First impression was that the house was cute and very clean, but the back yard was a bit unkempt. House is really close to the next door neighbor's home, and almost directly across from a brightly lit gas station at a busy intersection. We had been told via email earlier on the day of arrival that the previous guest had not reported damage on the bathroom wall, and we were also advised to not use the back door for similar reasons. That message was a little disconcerting and we were a bit uncomfortable with being told not to use a specific door. We did see the damage in the bathroom that was mentioned, obviously caused by someone slamming the bathroom door in too hard and the door handle causing damage to the sheetrock. The only other damage we saw was one drawer pull in the kitchen was missing, and we did report that. But yes, overall it was very clean and well kept, which I appreciate. One suggestion that would help make the stay more comfortable would be to invest in a queen size mattress and either box springs or a mattress platform for the master bedroom. We are two mid 60-something year old adults, and it was not the most comfortable to sleep on a double mattress placed directly on the slats. Overall we were glad to have a clean place to stay, as we were in town to see our grandson's high school graduation and visit with family. Thank you for making your place available.
