutely loved our stay. The house is great and the location makes it even better. Aside from the neighborhood it's in, it is centrally located between Boone and Mountain City, TN. We sincerely enjoyed our stay and look forward to a potential return in 2024. We had a great time at this fabulous property! The house is magnificent and easily slept 10 adults and one infant. The location is very near the original Mast General Store and it is an easy drive into Boone or Blowing Rock. Highly recommend this listing!
