Such a wonderful getaway! The house was beautiful, pristine, and fully stocked for anything you may need in a home away from home. The water toys were so much fun and everything was easily accessible. We fished, kayaked, paddle boarded, you name it, we did it! Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway with family or friends! I would give our stay 5 stars however we did have bumps from the moment we checked in. Checking in was easy. However, the property was not cleaned. We asked to check in earlier and were told no because the property was going to be cleaned. Which was not true because that did not happen. I contacted Lisa the host right away, she apologized and sent the cleaning crew. She was very responsive and prompt. The mattress in the guest room/kids room was not comfortable and the beds were super squeaky. Every time we moved they would squeak. I must say the home itself was really cute. The kitchen was fully equipped with spices, dishes, and everything you can think of. The garage itself had everything for fun. The kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards, fishing poles, life vest, beach chairs and beach toys for kids and much more. I would have loved to give it 5 stars but the cleaning issue and the uncomfortable beds is why I am giving it less.

Nice quiet neighborhood and an easy 15 minute drive to Galveston. The kayaks and paddle boards were so fun!

It was a perfect location along the water with amazing sunset views. Kitchen is fully equipped and we appreciated the Pinot Noir gift. We caught five fish off the lower deck and enjoyed the Yolo boards. The house stayed nice and cool during the hot days. We look forward to staying again. We looked to come back for Thanksgiving but it was already booked, so book early and enjoy.

We did not want to leave! We rented a golf cart to make traveling to the beach easier and to explore the community. Jamaica Beach is so quiet and peaceful. My husband couldn’t get enough of fishing right off the deck. Our 8 yo loved hunting crabs on the beach at night and catching crabs in the canal w the crab traps. I loved having the washer/dryer available. The sunrises and sunsets are gorgeous. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped.

I brought the kids here for a week of fun in the sun in Jamaica Beach. The house was wonderful, and the owner was very responsive to messages. We like to make homecooked meals, and this kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to do that (minus the ingredients of course!). Other great things about the property are the comfortable living room with large TV which was amazing for down time for the kids in between beach trips. The garage was well stocked with plenty of things to do....The kids enjoyed picking out their beach toys/boogie boards from the selection. There was plenty to play with!

very clean and well stocked - lots of toys for both young and old; paddle boat, paddle boards and kayaks , beach chairs umbrellas sand toys - we take our grandkids on vacation every summer, almost always to Galveston - we will definitely be back - fantastic stay!!

Jamaica beach is awesome! The house is great and close to lots of things, we decided to rent a golf cart in town for the week for ease of use to and from beach, and other close places... it was perfect. Would definitely rent again.

Our weeklong stay was awesome. Check-in and check-out were smooth with clear instructions provided by the host, Lisa. Lisa checked with us during our stay to see if there was anything we needed. Groceries were all we needed that was not provided. The home was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated, with a great bay and sunset view from the furnished deck overlooking the canal. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. It was a short bike friendly ride to the beach. The home and amenities were as described on the Vrbo website. We enjoyed the bottle of wine and chocolate candy bars that were on the dining table when we arrived, nice touch. If you are looking for a great rental property in the Galveston area you need to consider this one.

The house was clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful long weekend! I know my family is looking forward to another trip to Jamaica Beach and will plan to stay at this house again.

Our stay was way beyond our expectations!! Check in was super easy ! The home itself was so clean and welcoming! It was fully stocked and even had extras if needed! The location was great, the views are beautiful and the sunsets are breath taking. You are also not far from the beach either and we had plenty of space! Our boys loved the paddle boat and the kayaks! We were able to fish right off the dock. After a long day of fun in the sun, we wanted to unwind with watching Disney plus but it was not available but after speaking with the host in less than 10 minutes she had it up and running for our boys! The host is so responsive and sweet! For our first stay here we could not have been more happy and before leaving we were already trying to plan a second trip!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. Very nice and clean home, we were very comfortable throughout the stay. Relaxing, quiet getaway after long days visiting local beaches and family attractions.

Location was great! Home was clean and comfortable. Booking and checking in/out was easy. Caught several species of fish (sheephead, speckletrout, black drum, croaker, red drum) withoutbhaving to leave the property.

We enjoyed our stay at this cozy home. Everything was as described. Really close to beaches. We’d stay here again.

Was Clean, Fishing & padle boat were fun

We had a great stay! The house was very clean, check-in was a breeze, and it is very close to public access to the beach. The house is in a nice little community and everything looks well taken care of and seems very safe. It is located quite a bit from the popular Galveston restaurants, so keep that in mind when going out for food. You will have to drive a bit. We couldn't find very many that would deliver to us. Also, there is a little bit of construction across the house on the canal and also across the road. It was a little noisy when we tried to enjoy a late afternoon nap after some fun in the sun. Nothing the homeowner can do about that, but just keep that in mind if you stay here in the next few months. The house was great! No complaints. The sunset view on our last night was AMAZING!

We had a great stay here! The house did not feel small at all despite a family of 5 being in two bedroom home. Two bathrooms was a huge plus, as was the outdoor shower. No crabs in the canal, but we did catch some fish off the deck. Location was great for a short golf cart or car ride to the beach which you can drive right up on. You do have to cross the main highway to get there but there is a light coming out of the neighborhood! The property does include a lot of extras but at the time of our stay the paddle boat was not functioning, a lot of the fishing poles were non functioning, and a lot of the beach equipment was broken. There was still enough to make it work, but barely, and had we known we would have packed some of our own items. Other than that the stay was fantastic, the property was very clean and well maintained, and the location was outstanding!

Great place to make memories

The property is beautiful and the perfect getaway. We spent a week here with another couple and had an amazing time. It is very close to the beach. I can’t say enough what a wonderful place this is and how accommodating the host was. We arrived thirty minutes before check in and we were allowed access to the home. They have lots of amenities as well. This is a place I would definitely like to stay at again.
