very clean, well equiped and perfectly located accommodation! The owner is keen to help with any questions you might have. He speaks english as well. A laundry service and a Supermarket are just across the street. you get 20% discount when you order something in the Hotels restaurant.

The location is very good to all the excursions and restaurants. My room was clean with balcony and bathroom. The owner is a kind man who is on site from early morning to late night. The food is prepared fresh as you order.

Great location, great price. Room was comfortable. Good air conditioning. Had a balcony. Staff were so friendly they made the stay! Also the best pizza I’ve ever had just down the road!

Very kind staff at the reception and we could even check-in earlier because the room was ready. He had also good suggestions for things to do.

The lighting in the room was a bit bad (but that seems to be a problem in a lot of hotels in Panama). We had a little balcony, but it was very dusty (because of the dirt road). Also no view from the balcony (but was not expected).

Accommodation is slightly outdated, but not really an issue Would have been good to know in advance of coming that there is a Bocas del Toro water shortage issue, so there were a couple of occasions where we couldn't use the shower and had to plan this in advance. Staff were really good at communicating this whilst we were there and water deliveries were much more punctual than other places nearby that we heard about

It would have been nice to have a kitchen, since all the restaurants in Bocas were kind of pricey.

The location is convenient in a quiet area but just a few minutes walking to the most lively area. The room was clean and the balcony with hammock, table and chairs is cute to relax in the evening and see the sunset.

I suffered a food poisoning because of the breakfast at Casa Max and spent my day vomitting at the room. The breakfast is not included in the prize so I strongly recommend you to eat at somewhere else. The rooms are basic, expect no extras: Just 1 towel per person, no hooks to hang the towel, no shower gel or shampoo is provided, just soap. There´s no hot water but it´s so warm in Bocas that you won´t need it. The pressure and amount of water at the shower is a joke. If you have long hair I don´t think you can wash it properly. The attention is just bad. They don't give any infos or help. They have a bar/restaurant but I wanted to buy some water and they didn´t have. I wanted to buy a coke and they didn´t have change. There are much nicer places for the same prize with sea view and good attention.

We booked this hotel for the price but were surprised at how good our stay was. We were 2 people and got the bunk bed and double bed room. The room was big and very clean, the wifi was strong and the room had a nice little balcony. The bathroom was well lit which was great for doing my makeup. The owner who was always at the front desk was super kind and welcoming and was always there to answer any questions. He let us borrow beach towels every day and called us a taxi to the airport on the last day. The walk to the airport is do-able however we couldn’t do it bc it was so hot. It was a great stay and I definitely recommend to other future guests!

When I originally booked this with my credit card, I knew I had to pay at property. When I arrived, I was caught off guard to learn that the balance had to paid in cash not card. I did have the cash to cover but it did cut into the cash budget I brought. I ended up having to take out more cash from an ATM and pay a $6.50 convenience fee which is what I was avoiding. A lot of places in Bocas aside from well established restaurants and bars only take cash FYI!

The place was very cozy and cute. Our room had a spacious balcony with a hammock, so it was very nice to chill there in the afternoon. The hostel has its own restaurant where guests have a 20% discount, however the prices are still slightly higher than in restaurants/cafés. The rooms were cleaned daily, bed was made and towels were changed, which was very nice. Nonetheless, some of the towels were old and had either holes or stains - but they weren't dirty, they smelled nice and the stains were probably from something that you cannot wash off. Also, the staff was super friendly and helpful - especially Dimitrij :)

When we arrived and checked in, our room was dirty. There was apparently a communication issue between the reception and housekeeper, which caused an inconvenience for us as we had to wait more than 30 min to have the room cleaned. As an apology we were offered drinks (sodas or beers) for free, which was a nice gesture, however nothing special - we got 1 canned cola and 1 canned beer. Another "issue" was the loudness - the whole place is kinda loud, you can hear especially noise from the street. But it's Bocas, a party town, so we didn't mind that much, what was more annoying were trucks and busses passing by.

Wonderful calm clean oasis in a busy town. Warm shower. Clean spacious room. Nice balcony. Comfortable beds. Good air conditioner and wifi. Giant chess set in the courtyard. Welcoming and helpful host.

No complaints. Hope to stay there again soon.

Super friendly staff, we felt immediatly very welcomed! The room was super clean, the shower was one of the cleanest during our whole trip to panama. Also our room was large and we had two balconies

Super clean room (they’re cleaning every day), very comfortable bed and good location ( we slept exceptionally well here). The owner is very kind and helpful, he helped us a lot. He has countless good tips to make your holiday more enjoyable.

A/C in the room almost too good (bordering on cold at 23 setting) but sure easy to balance if more used to using

Owner is very friendly and helpful with local advice on renting bikes and activities. Discount for breakfast for hotel guests was a plus with many breakfast item options. Restaurant was a welcoming place for ordering food and sitting with a laptop or tablet or just relaxing.
