This was the perfect house for our family vacation!

We want to thank Jeff and his wife for making this a perfect vacation! Everything was so easy from arrival to departure. The home was exactly as described and there were absolutely no surprises. Plenty of room for our family of 9 to be together in the common area. Besides the beautiful ocean view every room was decorated in a costal theme. We all truly enjoyed the swimming pool too. It was so relaxing after spending a day fishing on the beach!

This is our 3rd year staying in this hime and we absolutely love it. Very convenient location, great amenities and owner is awesome! We will be back next year!

Dolphin Delight did not disappoint. The home was clean and comfortable. The pool, hot tub and game room added even more fun to our OBX activities. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to feed our group. The beach access is just one house away. DD is more than dog friendly. It is dogcentric. The owners thoughtfully provided dog dishes, dog mats and a space specifically for our furry friend’s food and water. The owner was responsive and helpful throughout the process. When we arrived we had some issues with the TV and the hot tub. Both were resolved promptly. We would also like to mention the delightful welcome basket we received upon arrival. In addition to the usual paper towels, etc., the owners provided playing cards, beach toys, note pads (great for making Food Lion lists and keeping score during card games), trash bags, OBX info, etc. A family wedding will prevent a 2025 trip but if we return to OBX in 2026 we will definitely consider Dolphin Delight

My family ranging from 3 years old to well...retired, enjoyed a wonderful stay at Dolphin Delight! This house had everything! I brought things like extra hand soap and muffin tins, but all was provided. There are several large serving trays for charcuterie by the pool or large dinners, and service for at least 8. I was pleasantly surprised! We stayed while a hurricane was offshore. It was wonderful to have the pool, especially in the back of the house, for windy days. The over wash from the ocean really came up a couple of the days. The folks across the street (Ocean Side houses) had trouble parking their cars out of the water and loading unload in knee deep water. We were high and dry at Dolphin Delight! We also received texts from Jeff to alert us to the possibility of high water and rip currents. Linens provided were also already on the beds at arrival. Such a nice touch after a long road trip. This property exceeded expectations, and I would highly recommend!

We had a fantastic week at Dolphin Delight. We were immediately happy with our choice when we opened the doors. It was immaculately clean and the beach was just a short walk away (viewable from the spacious decks). Jeff was very easy to get ahold of. We thought we had an issue and contacted him and he got right back to us (there was not an issue). We will be back for sure!

We always have a wonderful time in the outer banks.

There were ten of us and we had a great time together. Enjoy it every time we come.

Home extremely clean, well appointed and layed out well for multiple families. Will definitely visit again.

This is our second stay at this house. We really love it here. Avon is very quiet and the location of this house is really nice. Super short walk to the beach. The set up is great for a large group and for kids. The kitchen is very well stocked and week cooked every night. Pool and hot tub are great. The only small thing I wish the host would do is switch the TV's to streaming/smart tvs. We travel with small kids who need a break and while they do have it hooked up to basic cable and a DVD player there are so many remotes and we couldn't get it to work half the time. I realize that's a SMALL critique about an overall great property but might be helpful to other families. But overall FIVE stars for sure. The host is also easy to reach and helpful.

House is awesome, very close to the Ocean. Three levels, pool, hot tub & game room. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Jeff the owner is very helpful and kind. Very clean and comfortable house. We loved our vacation.

It's been over 50 years since our last visit to the Outer banks and what a change. We last spent two weeks at the Hattaras Sands Campground and this time we stayed in Dolphin's Delight. Five Bedrooms, A large Pool and a Hot Tub, Just moving on up from a tent was most enjoyable. The House was in the best condition for our arrival and the entire Area was ready for us to enjoy. The beach walkthrough was nearby and with the entire national park for a beach , we pretty much had it all to ourselves.The town of Avon had all that we required, Restaurants, Bakery's, Supermarkets, Gas stations, Bait and Tackle stores, Mini Golf and of course Souvenir Stores. Our Host Jeff wagner was available to answer any and all questions and always with a pleasant tone. Dolphin's Delight is the Perfect Family Getaway and will be enjoyed by many Family's in the Future. The house was perfect for our family! Allowed us to walk to the beach in the morning, come back for lunch at the house and then enjoy the pool in the afternoon! The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive to anything we needed! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a low key getaway with a larger group!

Dolphin Delight in Avon was the perfect house for our family beach vacation! The home was bigger and nicer than what the pictures portrayed. The house was very clean and well kept. There was plenty of parking space and the house was on a quiet street. A very family friendly area. The house is very close to the beach. Just a couple minute walk. The house was well stocked in the kitchen for all your cooking needs and had plenty of room for a couple cooks at the same time. The living room was spacious with comfortable couches and chairs. The dining area had a long table to fit our extended family of 12. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice and helpful that most of the bedrooms had private bathrooms. The washer and dryer are newer and worked well. We LOVED having a pool and hot tub at Dolphin Delight!! Such a treat when our kids were tired of the sand but still wanted to swim. We loved the 2 decks on both sides of the house and that each bedroom had an entrance onto the decks. There was plenty of seating on the decks- some out in the open sun, and some covered with shade for whatever you wanted in the moment. We can’t say enough about the area of Avon. We truly felt like we had gotten away from all the hustle and bustle of life. The extra hour drive south past the popular locations of Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head was worth it! You have all you need for vacation in Avon. Very family friendly! We would definitely return again!!

The house was perfect. Very clean, spacious, and right next to the public beach access path. The pool and hot tub were both very clean. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great, but we stayed busy in and around the house and utilized the hot tub on the chilly nights! 10/10 would recommend!

This home was a perfect setting for our vacation. We had plenty of room and the home had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay, easy beach access and close to everything.

Big house, minutes walking from the beach - great spot to stay with a large group and the property owners are accessible and attentive - highly recommend!

Great location & proximity to the beach. There was ten in our group, with everyone having plenty of space. Only fault, we could find, was that with a large group, we could have used a second refrigerator. However, the Pros far out weighed any cons. Would recommend this home any time.

Everything was ready and operational when we arrived. Sufficient towels and kitchen items. Only a short walk to the beach and the pool was nice.

Property is very well maintained and pictures do not fully capture the home. It was more space than we needed, a quick walk to the beach, and the pool was perfect.

This was the best beach vacation my family and I have ever been on! Dolphin Delight was beautiful and perfect for our large family. We loved the views from the multiple decks and enjoyed the pool and hot tub! I highly recommend this property to any large family who is looking to stay in outer banks for vacation!

This Avon home is perfectly located and very well stocked. The hot tub and pool are well maintained. The owner-Jeff is attentive. Smells and looks clean also. Hope to one day come back.

Location was incredible. House was exactly as stated, very clean and had everything we needed. Everything we needed was far enough away not to be heard to interfere with our relaxation.

We had such a wonderful stay at Dolphin Delight. The house was a bit large for our family of five but we can't complain! We hope to return with friends in a few years. Avon is a quiet area which was what we wanted. The house is across the street from the beach; it was such a quick walk that in many instances we didn't even bother bringing towels to the beach - we would just walk back to the house when we were ready to dry off. We spent every day (multiple times a day) in the pool and my husband and I enjoyed the hot tub after the kids went to bed almost every night. The house has large decks on both the beach and sound sides. We loved sitting on the front deck at night, listening to the waves and looking at the stars. Jeff was easy to communicate with throughout our stay. This house is a gem, we can't wait to come back!
