The ocean, beach and walking/jogging way is a very short walk in one direction and the bay is a very short walk the opposite direction! Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. I had the best beef burrito at a local taco stand that the owner recommended! I encountered one very minor issue and the owner called and solved the problem within 20 minutes! If I were travel to San Diego in the future I would definitely book here again!

Great location, bed was nice and comfy, and it had everything we needed.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Place was clean and comfortable, and appointed with all of the necessities and more. Communication with Doug was outstanding. We’ll be back.

Great one room with kitchen. Easy access to beach, dining and Pacific Beach area

The place was comfortable, clean, and modern. Working perfect for a 3 night stay with my spouse. The only improvement is that the TV is at a difficult spot to watch from bed, but we did not mind.

Doug was great to work with. Wish the TV wasn't on the side wall. Had to watch it sideways from the bed. A comfy chair would be a great asset. One kitchen chair is very wobbly. Would rent from Doug again.

Excellent stay,.. Second year in a row. Accommodations are perfect as is the location. Parking can be a challenge as we have a small truck but that's the case in all of SD. Will definitely return next year!

Great location. Be prepared the refrigerator is close to bed and is a bit noisy. Complex had flys everywhere not sure why.

1st time using VRBO - will repeat. This listing is as advertised and served my wife and I well during our stay in the San Diego area. The location is awesome, you are indeed just 100+ steps from the beach! Owner was very communicative, small glitch with entry code to start, but addressed immediately, and smooth sailing from there. Room fit my mobility needs (manual wheelchair user) grateful for that! Perhaps adding a small nightstand to either side of the bed or both, would be nice for setting a phone or glasses at night. Beyond that, it was great! Would highly recommend! So many cool "local places" to visit, all within easy strolling distance!

A great little place for spending a couple days on the beach. It’s not a huge space but it has all the essentials. The bed was comfy and the place was super clean . Beach towels and chairs were included, and the kitchen was updated and stocked with all the utensils we needed. If you don’t need to be right on the beach, this is an awesome, quiet property that will work great for you!

Very good communication. Studio was clean and up to date. Loved that we were so close to the beach. They even provided boogie boards and separate towels for the beach.

Location was perfect and the room was just what we needed. Really appreciated the timely communication from the host.

We really enjoyed this centrally located property. Very short walk to the beach, restaurants, the boardwalk and grocery options. Property was well kept and safe. We had no trouble locating and check in and check out were a breeze. The only suggestion I would offer would be room darkening curtains for the main window. The outside lights are bright and stay on all night. I would stay here again every time. Thanks!

My mom and I stayed here during our vacation to San Diego. The location can't be beat which was our number one priority and for that reason alone I'd consider staying here again. If you are looking for a very basic, no frills, cheap place to stay right on the beach then this is for you. There were several things though that did not live up to the listing. First of all, it says there are beach chairs for use at the property, however there was only one and it was broken, so bring your own beach chairs if you want them. The kitchen had very few cooking supplies and not much silverware. There was a burnt-out lightbulb in the bathroom. And the ceiling fan was very wobbly and loud. In addition, we were unable to check in at 4pm as advertised as the cleaners were still in the apartment. We arrived at 4 but had to wait outside until 4:30 when they finished. Lastly, there are no bedside tables which was fairly inconvenient.

The apartment was updated and new. The location was amazing since it was steps away from the beach. Initially we had an issue and contacted the manager. He responded very quickly and took care of the problem. We will definitely return here next time we visit

Great location super close to beach

The home is aesthetically beautiful. We really liked how it looked when we entered. It was cleaned well. We had a few issues with the bathroom, but Doug handled it immediately. He communicates well. The home is conveniently located between the ocean and the bay. The town is full of restaurants and turns into party central at night. We loved the shared scooters around town. It’s how we enjoyed our stay. The only weird thing was hearing people walking above us in the evening and morning. The sounds didn’t wake us up though.

This was fantastic little BNB with everything you need. The location was unbeatable.

Our family had larger VRBO around the corner on Windemere and we needed a little extra space. This was perfect - had kitchen with coffee for the mornings. Short walk to the beach and to family location.
