The inside renovation is very nice. And, the property owner did tend to our requests. However, the outside porch areas needed sweeping because of spiders. The outside furniture needed cleaning. There was a presence of spiders inside as well. The neighbors’ properties need much renovation . Perhaps tall shrubs on the side and back would be beneficial.

This house is as advertised. It is newly renovated, clean and well stocked. I really loved how there were shampoos, toothbrushes, and other toiletries stocked in each bathroom in case you forgot to bring something. The beds were comfortable and the overall ambiance relaxing. My only cautions to future renters are the following. We picked this house because it advertised 2 kayaks. We owned 2 and wanted 2 extra for our boys. The kayaks provided are not a high quality and did not fare well in the choppy lake. In addition, these kayaks didn't come with life vests. You must bring your own. Also, the houses immediately behind have dogs that barked often when we arrived and sometimes throughout the night. These houses are very close and are not pictured in any of the photos on this site. Just be aware. Other than these two concerns, this house was cute, warm, and everything we hoped for. Our family had a nice time just being together and enjoying the beauty of the lake and surrounding forest.

It was a great location, very clean and well kept. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a fun girls weekend at the house. Enjoyed a day on the lake with the kayaks. Yummy dinners at a couple local restaurants. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is houses immediately surrounding the property aren’t the best and wish it was closer to the lake. You can tell the owner gives the property lots of TLC and was very helpful during our stay.

We loved our stay in this great property. It offered everything we needed for a quick getaway and was completely as advertised.

I cannot say enough about how great of a place to stay this is. The house is immaculate - probably the cleanest property I've stayed at so far. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you need to cook any type of meal. My daughters even baked cookies! The beds are comfortable and there was plenty of closet space. We did not feel cramped – like you sometimes do at certain properties. You can tell the bathrooms have been upgraded, and the master bath has a cool circular shower design. Much like the kitchen, the bathrooms were well stocked. They even come with things like in-the-package toothbrushes, razors, and travel-size toothpaste in case you accidentally left yours at home. The living room is comfortable and comes with cable television. The dining area was great for a family of four. I loved the outside deck. Lots of places to sit and you can hear nature all around you. Very peaceful. The property is a very short drive to Lake Livingston (like 2-3 minutes) and the owner has two kayaks that you can use. I thought that was cool. The property has a fire pit outside and the owners had already pre-stacked the wood for a nice bonfire. It has four nice log seats that are positioned perfectly so you can stay warm without getting too hot. They were also the right distance to melt marshmallows without having to lean close to the fire. We only stayed two nights and I wished I had booked the place for longer. We’ll definitely be coming back, soon!

We could not have been happier with our stay. The house was just as advertised. Newly remodeled inside, completely clean with all the amenities listed. I work for a local nursing facility but I live out of town. Due to the storm, administration nurses were needed to stay close by to make sure residents of the nursing facility were safe and cared for. I rented this property and a group of nurses were able to stay near by and get rest at night. The owner was priceless and we had a wonderful stay.

My daughter and I enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay at this cabin. Everything is brand new! The cabin is comfortable and worked well for us. We sat on the front porch and enjoyed the cool weather. We took a walk down to the marina and walked around the neighborhood that had water-front homes. There are neighbors on one side and behind this cabin so we did hear children playing and dogs barking. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin especially for 2 adults.

Went there to "de-stress". The house is beautiful, super clean and was perfect. Super quiet and the lot next to the house is vacant so you have room to spread out and it is at the end of a cul de sac and there are no homes in front of the property. There is a nice sized fire pit available for use and the lake is a short walk. It's a secluded property, there are some neighbors but we didn't hear anyone the time we were there. Very peaceful and private. The decks outside are wonderful for coffee in the morning and just relaxing at night. The owner has anything you would need to cook with, extra toiletries and all the linens. I will be booking again in the near future!!!Thank you Sherry for letting us stay!!!
