The property fit our needs perfectly. The location is excellent, just steps from the beach. The views of the ocean were exceptional. We spent many hours on the deck, talking, laughing, and enjoying the view. There were a few negatives. The roof deck at the rear of the home is in dire need of repair. None of us used it at all, and it was definitely off limits for the children. The elevator was not working. This was quite disappointing for us as a retired couple, and we were fortunate to have our sons there to help bring our luggage up the stairs. One last concern is that the paved road ends and changes to gravel right in front of the home. People driving by are usually going too fast and hit the gravel at speeds too high which kicks up the gravel and causes loud noise. Overall, it was a good stay. I would return if the necessary repairs are made.

Beautiful home at a beautiful location! The home was a perfect fit for our family. We enjoyed the beach in the morning came back and enjoyed the pool and then could enjoy the beach again from the big comfortable porches. We rocked our two year old to sleep almost every night on the porch listening and watching the surf!

House was very clean and great view. Nice front decks but the back decks needed replacing. Wrought iron railing is not safe. Some rotten boards in decking and the “crows nest” needs to be taken down. It is an accident waiting to happen. The pool was nice, however there was a leak somewhere so had to add water each day. Dining room table, chairs and bar stools needed to be replaced also. But we enjoyed our stay with family but would not book again.

The location for this OIB property was great. Only a couple issues when we arrived. The pool had not been cleaned so it was a huge first impression misstep. All surrounding pools were a pretty blue and ours was an unsighlty green. It was however quickly addressed the next day. Second, we had one mattress with farily bad staining, a mattress topper would have solved this, again first impressions. A new set of bedding throughout would have been perfect. A couple other items with old furniture and general cleanliness but we've come accustom to these things renting for the last 20 years. Functionally, a great house! Tons of room and tons of sleeping flexibility. It was pretty windy and cool during our stay so we spent more time in the house than normal but we were comfortable with a gourp of 11. Another couch in the living room would have made it perfect. Unfortunately the road out front is gravel so you get a ton of noise but the view compensates for this. You have an unobstructed 120 degree view of the ocean, beautiful! The elevator was great for transporting luggage and our "older" guests! A few updates and this is the perfect OIB house!!

Prompt and informative communication with owner. Very spacious and clean house, love having 2 full size fridges and microwaves! Very well stocked kitchen, good towels and bed linens. Nice balcony area and pool. Very close to beach access but nice to be further down the street where the beach isn't quite as crowded. Comfy couch in main room, very nice washer and dryer, all appliances worked great. Only complaint was kitchen chairs need new padding. We would highly recommend this place and would stay here again.

This property was great. Just one row off the beach but a real short walk to access. Beautiful views of the ocean with no homes in the way. Property manager was great and accommodating with the little changes we needed.

The good: Nice view. Great location. Plenty of rooms. Initially the owner was responsive- particularly when we got there and the internet password was not correct. She helped us get the correct one. The bad: - We called to have the pool heated the week before our trip and was told the heating wasn’t working. When we got there, we found out the pool pump wasn’t even working. So not only were we unable to heat the pool, we weren’t even able to use it at all. The owner agreed she should take it off the rental listing, but when we asked the owner for a reimbursement (twice), she did not respond. We would not have rented the house had we known the pool was not available. -The mattress covers were stained and dirty (one especially). It came clean when I washed it. -There were railings broken on the porches- not safe with kids. -Our bathroom hand towels and wash cloths were dingy and mismatched. -Kitchen hand towel was mildewed. -One sofa was very stained and needed cleaning or replacing. -House needed many repairs. -Living room and kitchen are not as spacious as the rental listing photos appear. We have never given a home a poor review. The only reason we are giving this review is to save others from the same issues. I understand that it is hard and expensive to keep up a property. The house was just not up to the standards we’ve seen in all our other rentals.

Accommodations were excellent. Manager very responsive and Communication was quick. All beds were comfortable! Wonderful location to beach. Kitchen well appointed but could use more measuring cups/spoons and unbreakable dishes for little ones. Kitchen sink lacking in hot water when hand washing dishes but could have been me not using the spigot correctly because otherwise no issues in baths etc. Overall LOVED our family vacation and would return!

My family and my friend and her family spent a week at this house in Ocean Isle. It has easy access to the beach (takes less than 5 minutes to walk, put your things down and be in the ocean!). The house is well maintained with plenty of room for every one to relax.

The house was nice, clean with a beautiful view of the beach. Will be back during the warmer months and hopefully there is not any construction taking place next door. The owner was very responsive when we needed minor details for an enjoyable trip. The house was well stocked with supplies and we loved the heated pool. Again, we will be back!!

Awesome location, amazing views... attention to detail would easily push this to a 5 experience!! The elevator was broken the first several days of our stay. The pool required re-cleaning, couches need cleaned/replaced, landscaping, window and linen cleaning could be better, master shower backs up and master closet is mostly unavailable/ used for storage. The owner was responsive and several came throughout to perform maintenance. The owner is also very considerate of families with MANY key necessities available for use! I do recommend this property and town. It's a beautiful home and quiet family stay, easily accessible to hustle and bustle and ample attractions if desired. Thanks Caroline for the experience!

We had a wonderful time reconnecting with family. We had a couple of things that need attention during our stay and the property owner responded quickly in address those issues. The house is beautiful with a great ocean view. The kitchen is perfect. We cooked all of our meals there. The house is in close proximity to any necessities. Our family spent the week between Christmas and New Years in OIB. We had a wonderful week at this property and found the entire process to be a positive experience. The house was the perfect size for us as it provided family space and areas that were private. The location was great and the ocean views were amazing.. Properly was located nicely with great views. Upon entering everything looked clean and neat. We had a great week. Lots of beach items available like chairs and kids toys. I would recommend!

There was plenty of room for all of my family members to enjoy each other along with time for themselves. Location was fantastic!

House was situated really nicely - great view of the ocean and just a short walk to the beach. Really wonderful pool - you might not think a pool is necessary at a great beach but it was very handy. Kids loved it and could go in it any time of the day. Adults loved being able just to lounge poolside as well. Great house - nice amount of bedrooms and baths. There are two adjoining rooms that share a bath -awesome for the kids! Might be time for some mattress upgrades. Adult bedrooms were nice sizes. Awesome decks - especially ocean side. We sat there every single night! One refrigerator just struggled to keep things cold. Drinks especially were generally just not cold like you hope. The grill when we arrived was very dirty. We reached out primarily because it looked like a potential fire hazard. Owner promptly sent someone over and he cleaned it up nicely! Just like a new grill. Thank you!! Any issues that I've mentioned are not show stoppers for sure. And the owner is terrific to work with. We'd rent there again in a heartbeat. Thank you for the terrific time and use of your beach home. Beach, ocean and family are good for the soul!

Lovely house with ocean views from generously sized decks. Plenty of rocking chairs, tables and chairs for morning coffee or just watching the sea. Well stocked kitchen, plus 2 refrigerators was a plus for the abundance of beverages on hand. The master suite was a delight for the grandparents with mobility issues as there is a step in shower with seating and a deck that offered ocean views. So much more was provided, including a crib, ample bureau storage and lots of kid’s toys. The owner, Caroline, was quick to reply to questions or concerns, particularly with an elevator issue that was rectified within 24 hours. Ages 1 to 70 all enjoyed this wonderful home:)

Our family had a great time at OIB. The house was very nice & clean with great views of the ocean from all the decks. We spent a lot of time at the pool (which we heated) since the ocean was pretty chilly. We had a difficult time with the elevator and there are a lot of stairs. A few things did not work such as the toaster and extra refrigerator but it was not a big deal. The owners responded quickly to all our questions.

This was our first time staying in Ocean Isle, we really enjoyed the quietness of the island. The communication with the host was excellent! The house is huge, having the pool heated in the cool spring was worth it! We would stay here again for sure!

We had a wonderful week of relaxation and comfort in the beautiful red house! Having breakfast on the top floor with views of the ocean and morning sightings of brown pelicans flying by. We enjoyed the heated pool, top floor views while relaxing in rocking chairs and peaceful walks on the beach. The home had everything we needed for our stay and more! We will definitely plan another trip soon!
