Staff helpful and very friendly, excellent location and reasonable prices

The mattress was a little soft for me

There was a good restaurant and bar attached to the hotel serving food each evening. The hotel is on a bus route with regular buses to the town centre and train stations

A classic old school German hotel. Very nice people and good food. The hotel feels like the 40-50s but not in a bad way.

Small hotel in a quiet part of Gladbeck. Sizeable room in an annex building, with a calming garden view. Very quiet. Comfortable bed. Huge shower area. Good lights in the main room, but better lighting for shaving would have been useful. The beer garden was a great experience, with excellent food. Very friendly staff. Ample parking.

No breakfast. No instructions for TV set (finding the desired channel required channel surfing).

Difficult to evaluate due to the corona-situation. Might be more than ok under normal circumstances.

The room was clean and staff was very helpful. Although I do not speak German, there was no problem to communicate in English. Definitely I can tell it is good choice, at least for one night stay like mine.

There were some noises in my room of some dripping water in the pipes, but not very loud.
