La chambre était spacieuse, propre et très confortable. L’hôtel est situé à quelques minutes à pied de la place principale Le personnel est charmant et nous donnes pleins de bon conseils Les hamacs !!

Pas de vue sur le lac ( mais on le savait !) c’est la seule chose qui manque pour que cet hôtel soit parfait !

You get exactly what you expect with this property, from the pics to the Instagram it’s exactly the same. Spotless and incredibly comfortable. I love how the pool area is planted so you get privacy. The location is great, two blocks back from the lake and a few blocks into the main town. The owner, Juan, is a delight, as are his staff. After three weeks in Mexico this stood out as my favourite accommodation. Highly recommend

Nothing not to like. A kettle in the room would be a welcome addition. (I’m British - always after a cuppa tea!) Also… the smoking area (outside of the hotel) is not the best position. It would be really nice to have somewhere a bit more comfortable to sit that is not on the street and blowing smoke into the restaurant. Just a thought.

Blue Palm is fantastic: built with a robust philosophy of welcoming guests who look for a quiet, tastefully made oasis - the intimacy of the rooms and pool spots (every couple of sun-beds are divided by a batch of flowers and greenery), great generous breakfast. Also, lovely staff attentive to all your needs and a great location (Bacalar is fairly small but long!). The reception is both a reception and concierge 24/7. We met Juan, the owner, on our first night and got some great recommendations for best spots and activities and had the pleasure of a great conversation about Mexico. Rating fully deserved.

Nothing that I did not like

The host & staff are so friendly, they made our stay unforgettable. The breakfast is amazing and the rooms are very comfortable and beautiful! The pool is great and the plants provides lots of privacy in-between the groups of sun beds. We would highly recommend to stay at Blue Palm Bacalar! And make sure to book the sailing trip via the hotel, this was the highlight of our holiday!

The location was perfect, about 5-10 min walk from the city center! Parking was available. The host was a very nice lady who gladly told us about Bacalar and provided an extensive list of suggestions and tips! She also was available to help with any reservations or taxi’s. The pool and chairs are also very nice. And the breakfast was really good too!

The room was quite noisy, as we would hear loud music until 3-4am each night (the price you pay for the location). Room furthermore was okay, nothing too special. Bed was (for our liking) a bit on the harder side.

One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had, the hotel was cared for down to the smallest detail, and the owner came by every day at breakfast time to help us plan the day, which he did with each of the guests

The rooms were nice and clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant on site was really good. The whole hotel stayed pretty quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

Nothing I didn't like about this place.

Whole property (including restaurant) designed very tastefully and with attention to detail. Perfectly clean. Due to the limited number of guests (16?) very tranquil and chill. The pool area is extremely beautiful. Silent A/C, good beds. We loved the breakfast (3. options). During our stay the manager (Juan?) went from table to table during breakfast to chat, listen(!) and provide very useful advice about activities. Eco-remark: Bikes and filtered water available for free!

I remember only one minor detail, however, we encountered this almost permanently in Latin America: we would have appreciated a 2nd trash bin or a foot operated bin. The bathroom bin has that karma in countries where the paper doesn't go into the toilet and you feel like washing your hands every time you use it for "normal" waste.

The hotel is in a great location, about 5 mins walk from the lagoon. The pool area is nicely decorated. The bedrooms are very spacious and had a nice balcony with a hammock. The owner was particularly helpful with providing information on what to do.

Just a couple blocks from the city center where there are a good amount of places to eat, cafes to hang out, and other things to do. I liked how spacious the rooms were, the pool, availability of towels and the ability to do laundry on site. The owner was really friendly.

The water pressure in the bathroom so it was hard to get a good flush and take a quick shower. It took a while for the AC to work and the SMART TV channels (prime, netflix) didn't work.
