We thoroughly enjoyed the Whispering Pines house . It was immaculate , clean and spacious. The bedrooms were so comfortable, bathroom extra mirror for putting on makeup. Love having tv and full length mirror in the bedroom...The kitchen had lots of pots and pans, utensils for cooking, big enough for all to prepare meals. Living room and family room were so inviting and comfy . We watched a doe deer walk up the edge of the street one morning and a nice buck came up the hill in the afternoon. This was the most beautiful house we have stayed in. It accommodated the 3 of us couples and single friend fabulously. A couple things you may want to consider is a crockpot, Tv in the single bedroom and a couple boxes of kleenex. The garage was big enough for all 4 CanAm Spyders, enough parking for vehicles and trailers . Location was great for all the places we wanted to go .. We will keep your house in mind for another vacation.

This property was outstanding! It was perfect for our family's needs. It is clean, has plenty of room to spread out, and has an excellent game room. We saw big horn sheep and mule deer right outside the house. It was near all the things we wanted to do. Our family was extremely happy with the house and our vacation. Thank you!

Every year three of us couples from our hometown rent a cabin in the Hills during spring break. We have done this for a number of years so far. The Whispering Pines Retreat was amazing. Each couple had their own master suite with bathroom. The open kitchen, dining area, and living room area was perfect. We had plenty of room to prepare and eat our meals, play games, or just relax by the fireplace. Everything was so comfortable. The game room was huge. We didn't have kids with us, but this would have been the perfect place for them to play pool, foosball, or just watch TV. The property was clean and well-supplied with all the utensils, cookware, and tableware that we needed. The agents were easy to work with and were prompt in replying to my questions. This property is certainly at the top of our list for rentals in the beautiful Black Hills.

House was beautiful. Comfy beds, very spacious, plenty of kitchen supplies and bath towels. Nice decor and clean. Beautiful views at all angles of the house. Hot tub and the game room were the best for us! The dart machine wasn't working though. Overall our stay was awesome. We have a family of 5 and every one had their own bed and their own bathroom!! Super bonus.

Property could have been cleaned more thoroughly. There was no working coffee maker. Beds were great. The game room was pretty amazing. Overall a very nice stay. The deer around the house ate out of our hands.

Very nice house with a beautiful setting! The house had 3 bedrooms with very comfortable king beds and one bedroom with a full size hid a bed. Each couple was able to have their own bathroom. The wrap around deck was very relaxing. We all gathered for coffee in the morning and drinks and snacks in the evening. Beautiful views and wildlife to see!! Lots of parking for trucks and trailers and very close to Utv trails. The host were available by text and attentive. The only complaint is the coffee pot.. one was missing lid so we couldn't use and the other one was slow but worked. Would definitely stay again!

Great Place, just a few concerns
We rented this place because there was four sisters traveling together and we each wanted our own beds and bathrooms. One bedroom had no sheets on the bed so we had to call to find out where they were. The towels in all four bathrooms were folded and put away damp in the bathroom cabinets, so we had to dry them all, Beer cans and cigarette butts were left around the hot tub, we did not clean them up we just took pictures incase we were blamed , .We thought we didn.t have any dishes because they were all left in the dishwasher. We just felt like whoever cleaned was in a hurry! Other then that we really liked our stay there!

Valentines getaway
My wife and 3 other couples came here for a quick weekday getaway! It was perfect and they were very accommodating to us (even had flowers ready for our wives on arrival)! Would highly suggest and will absolutely stay again!

Not adequately cleaned up from previous guests
When we arrived the two provided garbage cans were heaped overly full with additional bags laying in the driveway, animals were scattering garbage. There were beer cans laying around the deck and the grill was filthy. There were dirty socks left in the game room and cigarette butts laying all over around the hot tub. We contacted management who promised they would get back to me but I never heard from them. We ended up cleaning up beer cans, cleaned the grill and just took our garbage home with us ....very disappointed for the cost of renting

The home was very clean and well stocked with all the comforts of home. Easy to find and quick access to Terry Peak and Deadwood. The family really enjoyed the weekend break.

Great Property Overall
Property its self was great. Bedrooms upstairs maybe didn’t have clean sheets found hairs. And there was a lot of cobwebs and dust all over the property. But overall great and would probably stay again.

Lovely house!
This house was a perfect location for our travels in the Black Hills. It was quite large for just the 3 of us and we loved each having a master bedroom to ourselves. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that there was something beeping all night the 1st night behind a locked door in the basement and then the fire detectors went off for no reason several times in the next couple of days causing disrupted sleep. However, the property management company was very accessible and responsive at all hours when this occurred. It just took a couple of visits by maintenance to figure it out. If ever in SD again, I would stay definitely here.

Enjoyed Our Stay and Would Stay Again
We really enjoyed our 4-day stay. Property was quite large for a group of four. Kitchen seemed to have the tools we needed for the few meals we cooked ourselves. Amenities like the hot tub and game room made for good evening activities. Enjoyed seeing the deer and wild turkey each morning while drinking a cup of coffee on the deck. We'd definitely stay again. Great layout for family or couples.Great views. Excellent location. Plenty of parking. Everyone has their own space plus rec room is great gathering spot. Convenient for what ever you plan to do-sight seeing, utv riding, tourist spots and gambling-we got it all in and still had time to relax. Grandson loved seeing deer eating in the yard every morning

It was better than advertised. Very clean, there were activities in the game room, plenty of TVs, and plenty of refrigerator and freezer space.
Great location with only a few minute drive to deadwood. We have already talked about re-booking it again for next year.

This property was a joy to stay in and it met all of our needs. the response whenever we had a question was prompt and helpful. There may be other properties that are as good as this property is in the Black Hills but I will never see them because I will always stay at this property.

We loved our stay at this home. We had 3 families and everyone had their own room and bathroom. The deck and hot tub were great places to relax after a day of sightseeing. The game room was incredible and we had some fun competitions that somehow grandpa kept winning! Excellent location!!!

Friends on a motorcycle trip
This house is great for a motorcycle trip for a few couples. We parked the bikes in the garage and didn't have to worry about rain. Each couple had their own room and bathroom, which worked out great. The hot tub was great after a long day riding. The views were wonderful in the mornings from the deck. We saw deer and a turkey during our stay. When we came back to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay! The three king rooms were very large and on suite bathrooms. Huge game room with plenty to do and a large living space and kitchen. Located a minute from Main Street in Lead and a Michelson trailhead. Clean, fully furnished, all around great place, would stay again.
