The property overall was pretty good. We did arrive to find hair balls in the master bath shower and sink. We called the property manager and didn't hear from them for 2 days. It is a nice house and is well located. Unfortunately we also had rats running around on the deck and the ground below.

The location to town was within walking distance which was nice. Easy to get in and out of the drive and quick to get into town or across the bridge. There is a bit of new home construction going on in the area, but we only heard them once the whole week. The steps down to the beach were a bit steep for our kids, but they managed well. Lots of room to play in the sand or in the water right outside your door. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Surf City rental.

My family enjoyed an amazing week together at Keeping it Salty in Surf City, NC! This was the perfect, beachfront quiet getaway. The house was perfect for our 3 generations - plenty of space for everyone to be together and enough privacy when we needed it. Beyond the calm coastal decor, the house and kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed and more. For as amazing as the actual home is - the view, decks and beach access were even more spectacular. We spent nearly our entire week relaxing on the beach, swimming in the ocean and searching for beach treasures. It was perfect! When a small issue arose with the dryer, the management company was quick to respond. They sent a temporary fix immediately and had the repair completed in less than 24 hours. We appreciated that the entire experience was swift and stress-free.

The home was very comfortable for our family. Tons of beautiful modern updates, and very thoughtful accommodating details that we have never seen in other rentals. We loved it! My only suggestion would be to put a railing on the top bunk, we were too nervous to let any of the kids sleep up there.

Everything was wonderful, from check in till we left. We had Amazing weather which was a plus but the beach was beautiful, the neighbors were friendly and the area in general was very nice. We've been vacationing at the beach for 20+ years now and this was by far our favorite beach house. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

Reviewer Comments: First and foremost, the customer service we received from the management company from start ot finish was hands-down the best we've ever encountered and we've been renting on the island for 8 years. On to the house..We truly felt like we were staying in a 5-star resort. The house had been updated top to bottom with no detail overlooked. The rooms were a bit smaller than previous homes we've stayed in but it made us realize what a waste a huge house and price tag that came along with it was...since we're rarely in it. Location was also perfect. Not nearly as crowded as other locations with regards to beach access. Staying at this home will hopefully become a new family tradition for years to come.
