If you want to experience French Country living, look no further. This house has ripped right out if a novel. One piece of advice. You are in the country, so please do not expect high speed internet. The house is solid concrete, and although there is internet, not all rooms receive it. You are forced to truly unwind, which is a good thing now a days.

We love the history of the area especially the D-Day beaches they are on the doorstep. The house itself was so easy to settle into and all beds we used were comfy .our host Catherine was most helpful when needed and we are hoping to go back next year .very private property and sitting in the garden was lovely.plenty of safe parking a big plus as we had three cars with us .Susan and family .

We had a wonderful four days at Peter and Tom’s gite. The grounds were lovely and the attention to detail in the house was greatly appreciated. We loved Mary and Wally the resident dogs and they loved us too. Only a 10 minute drive into Revel where we could shop for groceries. A great few days to re-charge. Thank you so much.

Four adults stayed five nights in April 2023. Great location to reach DDay beachs and memorials, Bayeus. !-1/2 hours drive to Mont St Michel and Honfleur. Grocery stores (Lidl and Intermarche) were both close by. As we had heard from others, a bathroom in France may not necessarily include a toilet. On the second floor, there are three bedrooms. There was one full bath (toilet sink tub) attached to a bunk room which was not slept in. The middle bedroom had no ensuite bath. The largest bedroom had a partial ensuite of sink and shower. The powder room was located on first floor. Stone stairs between first and second floor. The sunroom is a lovely addition. Beds were comfortable. We felt safe in this area and in the home.

It was such a comfortable place to be- lots of room for the 6 adults who traveled here. Great location for day trips- we included Mont St Michel one day, as well as the D- Day museums and beaches. Great communication with the hostess- couldn’t have been nicer to tell with!

Pretty, spacious house
The house worked well for our party of 8. We had a family with three kids and they stayed on the top floor, with the rest of us on the second floor. The bedrooms are spacious, beds comfortable except for one room that really needs a new mattress. The decor is pretty and the house is old and really cool to stay in. Kitchen and sun porch are great. There is a huge back yard with fruit trees to explore. The weather was damp and chilly so we were not outside that much. The wifi and cell service are not good here and it was not a huge deal for us - but be aware. Location is very good - don’t miss the snail farm quite near the house. The owner and property manager were great to work with. We locked ourselves out and Christine came right away to help us! Thank you!

Wunderschönes Anwesen in toller und idyllischer Lage
Wir haben den Aufenthalt mit der Familie und unseren beiden Hunden sehr genossen. In der nahen Umgebung gibt es viele schöne Örtchen, Städte und Strandabschnitte zu erkunden. Auch geschichtlich hat die Gegend einiges zu bieten. Das Anwesen hat wirklich Charme.

Wonderful stay in the Normandy country side.
We stayed here for 3 days, and the property was exactly as we hoped it would be. We were able to experience staying in a well kept historical home in the Normandy countryside. There were 10 of us and the property worked out extremely well. Large rooms filled with period furniture, located on a beautiful large private property. Catherine and Christine were wonderful to work with, and we would highly recommend this place to others.

Superb in every way.
Everyone in our group of eight had their high expectations exceeded by this wonderful home. The historic house itself felt wonderfully homelike, and was even more picturesque than suggested by the online pictures. The expansive grounds/garden were so inviting some of us napped on the chaise lounges out back. The location, however, was perhaps the best feature of all. Although we could be in Bayeux in under 20 minutes, and Arromanche in about 4 minutes, the house itself felt delightfully “remote” with much-appreciated peace and quiet after five days in Paris. All in all, I cannot recommend this property highly enough. Many, many thanks, Catherine.

Agréable et belle demeure de famille pour un we en famille
La maison est très chaleureuse et bien chauffée pour un séjour d'hiver. Le coin salon est très accueillant pour prendre thé et café autour du poêle à bois. La grande table de salle à manger est parfaite pour les repas de famille avec de la belle vaisselle et même de grandes théières (très rares dans un gîte) particulièrement appréciées pour les amateurs de thé comme nous. Nous n'hésiterons pas à conseiller votre gîte.

Magnifique et confortable gîte dans une maison de caractère à proximité des plages du débarquement. Equipée XXL, d'un calme absolu avec un grand jardin idéal pour les enfants. Accueil très symathique. A recommander sans réserve.

Demeure exceptionnelle, spacieuse, très calme, décorée avec goût, literie de rêve, cuisine fort bien équipée, serviettes de toilette en abondance, chauffage et cheminée parfaits, vaste terrain arboré et parfaitement clôturé pour les animaux de compagnie, jardin d'hiver chaleureux, chemins et petites routes jusqu'à la mer, accueil parfait ! On reviendra!

Très bon séjour, nous avons découvert une région que nous souhaitons revoir. Très belle bâtisse. Par contre, la sortie du lieu en voiture est vraiment problématique.

Vivifiant séjour dans cette belle bâtisse , aux pierres pleines de charme plantée au milieu d'un vaste parc agréablement arboré. L'endroit dégage un charme certain et permet un repos complet. Accueil convivial et souple, complètent avantageusement l'ensemble.. Nous reviendrons. !

Un Noël 2020 d'exception !
Nous avons partagé, en famille, une belle parenthèse avec, dans le salon et dans la salle à manger, deux poêles qui nous ont permis de partager des moments chaleureux et magiques, dans une ambiance très coocooning! De très grandes chambres confortables agencées avec beaucoup de goût. Côté cuisine, très spacieuse, nous disposions de l'essentiel. Tous les ingrédients y étaient pour passer un agréable moment en famille. Les immenses espaces extérieurs permettent de se plonger dans une belle nature propice à la méditation. Nous avons même cuisiné des pintades au barbecue. La situation géographique nous a permis de découvrir cette belle région chargée d'histoire! Belle demeure pleine de charme!

Dit was de 2e keer dat we verbleven in dit prachtige huis met enorme parkachtige tuin. Top locatie, heerlijke open haard. Heel veel te zien en te bezoeken in de buurt. De 1e avond was er een probleem met de electriciteit en dit werd supersnel opgelost, dank aan Christine en de electricien!

Prachtig huis, prachtige locatie, dichtbij alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden, bedden bij aankomst opgemaakt, handdoeken genoeg en lagen klaar. Huis werkelijk van alles voorzien, zeer complete keuken inventaris. Contact met de verhuurder heel prettig.

Fantastisch huis
We hebben hier een midweek verbleven. 4 volwassenen en 3 kinderen. Vanuit deze prachtige accommodatie, keurig verzorgd, schoon en heel sfeervol, hebben wij de invasiestranden en diverse musea bezocht. Fantastische locatie om dat te doen.

We had a lovely stay here in October with 3 kids (16, 16 and 13) and our dog. The house is near all the important D-day sights and very close (about 5-10 minutes by car) to the beach of Arromanches. There is also a bakery, a small supermarket and places to have breakfast, diner or a drink. (Walking to the beach is not really an option because of the traffic). We loved the athentic house with the huge fireplace with the big dining table next to it and the big garden with trees with really tasty apples and walnuts! . The beds slept really good.
